St. LOUIS CARDINALS SEPTEMBER ROSTER EXPANSION MOVES!
some moves for the St. Louis Cardinals with rosters expanding here in the month of September. Hey, it’s JD from Locked on Cardinals. And no, it’s not like it used to be where you just added like 30 dudes to the roster at the major league level. Uh the roster expansion in September is much smaller now. Uh center fielder Victor Scott II who has been out for a couple of weeks now uh due to that ankle sprain that he suffered. He’s back with the team as well as right-hander reliever Chris Roycraftoft as they prepare to host the A’s for a three-game series at Bush Stadium. Victor, as I mentioned, out with that ankle sprain. Should be a full go, although he’s not in the starting lineup on Monday. Meanwhile, Roy Croft, we know he has struggled at the major league level. 6.92 RA in 14 appearances, but there is a butt. There has been progress at AAA Memphis. Uh 1-1, 2.81 RA, 15 strikeouts in 16 innings. The move also makes sense after some concerning news about right-hander reliever Riley O’Brien, who has taken on a prominent role since that trade deadline that moved three relievers out of the Cardinals bullpen. Had to have an MRI done on his sore right shoulder, has been shut down for the time being. He’s been really good. 1.69 RA and an RA plus of 248 in just 31 games. So hopefully he’s okay. Injuries have been an issue for him throughout his career. For the latest updates and info, be sure to keep it locked on Cardinals.
