Tyler Locklear JOINS Diamondbacks, Slated to Start at First Base

First baseman Tyler Lleair was the key piece in the Arizona Diamondbacks trade with the Seattle Mariners for third baseman Ahueno Suarez. Lleier will wear Suarez’s number 28 as a member of the Diamondbacks and he will start for the Dbacks on Friday night at first base against the Athletics. So who is Tyler Lleair? Well quite frankly he is one of the hottest hitting prospects in all of baseball. Lleier has had a great season for AAA Tacoma, slashing 316 401 with a 542 slug percentage for a 943 OPS on the year. But in the month of July, he was otherworldly for the Tacoma Rainers. In fact, he slashed 422 490 with an 807 slugging percentage. He had 26 runs scored, nine home runs, 34 RBI, and six stolen bases. While he does have some weaknesses with swinging too much and striking out, it would appear everything else is trending in a very good direction. And Lleier could very well be the Diamondback’s first baseman of the future.

  1. locklear looks like ass in his first appearance. Looks like a poor man’s Christian Walker which was already a poor man’s first baseman
