Got this jersey for my birthday from my dad! Signed by Stanky!!! It’s certified authentic by Beckett and the serial number checks out. I’m just worried since this isn’t an official jersey obviously. Regardless, I do love Stanky so I’m happy to have a free jersey. If it is real, I think it’s even cooler that he was signing with his old number.

  1. Yeah, I have a signed picture from him that I got as a gift and the signature is the exact same. Mine also was certified authentic.

    Note to add: on my picture, he signed his Canes number though

  2. I mean it’s a legit signature and it is sewn on numbers. Theoretically you could seam rip the numbers and nameplate and have them applied to an actual blank, but for this you might just be better off framing it for the rear numbers on display.

  3. It’s a “display” jersey. Signature companies like Beckett will buy these for a few bucks and slap some signed numbers on them. They don’t have to pay any licensing for the jerseys and it’s intended to be framed, so no logos.

    I don’t doubt at all that the sig is legit, but the jersey is just some generic uncreated thing.

  6. Yeah, signature looks good. Some autograph companies do this instead of making fake knockoff jerseys because there’s nothing illegal about selling these
