🔴LIVE 🔴Seattle Mariners VS Tampa Bay Rays/September 01/ MLB THE SHOW 25

Major League Baseball on tap. It’s the Seattle Mariners taking on the Tampa Bay Rays. And we’ll be back with the first pitch right after this. And now, please welcome your Tampa Bay Rays. About to get started here. Our starter in this one, Ian Seymour. But Chris, he hasn’t exactly been stellar here on his home mound. Well, I’ll say this. Every player wants to perform well at their home ballpark in front of their fans, in front of the city. And you know, this guy no different. He wants to be more effective here. So, you know, you look at the numbers, they haven’t been great at home. I’m sure he wants to turn that around and we’ll see if he’s able to start that in this one. And it goes just foulitch 735. right side and that one handled. Fires over to first and a quick out number one. And now we check out the Mariners lineup and perhaps part of the game plan is to get into the bullpen as early as possible. They’re facing a staff that’s blown a lot of games in the later innings. Booen as hitters, you’re aware of that, but you don’t want to become too relaxed and wait too late in the ball game because you never know what could happen on any given day. But with that said, even if you fall behind early, you’ve got a lot of confidence that this game will not be over until that final out. Fouled off down the right side. You know, Raleigh made history in 2023. He had a game with two home runs and six RBI’s, becoming the first catcher in Mariners history to do that. That’s a base hit. So, a man aboard now with one away. Singy. That was a laser shot. And a good thing we have Stackcast to give us the details. Yeah, get out of the way on that one. That ball flew out of the box at 112 miles per hour. You talk about generating a ton of power in that swing. He did it with quick hands, good lower half, and just unloaded on that ball. And now it’s Julio Rodriguez. [Applause] Come on. and the one. Raleigh leads off first with one away. And a strike in there. That’s a great take right there. Even though it’s a strike with the situation, runner on first base, you want to keep the ball off the ground and you swing at that pitch, most likely you roll into a double play. There’s a swing and a drive that’s back there and it’s a one hopper off the wall. Should be extra bases and they’ll score first. It’s one zip. Christopher Morurell coming into the game now as the injury replacement number. One down, runner at third. And next will be the cleanup hitter, Josh Naylor. He’s been really clutch with runners in scoring position this season, so they’ll have to be extra careful in this matchup. He was late there. Strike one. Kelly just threw that fast ball by him. Elevated. And if you’re not looking up in that location, very difficult to catch up to. Deep drive down the line. Foul ball. Run around to third. One gone. Well, that ball was hit pretty hard and sure had home run distance, but if you’re the pitcher out there on the mound and that one gets away at the plate and the runner holds. Just misses with that one. Was a good pitch there. Really had some run and finished little up and end just on the edge. And that’s one of those if you swing at it. He had a broken bat as you jog back to the dugout. Oh, I’m not sure what he was waiting on right there. He got the change up and still late on it. You rarely see that. It almost makes you think that he was trying to set the pitcher up. I mean, if you can’t catch up to the off speed stuff, there’s no way you’re going to touch a fast ball. Au Suarez up to hit now. Good power. Not great in the OBP department. That one ripped. dives and he can’t hang on. In to score is the runner from third. It’s two nothing. Oh, that started and ended pretty quickly. No messing around right there. Put a pretty good jolt into that one. Great swing. Nice balance and weight transfer. And he got it to drop in out there in the deep part of the field. So, runner at second, two now. The batter now, Jorge Palano. And a first pitch fast ball is in for a strike. Rudder at second. Two down. That one in there across the letters. Perhaps not quite ready to hit. First two pitches by him for a couple of strikes. Now back is against the wall. He’s going to have to figure something out and figure it out quickly. And a pitch just missed. Really good take especially with two strikes. Swing and a miss. Struck him out. Inning over. And it could have been worse. They get two runs on three hits. No errors and one left. On to the bottom of the first. It’s the Mariners two. The Rays coming to bat. Back now in Tampa Bay and today’s starting pitcher, Bryce Miller. Well, he’s been a real quality starter for his club. And coming into this one, what stands out for me is that right-handed hitters have really struggled batting below 200 on the year. It seems that they have a hard time picking up his release point and tracking the ball into the zone. So, we’ll see how right-handers do against him in this one. Bottom of the first and stepping in for the Rays number 14 and that’s downstairs ball one. Well, after putting up a nice inning on offense, got some runs across. This is where you look for the starter to go out there, have a shutdown inning. Don’t give that other team any hope. Uh you just hope that he can get through this inning, get the bats back up there while they’re hot. And that is out of play. Let’s go Chandler. The 1-1 is fouled off. One and two here. Spoils a two strike pitch. And he’ll see another. Not close with that one. And the count now even up. Oh, this is a guy that can be frustrating for pitchers because he fouls off so many pitches and grinds out the at bat. I’m sure there’s sometimes where a pitcher would rather just give up a first pitch single than to have to waste six or seven pitches on one hitter. Makes the grab. One down. Come on now. Now a look at Kevin Cash’s lineup for the Tampa Bay Rays. And no doubt a big factor in this series so far. Brandon Laauo Boo. He’s really been showing off the pop in this series so far. Two homers and you know he’d love to add on with another shot today. I’m interested to see how they approach him. Lao at the plate. All right. And there’s a foul ball now. A fly ball to right center. Rodriguez on the move. He’s got it. And there’s two down. Oh, those can be pretty fun as an outfielder. Got to put it into his highest gear and go a long way to track that one down. Nothing better than that. You feel like a wide receiver playing football. Junior Camro in the box with two gone and takes a look at a called strike. Come on, Griffy. Let’s go, Junior. And that’s off the outside edge. And now it’s even one and one. The one-1 is fouled off. Gets a piece and stays alive. The other way and foul ball. That wasn’t an easy pitch to hit. It’s much easier to do damage against mistakes, but that’s not what that pitch was. Swing and a ground ball base hit right field. And that keeps the inning going. Now, here’s the Tampa Bay cleanup hitter, Josh Low. And that one fouled off. Let’s go. Two outs. That one not close. And the count is one and one. Comes up empty. That’s strike two. Good fast ball going early until they show they can make some good contact. You keep on throwing the pitch. Knocks that one away and we’ll do it again. Up and in. Two and two. Camo leads off first with two down to the inning. And a pop off right side foul territory and that will end the inning. The Rays strand just the one. They trail things here. Two nothing. Top of the second. And stepping in for the Mariners, Dominic Panzone Seymour in his rookie season, 26 years old and he was a second round pick in 2020. Seymour back to work and first offering is fouled off and a breaking ball drops in for a strike. Now one miss swings through that and it’s a strike out. That K is his third of the game. Here’s the veteran shortstop JP Crawford. He’s someone that really beats up on right-handed pitching. The lefties, however, give him a little bit more trouble. One out. Base is empty. That’s a bullet, but it goes foul. One down. Base is empty. Foul ball still 0 and two. [Music] That one hit to right. Low racing over to make the catch. Lefties can definitely be a little pole happy up there, especially with pitches that they see pretty well. That was a good example. He hooked an outside pitch, hit that ball in the air to right, just not with much authority. Cole Young stands in with two away as he takes a ball. And now a little barking back towards the umpire. Clearly thought he got that outside corner on what was a pretty big pitch. Sometimes that only makes it worse for you moving forward, but it can also open up that location in the future if the umpire thinks there’s a chance that he missed it. And a big swing and a miss. Two outs. Base is empty. Fouled off. And they’ll do it again. All right, two down, nobody on. And that’s off the inside edge. It’s two and two. Swing and a ground ball up the middle. That’s a base hit. So now back to the top of the order. Now batting leftielder back to the top of the lineup. Now it’s Randy Rosarena. He’s 0 for one. First pitch just misses. Step off. Throw to first. Young back in on a dive. Next offering is in for a strike. One ball, one strike. That’s down and in. Tampa swinging a foul back. That’s out of play. I wouldn’t throw him another breaking ball. Try to go again with a fast ball. Slightly elevated. He just having a hard time catching up. Here’s the pitch. Run around the goal. There’s the ball. Throw. Save. Yeah, I like being aggressive right there with two outs. It’s kind of a classic steel situation. You get thrown out. No big deal. That guy at the plate leads off the next inning. Now a single to the outfield can push a run across. Runner at second. Two down here in the top of the second. Battling here as he fouls it away. Man at second. So now two on and two outs. Up next for Seattle, catcher Cal Raleigh. And here is Cal Raleigh. Singled and scored his first time. And that one sliced foul. Two on, two outs. Hard grounder into the outfield for a knock. Headed for the plate. He’ll score. Runner holds it third. So just one across on the play. Puts a run on the board and picks up an RBI. He wasn’t able to elevate it, but he put a great swing on it. Right on time, good balanced approach and just blasted it through the infield. And the Rays manager making his way towards the mound now as he will make the move. Ian Seymour gives way. Not what they were hoping for from the opener. So, we’ll see a new arm on the mound when we get back. Shane Bos on a pitch out of the pen here. Just trying to keep this one close here. And this is where a bullpen can give their players a chance to fight back into the game. Here’s the center fielder, Julio Rodriguez. It was a triple and an RBI at his first at bat. And that misses one and0, two outs. Tough spot right here. Couple runners on. Two ball count. You can’t nibble, but you have to execute and finish your pitch. If you leave something out over the plate, it’s going to bring in some runs. Swings and misses. And that’s strike one. As a hitter, you got to learn something from that pitch. He clearly wasn’t timed up on the fast ball. In a two- count, you have to be ready to do damage. Low hustling after it. Couldn’t get to it before it dropped foul. [Music] swing and that ball smashed on a line and that is that. So, one run in the inning on this base hit. It’s now three nothing. Back here at Chopana Field, ready to go for the last half of the inning. Now up for Tampa Bay. Bobby Seymour. Seymour. Right down to shoot. Strike one. A three-0 lead is great, but you can’t get too comfortable. Got to stay aggressive. Keep attacking hitters. try to cruise through this ball game. Hit on the ground to short. Crawford. That’s one out in the bottom of the second. Batting six center fielder Everson. So next to the plate for Tampa Bay, Everson Pereira. And that’s in there at the knees. Out to short. Dives, but it kicks off his glove. No throw and he’s out at first. That is one gone. Runner at first. Next to hit, Hunter Fucha. [Applause] ball one. No strikes. in the air. Right field. Kenzone sizes this one up. Snags it for the second out. Batting eight. Second baseman Christopher Morel. Christopher Morell next to hit for the Rays. Came into the game on defense. So his first trip to the plate here. That’s a hit and out to a board. Well, a swing like that can help you come out of the struggle. We saw the numbers coming into the ball game, but all he’s trying to do at this point is help his team win. And now Carson Williams. And that one fouled off. Pereira at third. Morell at first. Two out of the inning. Turned on but foul wide of third. This to third. Suarez. They get the force and the inning is over. No runs on two hits, no errors, and two men left stranded. We play two full. It’s the Mariners three. The Rays nothing. And welcome back to the ballpark. On to the third inning. Here’s Josh Naylor. and immediately pumps in a strike to the left-handed hitter. Bullpen movement for the Rays. Garrick Clevenger warming up for manager Kevin Cash. Pepio also getting ready. Let’s go Rays. Fast ball for a strike and that just misses. Good spot there, but didn’t get the strike at the knees and doesn’t seem too convinced by the call out there on the mound as he tries to get a better sense of the umpire strike zone. And that skips in the dirt. All right, let’s do it up the middle. Williams tosses to first and one away in the top of the third. Now batting third baseman Auo Suarez. Auheno Suarez up to the plate. Now he doubled home a run in his first AB. With this kind of lead, he can swing freely, try to hit the ball out of the park, do what he loves to do. Swang in a highf fly ball hit the air left center field. This one’s got a chance. That’s not coming back. He circles the bases and they boost their lead. It’s 4 nothing. That one just sounded different. And it might have been the loudest moment yet. Man, my ears are ringing. I could feel that swing from the booth. That home run was a no doubter as we dive into the numbers with Statcast. Crushed Boo. Just absolutely crushed. 112 miles per hour on the exit VO and like you said, no doubt about that one. Plenty of launch angle to give it that backspin as well. and that carried way over the wall. So, one out, nobody on. Now it’s the Mariners DH. Jorge Palano. There’s the strike of the knees. That pitch gets the corner. No balls, two strikes. Quickly into an 02 count. Both pitches were down in the zone. I think you set your sights a little bit higher because you’ll have a tendency to chase if you look down in that area. One ball, two strikes. Swings through for the K. Gasted right by him. Two down, base is empty. And now for Seattle. Dominic Kzone went down on strikes. his first time through. Sliced hard but fouled down the left side swinging and a ball popped up. Morel that away and he makes the catch and that is that one scores in the inning coming on this solo home run. It’s now a four nothing ball game. Major League Baseball is on the show as we go to the last of the third. And now it’s going to be number 14 out to short. Crawford whips it to first on the run and he gets him. Nicely done. Well, he’s doing a nice job of keeping the ball out of the air. Lets the defense work behind him with another ground ball. Good execution. And now it’s Brandon Laauo. He’s 0 for one. That one’s in there. It’s 0 and one. And there’s a ball. Two strike towards first. He’ll do it himself. And a couple of quick outs. Now batting third baseman, Junior Camro. Now at the plate, Junior Camero, one for one with a single so far. He’s an intimidating presence in the batters box. I mean, even when he’s swinging and missing, I still don’t know how confident pitchers are that, hey, when he walks to the plate, this guy’s an out. Swing. And this one’s blasted. It’s got a chance and that’s going to bang against the wall and that’s a two out double. Well, this one started with a bad jump, a bad read off of the bat. He ends up having to try to leap out of desperation. Can’t come down with it and it turned into extra bases. So runner at second, two down. Josh Low next to hit for the Rays. Popped out and foul ground. First time through. Swing and a foul out of play. Camero on it second with two down. lays out, but he can’t squeeze it. The throw comes in too late and the defense comes away with nothing. Now batting first. So two outs with runners on the corners and stepping in for the Rays, Bobby Seymour. And that’s in for a strike. fought off foul. Two aboard, two outs. Struck him out swinging. Couldn’t hit the fast ball at the knees. So they strand a pair. Three innings complete. It’s the Mariners four. The Rays nothing. And we’re back. John Champi with Chris Singleton. And set to lead off the fourth, JP Crawford. Here we go. Here we go. pitch misses and that’s ball one. The shorts stop takes a ball. There’s the strike to the right side. Morell on to first. Lead off hitter retired in the fourth. Now batting number two. Now here is Cole Young. A single and a run scored and a walk. That’s inside. Almost got him. No strike. [Music] base is empty, one away. Top half of inning number four. And that one is lifted in the air. Pereira long run into the gap. Nice grab on the run. Two down. Every day during batting practice, these outfielders get about 10 minutes of balls in the gaps. They practice this and when the game comes, they make the play perfectly. Now the left fielder, Randy Rosarena. That one at the knees for a strike. late on that fast ball. It might be time to choke up a little bit. Get that front foot down early. Maybe even just spread out. He’s really late right now. Next offering misses and it’s one and two. I don’t think he was trying to miss by that much in an 02 count. Just tried to overthrow that pitch. swing and a highf fly ball out towards right field. Low makes the play and that is that back now in Tampa Bay. And now Everson Pereira. Pereira and a foul ball. Well, these Rays as this game goes on have to be more disciplined at the plate. So many of their outs have come from weak contact on pitches they’re chasing outside of the strike zone. You can’t do much of anything with those locations. And that’s been true again today. [Music] Cuts and misses. It’s a strikeout. He came out of his mechanics there. Typically likes to shoot the ball the other way, but that time little anxious. Hunter Feducha now at the plate. Flyed to right his first time. And as a pitcher, when the hitters are swinging at everything, you feel no need to challenge inside the zone. You just keep working the corners and expanding that strike zone and beyond. and they just keep eating right out of your hand. One down, base is empty. And that one lifted in the air center field. Rodriguez has a beat on it. Brings it in. That’s out number two. Now batting. Christopher Morurell will hit next. Morell that clips the zone and it’s 0 and one. If I’m at the dish right now, I am aggressive over the heart of the plate. This guy’s been filling up the strike zone. So, you know you’re going to get a good pitch to hit and as nasty as his stuff is, you might as well take all three swings. Two down, nobody on. We’re here in the bottom of the fourth and now one and two. His understanding of the strike zone very impressive. That was a very close O2 fastball. I just don’t know how you take that. And that one in the air center field. Rodriguez makes the grab and that’s the third out. Garrick Clevenger gets the ball now. He’s doing the ball very well overall this season. He’s been really tough to get to. You see that erra and that’s where you love to be. Here’s the catcher to hit Cal Raleigh. He’s one of the best players in the game. He is at the top of the game in terms of defense at the catching spot. And that’s outside and that is ball one. It’s so impressive because these guys have to do so much study and preparation for their pitchers, for opposing hitters and really their number one job is to guide that staff through a ball game. And so when you also can turn it up offensively and be a force there, that is a win-win. Every manager’s dream into the outfield base hit and a good start to the inning. Couldn’t have timed it up any better than that. I know that was a ground ball, but it was absolutely hammered through the infield. That’s not one you’re excited to get in front of if you’re an infielder. You know, they used to say charge it crazy. Julio Rodriguez up next for the Mariners. Rodriguez having a lot more success on the road this season. Clevenger, a guy that features an absolute power slider, throws that pitch a lot. He throws it hard and gets a ton of swings and misses. Next offering is in for a strike. And I think being able to expand with that pitch as you start to offer at it that he can move it just a little bit further away. Before you know it, you’re trying to hit a pitch that’s off the plate. That one misses now. One and two. gets a piece there. We’ll do it again. Foul ball. Still a one and two count. Nobody out. Runner at first. fouls it off. Still one and two. That one ran inside. Almost got him. Fouled off the plate. They’ll do it again. Still two and two after the foul ball. Stays alive. Hey, you got this. This one in the air. [Applause] Morell calls it in and there’s one away. Oh, that’s a frustrating into the at bat for the hitter right there. I mean, that pitch was right down the middle. I think he got a little too excited. Came out of his mechanics and instead of driving that ball somewhere, he popped it up. Unfortunate for him. Now, let’s go. Naylor in the box with one away as he takes ball one [Music] swinging a foul straight back [Music] swings through that. So hard to touch being at the top of the zone. 99, 98, even 97 as pitchers do such a good job of teasing that part of the zone, just elevating a little bit. It looks good because you see it for a good while as a hitter. Looks juicy and by the time you swing, it’s almost in the catcher’s mid. Auo Suarez up next for the Mariners. He’s already homerred here in this one. First pitch doesn’t find the zone. Clevenger 30 years old now and he’s one of the few players in Major League Baseball born in Kansas. That’s in ball two. Raleigh the runner at first with two gone. That’s out. That’s through there for a strike. Swing and a miss as he was out front that time. Fouls it back with two strikes. Tampa Bay. Two outs and a foul ball. He stays alive. Foul. We’ll see another payoff pitch. Keeps the atbat going with a foul ball. And ball four, two aboard. A great back and forth in that at bat. He had to lay off some really close pitches and somehow Boogie found a way to keep the bat on his shoulder right there. I’ll tell you right now, I couldn’t have done it. First and second, two outs. In now is the Mariners DH Jorge Palano who’s 0 for two with a pair of strikeouts. That one outside and that’s ball one. Let’s go. Nope. Struggled a little bit in this one. couple of strikeouts earlier, but doing a much better job in this at bat to get ahead and find a good hitter count at two and 0. In there at the knees, strike one. Probably the best one we have seen. Throwing it where he wanted to have a nice tight spin to it and a teaser just off the edge of the plate. Two on, two outs, and a swing and a miss. And that’s that. Mariners leave a couple, but they’re in front. Four nothing. Back here at Tropicana Field, we head to the bottom of the fifth and here is Carson Williams. Miller back to work. Check swing called strike. Action in the pen down there. Taylor Sedo the left-hander up and throwing. Woo the rightander also getting loose. And now a one swing and a miss. And that’s strike two. Man, that’s just a nasty splitter. Bottom falls out of it. You don’t see a lot of guys throw that these days, but I tell you what, he’s got a good one. Goes down looking. Here’s the left fielder. Two in this one. If there’s nobody on in front of him, you know, a single for him many times is a double. This guy is off to the races, ready to steal a bag when he’s on first base. In the zone for a strike. That was the sweeper. And no one can get there. Well, I’m not saying that play was easy, but it was harder than it needed to be thanks to the bad jump. Those small moments can be costly. Brandon man at first with one gone. Now the number two hitter, Brandon Laauo. Now, these guys definitely looking for a big swing of the bat right here. Try to close that gap. But, you know, at the very least, if you could find a way to manufacture that run from first, it feels like it’s really important to getting back into this ball game. Now this one’s crushed down the line. Hooking. Foul ball. Man at first. One away. Knee high. That’s in for a strike. And that’s a little bit high. Now one and two. swings through it and that’s a strike out. So up next, Junior Camro drove it off the wall last time. Just missed out on a home run. Pickoff throw and he’s back in safely. out in front with the swing and that is strike one. Now, if he’s going to steal second, you want him to go early in the count. That way, he’s not a distraction to the hitter at the plate. Go ahead and get it out of the way so the hitter can focus on the pitch. Got him looking now. Five strikeouts for him on the mound. One left for Tampa. They’re down four nothing. We’re back and they make a change to start the six. The new pitcher, Ryan Pepio. They know that he can get a right-hander out, but he’s in position to face a couple of lefties this inning. And stepping in for the Mariners, Dominic Canzone. Dominic. First pitch misses. Well, these Mariners digging into their numbers have to be happy with the swings they’re taking. We’ve heard lots of loud noise coming from their bats in this one, haven’t we? I mean, they’ve launched six hits at 90 plus exit velocity, and that doesn’t happen by accident. in for a strike at a count one and two. Fights it off. He’ll see another the one two. [Music] Breaking ball misses down and away. And it’s fouled off. They’ll do it again. Popped up. Camo puts it away for the out. And there’s one away. Now batting short stop JP Crawford. JP Crawford up next for the Mariners. Just missed. Tampa Bay’s bullpen with some action. Mason Angler preparing to come on if needed. Number 67 getting cranked up as well. And that one hit to first. and he handles it himself for the out. Now batting number two. Two outs. Base is empty. Cole Young up next for the Mariners. One for two. That one well upstairs. Ball one and it’s fouled away. Two down. Nobody on. Swing and a ball lifted in the air. Pereira hauls it in to end the inning. No runs, no hits, no errors. To the bottom of the six we go. 456 coming up. It’s the Mariners four. the Rays nothing. Back now for the bottom of the sixth and there’s a new pitcher on the mound. Taylor Sedo and they felt it was time to bring on a left-handed reliever from the pin with the lefty hitter coming up. I think it’s a good move. I know. I never liked when opposing teams did that to me. Low lays off down low as he digs in for the third time. activity in the bullpen. Matt Brash appears to be getting loose. Ground ball to the right side. Can’t glove it cleanly. Flip to the pitcher is in time. And they do get the out. This is what it’s all about on that right side of the diamond when you’ve got the first baseman involved in the pitcher as well. First baseman does a great job. Knocks the ball down. gets away from a little bit, doesn’t panic. The pitcher’s exactly where he’s supposed to be. Nice feed and a nice play for the out. [Applause] So, digging in, Bobby Seymour struck out on just three pitches last time. And that one’s a little bit low. And it’s one and0. One down, base is empty. What a stop. Gathers and throws and very nicely done for the out. Hey man, four pitches, two outs. That is an excellent pace. Pereira. So it’s their last chance in this one. Everson Pereira next to hit for the Rays. Three pitch strikeout last time up. Got to put up more of a fight in this one. There’s the strike. Definitely not a pitch location you’re expecting up there as a hitter when you know the guy’s got a good sinker ball. If he can get in that location, boy, you’ve got to look. He swings and hits a fly ball center field and it falls. Joey gets on base and keeps it going. Boo. I don’t think that pitch would have been called a strike, but he did such a nice job of pulling his hands tight to the body and just getting enough of the barrel on it to be hard enough back up the middle for a knock. Hunter Feducha next to hit for the Rays. They tried to get him to chase on a slider down and away. just missed. Oh, he’s really working him away this at bat. Sometimes take a little bit off velocity. Try to get a roll over something on the ground. Stay away from that big hole on the right side of the infield. Next offering is in for a strike. Pereira off of first with two away. They’re down to their final strike. Going to really need to hang in there with that front side against this left-handed breaking ball. The Rays down to their final strike to third. And that’s just foul. That one missed. Great RBI spot here. Just got to stay focused on the pitch. The runner will be in motion, so something in the gap should definitely score it. So now two on and two outs. Well, this could be the start of something. They haven’t found a way to score yet, but now is their chance to change that. And here comes the Mariners manager to the mound. Pitching change coming. Taylor Saledo won’t go any further tonight. And the line not closed on him yet as he’s responsible for the runners on base. Back with a new pitcher after this. So they turn to their closer Andres Munoz. Save opportunity for him right here. And he’s their guy. Time to lock this one down and get out of here with a W. So up next, Christopher Morell. [Music] [Applause] Yeah, that’s fouled off. First and second, two down. And a swing and a miss there. Two pretty nasty sliders to get this hitter into an 02 count. If you’re up there at the plate, you got to look up in the zone and spit on anything that’s down to the right side. Fair ball. Perrera around third. One run is in. Coming home. The tag and that’s the ball game. Playing meaningful games in September is always exciting. A win today, first day of the month. This will just add more fuel to the fire. 4-1 the final here today. For Chris Singleton and our entire outstanding crew here at MLB the show, I’m John Shami. We’ll see you soon.
