How toxic is the Jets fan base? Thinking of going to this game solo but all I hear is bad stuff regarding the jets fan base. 😭

  1. No issues with jets. They mostly hate themselves. GF is a huge Fins fans. Went to a game and had good time even her wearing fins gear. Talked to some people everyone was cool. It’s those Philly and Baltimore fans you gotta watch out.

  2. I don’t think the Jets fan base is any more toxic than the average New Yorker…but that’s still extremely toxic.

  3. From the game in Pittsburgh last year they like to run their mouths but were mostly good natured. Just loud and obnoxious. Just be ready to take some ribbing and don’t escalate and I think you’ll be fine.
(Oddly very quiet after the game.)

  4. I think Oakland fans were the really psychotic ones. Didn’t they throw some guy off the outside of the stadium and he died?

Thankfully we don’t have to worry about Oakland anymore lol.

  5. Every fan base has their small group of psychos. Usually just leave people alone and they leave you alone.

  6. I’m a NY Steelers fan going to that game and honestly, you’ll be fine. Like any major city, there will be a lot of assholes, although the Northeast does tend to get a worse (probably deserved) reputation.

I went to Steelers at Jets the last time it was at MetLife and didn’t see anything bad outside of some general trash talk. It might help that I’m with Jet fan friends and also from the city but I wouldn’t worry too much. I waved my towel but didn’t overdo it or trash talk anyone I didn’t know.

  7. Honestly think 1pm game is helpful, yes people can get blasted starting at 7am but I’ve encountered more aggressive fans during primetime games. I went in to M&T expecting to potentially be assaulted and at this 1pm game I was met with very friendly and respectful ravens fans. You should be fine
