Trevor Story Reacts to Hitting One of the Weirdest Home Runs We’ve Ever Seen

All right, thank you very much. Well, Trevor, home run number 23. Uh, pesky pole special. How exciting was it to crush that one? Yeah, it felt good. It’s always good to uh sneak one out, you know, little Finway homer off the pesky pole. I think that was my first one. So, uh I know AC’s always talking about pesky and we we take aim at it a lot and rarely do we hit it. So, it was fun to do that. Can you guess how many ballparks that was a homer in? This one. That’s it. Just this one. Nice to have some home cooking there. But you stood on second for a long time. At what point did you give it consideration that it could be a home run? I couldn’t really tell until like the last couple frames that they showed up there and uh you saw it hit his glove and then hit the foul pole and then obviously that’s what triggered it for me to to think it’s a homer. So for the longest time I didn’t know what it was. Obviously a great result. You guys also had to really grind through this one or your guy had to grind through this one, but you also put pressure on their starter against Messi in that third inning. You came up with the big shot there. How important was it to make him work as well and continue to try to get to this bullpin as fast as possible? Yeah, like you said, Beo uh you know was grinding and uh just a sign of a true competitor, man. man. He hung in there through five innings um after his pitch count was pretty high through two or three. And uh that’s the mark of a great pitcher, man. And uh he’s been up nails for us, you know, it feels like all year. And um offensively, like you said, we’re just trying to get traffic out there and cash in when we can. And um you know, realize sometimes shooting it to right is is pretty good. Well, one step closer to that goal of trying to get the division. Toronto lost today. Now two and a half games back. Nice. One day at a time. All right, Trevor. Thanks so much. Spacew.
