  1. Seriously, how are they so bad on offense, what is the philosophy that leads them to these decisions when at the plate?

  2. Just me or are the Astros the fastest downward spiral of any offense over the last 30 days???

  3. This offense fucking sucks. We’re basically .500 in every month except June, which is what Tags just posted.

Also, prayers up for Taylor Ward. That shit looked serious.

  4. Im not sure we make the post season with how bad we are and how good our opponents are playing, but if we do, we are gettting swept in the wild card again.

  5. Hope Ward is ok

Astros continue to struggle offensively…not a good place to be going into September.

  6. August was horrible. September better be better.

Rags are getting closer and they concern me a lot more than the Mariners.

I hope Dana Brown is there to light a fire up this team’s ass.

  7. You will not win many games when your 3 hole hitter is rocking a sub .600 OPS for basically a full month now.

Seems the home hitting woes have returned in full force. Teams just pitch around Yordan knowing Jose will give them a double play. Correa is having his first slump since returning to Houston. We’re watching Melton take consistent AB’s right now.

Back to only a 2 game lead, and honestly, now we have to worry just a little about the Rangers. Only 4.5 back (assuming they close out their game today), though I could see the wheels falling off soon with missing Eovaldi and Semien for the season.

Just get me to October playoff baseball. Then we’ll see what this team is.

  8. I knew I was worried about this team when everyone started talking about us having the “easiest remaining schedule” before the ASB. We’ve always struggled against really bad teams but now we also struggle against mediocre and good teams too.

  9. Team needs to get their heads out of their ass and they need to do it now given our schedule the next three weeks:

    vs Yankees
    @ Rangers
    @ Blue Jays
    @ Braves
    vs Rangers
    vs Mariners

This has the potential to get absurdly ugly

  10. Lol this offense is being dragged into the postseason clawing, kicking and screaming. This team needs another shakeup this off season, but with the coaching this time.

  11. On one positive note it appears Blubaugh is gaining confidence and improving in his showings.

Offense remains terrible. Melton remaining in the lineup is one of many instances of malpractice. Sure, he is a lefty batter. But he is a bad one. So this experiment should be over.

  12. Fuck. What happened to this team. Talent is there but offense just decided to die

  13. Worst Astros offense since 2013. We’ll be swept right out the wildcard round with brown and framber putting up 7 innings of shutout ball losing 1-0 in both games.

  14. How is it that the Rangers can do what they’re supposed to do by taking advantage of facing horrible teams (like the A’s this weekend), but we can’t ?

  15. Might be an overreaction, but if I’m Dana I’m firing any coach that has to do with offense. Straight dogshit

  16. Sucks what happened to Taylor Ward, but holy crap r/baseball is insufferable. I get that the Crawford Boxes can be seen as a gimmick, but there’s no way they’re the worst stadium feature ever invented.

  17. Is your pitching staff struggling?

Does the 2025 season have you down in the dumps?

Are you a pitcher with a 48.6 ERA?

Have you ever pitched in a beer league (I mean, MLB) game?

Is a life goal of yours to throw a perfect game?

WELL HAVE NO FEAR, THE ASTROS ARE NEXT ON YOUR SCHEDULE. AND YOU, YES YOU CAN FIND SUCCESS. CALL 1-800-SHIT-BED (744-8233) NOW!!!

  18. Letting the mariners back into the race is pathetic, we are so much better then that. We need to wake the fuck up. Fire cintron please.

  19. 5-3 on series wins for August. Offense has been terrible this past week. Hopefully the can split the series tomorrow. They need to figure it out quickly.

  20. We slump hard every August so we’re bound to rebound in September, right?…. Right?!?

  21. The Rockies and White Sox won. It’s like the baseball script writers were having a laugh today.

    STILL in 1st place, btw.
