  1. It’s like the warning track shrinks when he is on the home run leaders board

  2. I’m at the game over the third base line, the sound of his head hitting the wall was insane. They took their time getting him off the field too, I hope it’s just a bad cut and nothing else.

  3. It’s cool how Houston managed to build a ballpark that’s not only hideous to look at, but also extremely hazardous for the players on the field. A truly rare feat in modern-day baseball.

  4. I love weird dimensions and corners in baseball but damn can we at least round them off and add some rubber padding or something

  5. It wouldn’t be an angels season without a Taylor Ward head injury! 🙁

Edit: I just wanna point out Chafin trade is worth it just just because he was the first guy to be out there for Ward and to help him out.

  6. Maybe we need to turn the warning track at the Big A into a minefield just to stay competitive.

  7. Poor guy man fuckkkk. . And I’m an Astros fan. Bums me out seeing players get hurt especially like this

  8. Hope he’s okay, that shit was scary watching live. Dude hit the worst part of the wall he could hit

  9. Gotta love Chafin. Dude was ready with the towel in seconds.

As far as Ward goes, just please no concussion. I wanna see him get 100 RBI this year

  10. I got cut there as a kid. Huge gusher and an ugly scar. There’s a reason cut men in boxing are as proficient as they are. That spot bleeds a lot once it opens up.

My biggest concern is with the concussion. Heal up Wardy!

  11. I’ve very lightly walked into things that had that kind of impact. That had to hurt soo fuckin bad

  12. My money is on stitches and concussion. With his head tilted and eyes closed while riding on the cart while going off the field, that’s a head that’s been rung. Prayers for a full recovery.

  13. The fact that Ward has endured now two bloody injuries and still will return to play speaks volumes on his mental toughness as a player. Some guys(youth leagues) get hit in the face and can never return to the game. Mad props to Ward. Wishes him a speedy recovery.
