[Caswell] Padres just entered the weakest strength of schedule for any team in MLB. They’ve now lost back-to-back series to 2 of the worst teams in the AL, only the White Sox have more losses. The offense & the starting pitching remains a concern. Orioles go for the sweep tomorrow.

  1. Thank you for posting this. That being said, obviously a month of the season left. I have absolutely no idea what will and can happen with this team. Best we can do as fans is hope and avoid the sweep tomorrow. Also, totally understandable if you need to take a break from the team. It’s been a long season full of some crazy ups and downs, baseball like this can wear you out if you’ve already got stuff going on in your life.

  2. Well, at least football season is starting and will take my mind away from this dumpster fire.

  3. It’s becoming an offensive concern across the lineup. Proof in the fact the guys who came at trade are hitting yet the guys who have been here can’t slug. Systemic

  4. I would like to know the stats from the padres offense on pitches down the middle. It seems like we take, whiff, or are late on pitches right down the middle. It seems like we can’t make teams pay for their mistakes

  5. It just seems like these bottom tier teams have more to play for than the Padres. We’re like void of competitiveness. I appreciate the photo is of Tatis – he has so much more to offer than what he’s currently giving. When we’re relying on an Arraez home run for our only offense we are not going to win anything. I almost want to check if anyone in our bullpen can hit because at this point we are taking a lot of easy outs at the plate.

  6. It is what it is. Fuck it. Not ideal, but it happened. They gotta break out of this funk and do it the hard way. Look forward, not back.

  7. Yeah opponent ability never seems to matter much to Padres.

It’s looking a little bleak. But only 23 games left in season. Hopefully they get hot last few weeks or even 7-10 days of season going into the playoffs.

Padres always seem to need some momentum to start winning. Hopefully we see it soon.

  8. Fucking pathetic. Its as if they get frustrated with their previous display of deplorable baseball and think “how can we go lower?”

They should be trouncing this orioles team. Instead they boggle the mind of every level-headed loyal fan. Its maddening

  9. Our two main guys (Manny & tatis) are what’s killing us, they are looking apathetic as they usually do this time of year. But a lot of it falls on the manager. I can’t for the life of me understand why he hasn’t made adjustments to the lineup & has tatis still hitting leadoff. Or why day after day he insists on putting peralta out there… only thing I can think of to rationalize it is pure ego & stubbornness. Why is McCoy starting at SS and O’hearn still not starting?? Move Jake to SS Arraez to 2B and O’hearn at 1st. It’s not rocket science…

  10. We’re done, we’re choking and everybody gets hurt. Another year when San Diego isn’t ready for prime time. This division is totally winnable and we are not stepping up. One guy on whole team
Is having decent year, Machado. The rest suck. We should have traded fucking Cease and Arrez at deadline, both are worthless. How many times is Arrez going to ground out to second or hit into DP. I’m done. 53 years is enough to wait. Oh, and fuck the dojers.
