What About The Miami Dolphins Can Make You Feel Pessimistic About 2025!
I know. I know. It’s a holiday weekend. It’s a Sunday and I’m out here being a pessimistic. That’s not even I’m out here being pessimistic, not being a pessimistic. But this is part one of a two-part series. So, let me explain myself. [Music] What is up, Finn fans? Hope you’re having a fantastic Sunday. Yes, you are getting a Douglong video on Sunday. Uh tomorrow, I will be talking about optimism with the 2025 season. Then on Tuesday, I’m giving you my record prediction for the 2025 season. Then Wednesday, I give you the picks like I do every year. Again, if you’d like to join the Pickham League, it is linked in the description. The password is fins up with a capital F. Um Thursday, I think I’m going to take a day unless news breaks or something. I don’t know. Friday, we are previewing the Colts game and then I’ll be live 1:00 with my father live streaming the Colts game. I’m also in talks with a certain uh NFL player to potentially do something for you guys. So, I got a lot planned for this week and we’re very close. We are very very close to uh 53,000 subscribers. I will tell you as of me recording this the exact number we are sitting at and it is 52,916. [Music] I need 84 more subs. So if you’re new to the channel and you like this content, go back and check out my other content. Hit that subscribe button. Let’s get to 53 before Sunday. So today we are talking about pessimism. pessimistic a pest. Um, and I asked you guys in the uh post and as well on Twitter, uh, which one would you like first? And obviously a lot of you guys wanted the optimistic one first. But then I thought to myself, I don’t want to go into the season on negativity. I think one of you guys even said that, and if you notice giant cut on my finger, I took skin off my finger. It hurts like the dickens. Um, one of you guys even said that. I’m like, that’s a good idea. That’s like a good thing, right? Well, get be negative out of the way and tomorrow we’ll talk about being positive and yada yada blah blah blah. So, today we are talking about why uh you might be pessimistic or why you might be negative going into the 2025 season or things about this team that might make you feel negative going into the 2025 season. So, obviously, this team isn’t perfect. We’re not looking at the the Philadelphia Eagles. We’re not looking at any of these teams that have all these great attributes to it. So, there are aspects to this team that makes you uneasy. It makes you a little negative um going into the 2025 season. Maybe I’ll change the title. Well, you know, things about the Miami Dolphins that make you feel uneasy. I don’t know. I think it’s pessimistic. I’m going to stick with it. So, the first thing on my list, and again, it’s not a list of 1 to 10, it’s just dashes. The quarterback position, I I don’t think anyone really going into this season is sitting back feeling fantastic about the quarterback position. We just signed Ris Douglas, so he kind of has to get accustom and understanding of what this team is going to be. Uh, outside of that, we have Storm Duck, we have Jason Marshall Jr. because we cut um Mike Hilton. Jack Jones is on there. Guju Brents who we uh claimed off of the uh Colts um Arty Burns is gone. Jason Matri gone. Kater Coh. These guys are all on IR. Then you got you know Ethan Bonner, Jason Marshall Jr. So you and Cam Smith. So you’re looking at this quarterback group and none of it really makes you feel confident going into the season. Um cuz again you have Rul Douglas didn’t have a great year last year. What is he what are what Rul Douglas are we going to get? And obviously you look at the last Bill that we brought in to the secondary. You had um Jordan Puyer who was a mercenary kind of taking out our own players and costing us games against his former team. And then he goes to Buffalo when he’s like keep receipts. Take your receipts, crumble them up, and shove them because we keep receipts about you taking out Jaylen Phillips and then costing us the Bills game by having that hit and they kick a 61 yard field goal. Kick rocks. Anyway, um so that quarterback position, right, it could work. And again, this is for that’s more for tomorrow. But when you look at it and face value, you’re like, are we a little bit in trouble there? Is is this something we’re in trouble about? So, obviously the quarterback position definitely gives us a negative feel going into 2025. The other and this is the big one. This is the one that has been talked about to Aalo staying healthy. Obviously, we’ve seen when he is healthy, aka 2023, we win games. We win a lot of games with him, but there’s been so many times that he gets injured and then we have someone come in and this year it’s it’s mindboggling, right? he gets injured and we have Jacobe Brassette come in and it’s like oh Jesus and then he gets injured and we have you know other backup quarterbacks come in and it’s like oh and now we’re sitting here and god forbid this man gets injured we got Zack Wilson as our backup quarterback coming in. Does that give you any sense of ooh this is going to be fun? No. Honestly, they should have got Joe Flacco. It would have cost you less money and we’d all feel much better as Joe Flacco coming in than Zack Wilson. But don’t they decided we’re going to give $6 million fully guaranteed to Zach Wilson because we have so much confidence in him because he’s shown that he can be a starting quarterback in the NFL. That is sarcasm. He has not shown it being that this is his third year in four the third team in four years. So that is definitely something that you can be very apprehensive, negative, pessimistic, whatever about is the fact that if Tua can’t stay healthy again, the season most likely than not is going to go down the pooper and let’s hope and pray and again this is for tomorrow that the man learned maybe he learned. The other thing, the tight end position, we are relying on Darren Waller, who hasn’t played football in a year, who hasn’t done OTAA’s, mini camp, training camp. We haven’t seen him with our physical eyes all off season, all training camp, all the time. And now we’re sitting here like, let’s do it. And if it’s not him, it’s Julian Hill or Tanner Connor. That’s it. So, you look at that tight end group and you’re like, “God, I hope Darren Waller is healthy and in great shape and comes out and plays like he did with the Raiders because if not, jeez Louise, are we going to be really depending on Julian Hill and Tanner Connor?” And again, I don’t need to pile on Julian Hill, but how many times do do we have to take one step forward and two steps back whenever Julian Hill is on the team? So, tight end group, you know, we go from having Janu Smith and feeling really good about the tight end group and, you know, we had like the fourth best tight end in the NFL, things are great to all of a sudden they trade Janu because he wants more money and then they trade for Darren Waller instead of going out and trading for any of the other possible tight ends. They get Darren Waller. And, you know, I thought they would added another tight end. I was definitely wrong cuz I remember saying to you guys, I wouldn’t be surprised if they had another tight end before the start of the season in like the middle of training camp, but the Dolphins were like, “No, we feel good about Darren Waller. He looks good. You won’t see him, but he looks good.” So, yikes. Uh, other thing, and this is obviously something that has been a talked about subject for years and years and years and years and years and years, and that’s the offensive line depth. It’s non-existent really. I will say this. I will say this. I’m gonna backpedal a scotch. I will say this. The addition I I’ll throw a little little teardrop a little teardrop. Comment below if you can do that. A little teardrop of hope in this pessimistic video. Kendall Lamb edition makes me feel a little bit better. A little bit better. But here’s the problem. They might need him at right tackle. And the reason he got cut from the Philadelphia Eagles and didn’t make their roster is because he was trying to learn and play right tackle. He is much, and I’ll say it one more time, much better at left tackle than he is at right tackle. So again, there’s that big old question mark. Then you got Liam Mikeberg who’s done for four weeks. And I’m hearing that his injury is not something that might be a easy fix. like, you know, he might be down for a while. Like, from what I heard from Omar Kelly and um Alan Pupari, like he he’s still limping. So, there’s that. Daniel Brunkill and then Larry Borum. Do you feel Do you feel good about the depth on the offensive line? Now, obviously, the Dolphins in it because they brought Kendall Lamb back, but it’s like hia it ain’t good. Ain’t good. And speaking about the offensive line, there’s a big fat unknown. Now, Patrick Paul and Jonah did very well during training camp, especially Patrick Paul who was manhandling people. I love the fact that he laughs at people and he is a crap talker. That makes me very happy. But there’s that unknown there, right? We know what we’re getting with Aaron Brewer. We don’t know necessarily in real liveaction games what we’re getting with Patrick Paul, what we’re getting with Jonah, what we’re getting with James Daniels and Austin Jackson. We haven’t seen him all training camp. There’s big fat bulbous unknowns all across that offensive line. And for this team to be successful this year, they need to be able to run the ball. They need to. And if this offensive line can’t get it going, it don’t matter who’s back there. It’s something you’re going to really worry about. Like, you’re really, really going to worry about. And again, makes you feel uneasy. Another thing, you look at the schedule. We got some tough stretch of games. Obviously, you got Baltimore, Buffalo, Washington. Now, the Washington game was scary at the beginning of the season. The more I’m thinking about it, I’m like, eh. But it’s still a tough stretch of Baltimore, uh, Baltimore, Buffalo, and then Washington. Now, I will say those three games are home, right? So, makes you feel a little bit better, but it’s still a tough stretch of games. Los Angeles isn’t a a team you can really put your nose up at. Then after the buy, you’re at New York, at Pittsburgh, home for Cincinnati, home for Tampa. Now, I have said this, and again, a little teardrop of optimism in this pessimistic video. I have said that a lot can change from the beginning of the season till now. We saw that last year when we saw the 49ers and the Browns, and we all were like, “Oh, that’s a tough stretch of games.” And we won those games. But on paper right now, Tampa Bay is a hard team to beat. uh Cincinnati, Joe Burrow, that that offense, especially those receivers against our secondary, that big fat question mark. Hard to beat. Pittsburgh is always a hard team to beat, especially when you’re in Pittsburgh on Monday night. Difficult team. And then we don’t know what the um Jets are going to look like come December. And again, it’s in my neck of the woods in December. So, there’s a tough stretch of games. You know, there’s two sections of this schedule that you have a tough stretch that can bring some some apprehension. You might need to take some medication. That was horrible. I’m sorry. But you know what I’m saying is there’s there’s a part to worry about. And then the last thing in this last one I wrote on here because I was sitting here and I was like, “Oh yeah, we don’t have Jason Sanders for four weeks.” And it’s not like it’s four weeks because this the way the schedule works, we have the Colts, the Pats, and then Buffalo. Uh Pats and Buffalo kind of in the same week that Sunday to Thursday. Then we don’t play a football game of the week of the 21st, and then we have a Monday night game against the Jets at home. So, you know, you might say to yourself, “Oh, well, he can come back for No, no, no. It’s not weeks, it’s games. He needs to miss a minimum of four games before he can come back off of the IR. So, we’re not gonna have Jason Sanders for Indie, New England, Buffalo, and the Jets. Hopefully, this kicker we brought in is a good enough kicker and it doesn’t come down to we need him to kick one to make it and he misses cuz that’s going to really chap a lot of our tushes. But again, I was like, let’s get this video out of the way. I don’t expect this video to get a lot of views. I expect a lot of push back in the comment section, rightfully so. I might I might expect a good amount of people agreeing, but there is a certain aspect of this team to be pessimistic about. And let’s get that out of the way because tomorrow’s video where I’m talking about what we have to be optimistic about, it’s going to make you feel good going into 2025. And you might think to yourself, they could be competitive. Now, I’m not saying they’re going to win anything. Again, this is still a pessimistic video. I’m not going to sit here and tell you they’re going to win the division. They’re going to win 10, 12, 13 games, but tomorrow’s video might make you feel a little bit better about 2025. It might make you think, “Hey, we could be in some games that I don’t think we could be in.” So, comment below. Let me know what you guys think about this very negative, pessimistic video. I normally don’t do these. I do them when they need to be done. But, comment below. Let me know. I got a crazy week of content for you guys. So, hit that subscribe button. Let’s get to 53,000 before the start of the season. I will see you tomorrow. You might get two videos tomorrow. You might even get a live stream tomorrow. I got something planning. So, comment below. I’ll see you tomorrow like usual. Stay classy. Fends up.

Why aren’t we going after peppers and evn grabbing shilo sanders for the future
How about Dolphins Collective doing pix video for whole league and tracking who wins the season..,sounds fun
I’ve been Pessimist ever since the end of last season when they didn’t fire Grier and McDaniels…… The Dolphins will not be good again until Ross , Grier and McDaniels are history!
Even when compared to the best of the best in the league. That Miami front defensive 7 is DISGUSTING. We have a chance.
Well, Tua’s already injured, his hip hasn’t completely healed, they kept him out the end of last season because his hip was bothering him, i give him three games and done.
To be fair all the talk about us not beating good teams, almost all of them have been against the top teams on the road, most NFL teams are not winning those games. This season it seems like all are tough games are at home, so no excuses, this team needs to put up or shut up.
Our front 7 is going to be the best pass rush since 01 . That's going to be our overlooked power.
I hear you say if Tua stays healthy; my response would be
When will we address the OLine ?
We don’t have protection and we will suck again
No magic to this team
Upper Management should be fired and get some people that will address the O Line and protect one of the most accurate passers of the Football
Tired of expecting success when we have a bad O Line
That teardrop was so cool, I thought it was a sound effect from your board or something!
Smith had a good season because tyreek and waddle wasn't doing anything when Tua wasn't in the lineup. if tyreek and waddle plays the way they should we really don't need a good tight end.
Being a pessimist*🤷
Joe Flacco in this offense, HELL NAH. Jimmy G or Mac Jones I'll feel better
Credit to you Doug keeping this video to only 14 minutes.
I soooo loved 'Dude-ly' putting Poyer in his place…and where Poyer can place his comments
Nah, after over 50 years of mediocrity the phins don't deserve anything but pessimism. So start low and let the current team actually achieve something first.
Miami fans are really dumb asses
The positives far outweigh the negatives…the OL is better..the DL is better. The rb room is better..the lb room is better…minkah brings a leadership to db room..that can only help vs what jalen ramsey did…poor leadership..backup qb is a ? But better than last year
Trade for Laremy Tunsil and Robert hunt get them both back here then sign free agent DT Khalil Davis
We need a line to open the whole for rb's n protect tua since we keeping him that rookie G sucks he lets defender get inside of him everytime he come off the ball he supposed to get inside to drive in open whole's he gone be our starter his hands be all over the air getting pushed around guard was how tua was getting killed last year go get hunt put him back at rg move Daniels to the left we need to get these lineman back I love our dline now we need to work on our oline
I don't think I needed any help from this video, but I watched it anyway just to support the channel!
Take this with a grain of salt though I’d rather have hungry “I need to prove myself corners” than I’ve been there done that it’s just another day.
