The NASTIEST pitches of August ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

up and out of the zone. Got him. Nasty slider to strike out Juan Sodto. And that one came back and knew it. Strike three. That was a nasty pitch up in the zone. Newbar down on strikes for the second time. One away in the Cardinals eight. Yeah, I like to call this I still start twitching thinking about Mike Maddox. This is exactly what it is. Great pitch right there coming back right for Brad Lord. That’s where the change up needs to be for him. Successful down in the zone. Look at this. Starts about ball above the knee. Perfect spot. Another 02. Got him swinging with the splitter. Yamamoto so dominant against lefties. This nasty splitter. [Music] Oh, called strike three. That’s just mean. He’s been around the block and he’s a good one. He can still spin a baseball too with the best of There’s some nasty stuff from Morton as Turner is gone. He chased one and then he is called out on strikes and that’s the first strike out for Charlie tonight. Bell remains at first and here is Jos Tina. Tana swings and misses again up the ladder with a heater. 94 got a little extra velocity did Logan on that one and he puts Jos Tana away. Swinging a miss. Got him with a nasty cutter and Hagerty is down on strikes. Max Freed threads the needle here. Gets Garcia. Good luck. And it is swung on and missed. He got him with a sweeper. That nasty pitch might have bought him one more hitter. O2. Swinging a miss. He got him. Fast ball blows him away at 97 mph. Crochet’s eighth strikeout. One-two pitch. Got him. Swing and a miss on that knuckle curve with a nasty late break to it. And that will do it for Kyle Freeland here in the fifth. Swung on and miss. He struck him out. That was pretty nasty. Breaking ball down and in. Strike out number seven for Tanner by. And he will leave with the Guardians in front. Nine to three. [Applause] down swinging. Kershaw struck him out both times. Two gone in the third. A hitter with his reputation and talent is not going to strike out looking twice. So, you know, especially now that you’re ahead 0 and2, you do not have to throw a strike and Clayton got it just below the strike zone. Two two from Lazardo. Him down on strikes now. Two away. First strike out for Lazardo. Nasty, nasty slider sweeper. Snell fires. Kirk strikes out. Swinging. Nasty breaker from Blake Snell. Backto back punch outs to begin the second. It’s ridiculous his command right now. Nasty. Swing and a miss. Get that splitter working. Backto back strikeouts. That’ll wrap up this fourth innings. Swing and a miss. Strike three. Nasty curve ball ends Montgomery. One, two here. The world’s his oyster. And he gets that check swing and strike three. One out. Base is empty. The Christine’s one, two. It’s another splitter. And it’s nasty. Three straight swinging strikes for a Rose Arena who starts the third time through the order with a whimper for Seattle. Sparks that index finger up on that pitch. Nasty sliders on the outside corner at the knee. Strike three. Holy smokes. What a pitch by Brash. Three pitches he strikes out Mauricio. Two outs for the Mets. Man, what a sequence, too. We saw Mauricio, those two hits you mentioned, Rick, we’re down and in. Pretty good. Another 3-2. And that time, Alvarez picked it off the ground before it hit it. A strike out of Raleigh. That’s a big bounce back for Holmes. On the eighth pitch of the at bat, a little slider there that backed up. A Rosarena is gone. Holmes picks up his second strike on two on Rave. Swing and a miss. The cutter finishes off the fifth for Davis Martin. And that man obviously being the manager that he was. Oh, that’s a nice job by Carmen. He’s at just 43 pitches with two outs here in the fourth inning. He just continues to find ways and all pitches are working. The split change is working. The curve ball’s working. Look at that. Get a good look at that. That pitch has really come on. Oh my goodness. 02 pitch swing and a miss. Got him with a nasty curveball down and away and it is a strike out of Matt Shaw. And a swing at a miss. It’s been the off speed today for Peralta. Two down, 02 pitch. He struck him out. Riceel does it again and the Braves win again. Nice outing his last time out against Tampa Bay. Went seven innings. Got him. I like that. And he got him. Strikeouts in the inning. Got him. He earned it. Just a nasty curveball. Got him. A little bit of a backup slider here, but again trying to go down and in Diaz strikes out swinging. O2 pitch right down the middle. Couldn’t get it. Three straight Ks for Rogers. It’s the invisible. That’s what I’m calling it cuz this fast ball is almost invisible. I don’t know what it is at 91 right down to hard, but hitters simply just don’t see it. And Hobbies goes down on strikes. Nasty slider from Peterson for his sixth strikeout. I mean, what a conundrum. Murphy tries to hold, but he went around strike three. That kept the Diamond Banks alive and tied it up. Strikes out Alexander here. Well, we saw the prior pitch was a cutter in off the plate. Then he goes back to the slider away and it just totally opens up the outside corner. 02. That one cut on and missed. Dirtbound curveball. Edward Cabrera. Nasty again tonight. That’s strikeout number 10 for him. And he’s through six innings of one hit shutout baseball. Swing and a miss. Strike three. Oh, we’ll take that. That was a nasty one in the dirt. Young goes after it. Oh, nasty. That’s there for strike three. Knuckle curb again. Little different break to it. Again, a little bit harder. That went a little bit slower than he has been throwing his knuckle curve. It paints that outside corner. There are enough bats in this lineup to cause some trouble for TK Scubble, our wallside windows starting pitcher. Oh, without a doubt. Langers is one of them. It’s a part two two slider. Just nasty. That is absolutely filthy right there. Nothing you can do if you’re Shay Langelier. Just ties Langanger up in a knot. They go in order. Swing and a miss. Nasty. That was awesome. A change up and Cowser gone on three pitches. Another 3-2. Otani finishes him off backing that slider. I really love the characteristics of this pitch. What I mean by that is the way it started out. It looks like a fast ball coming right out of his hand. It has a late break. Nasty breaking pitch for a strikeout. And already the third for Otani. Going for a strikeout here with a runner of third and he gets it by reaching 100 with a perfectly placed elevated fast. He’s going to see a 12th pitch from Chapman with the Orioles down to their final strike. And he takes it at 99 for strike three. Razledazzle at the end from Chapman. 99 to the corner. Oh, that’s pretty curveball for strikeout number 101 on the hook this year. Braber getting Kyle Keros for the final out of the inning. He started the inning and ended the inning with a strike out on his favorite pitch. Yeah, he’s only been thrown out twice. He goes, it’s a strike and it’s an out. That’s a heck of a tag put on by Adam. You get a double play.

Shohei Ohtani, Aroldis Chapman, Max Fried, Tarik Skubal, and Justin Verlander were amongst the pitchers who threw some serious heat in August!
