New Orleans Pelicans Sign Garrison Brooks To A Deal
Yo, what’s going on, guys? Today we’ll be talking about Garrison Brooks signing a deal with the New Orleans Pelicans according to Chris Haynes. Shout out my boy Daryl Comr, one of my favorite agents out there. CSE is his agency, COR Sports Agency. Garrison Brooks, North Carolina alum, then played at Mississippi State. He had a stint with the Winchester Knicks a few years ago where in the G-League he averaged in what 37 minutes a night, 31 minutes a night in 36 games, 11 and a half rebounds with 13 and a half points and about a block and a steal a game. Two and a half assists. and he spent the last two years in Lithuania with the Wolves Twins betas, tell me if I said that correctly, playing for them. And between 52 appearances, 20 minutes a night, he’s a guy who shot 60% from the field. This past year, he shot 41% from three, averaging five rebounds and just over seven and a half points a game with about a little over half steal and blocker in a night and 10 points a game or my apology a 10 efficiency rating. Now, this is someone that per 36, you see those numbers and he’s a guy who’s a double double machine. someone who spent a few seasons overseas and has come back at 26 years old going to a team in the Pelicans that they’re gonna have an opportunity for him eventually if he does get a two-way or if he spends he seemingly is probably signing an exhibit 10 to be a training camp body they’ll spend after 60 days on their G-League affiliate become eligible for a max bonus of $83,300. Now, this is a guy that if you look I love Carl Matakovic and I think if you they have Jane Springer, Jaylen McDaniels, who I think are going to be on the roster, Jonathan Murray’s coming back from the Achilles injury while Trey Trey Alexander, Bryce McGallen, and Hard Dickinson make up their two-ways. And they do technically have two roster spots open if they wanted. And I could see that if Garrison Brooks impresses them, he could beat out Hunter Dickinson for that two-way splot. And Kamal Looney, Carl Lakovich, Jerk Queen, he’s Messi, Garrison Brooks. It’s like a a little solid squad in terms of their rotation. Young guys, and this is just someone that is Yeah, he’s a little bit older, but he could really turn into somebody who could be an undersized rebounding big. I know he’s like 69, 610 at best. and already 26 years old. But I do believe that he’s someone that just a lowrisk decent reward being this solid, sturdy build who knows what he needs to do. So let me just hear your thoughts.
The New Orleans Pelicans are bringing in forward Garrison Brooks on a new deal, per Chris Haynes. Brooks played last season in the EuroLeague, averaging 7.0 points per game while shooting an impressive 40.7% from three in 20 minutes per game. His ability to stretch the floor and provide energy in the frontcourt could make him a valuable depth piece for New Orleans.
Stay tuned for how Brooks fits into the Pelicans’ rotation as they continue to add versatile role players around Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram.
