Of course same with the dodgers everyone hating on those championships

  1. I just wish the Lakers were able to follow it up and prove to everyone it wasn’t a fluke (not that it is) like the dodgers finally did in 2024. But whatever, the past is the past, hopefully Luka can win multiple titles

  2. If anything the 21 bucks is the Mickey Mouse title cause everyone played that season under different circumstances

  3. ITS a combination of Lakers, Lebron, the drama involving AD’s trade and how much the media putting all their egg into the clippers. Everybody got their break and Lakers lose their home court advantage. I think I remember they praise the lockdown at first and things started to change when they see clipper falling apart and Lakers being the strongest contender

  4. I think it’s so hard to compare this with the dodgers. This lakers team still played (essentially a full season, never blew a lead in the fourth quarter, and was indeed the best team all season. Bubble proved it.

The dodgers however played a shortened 60 game season, which is nothing in baseball terms.

I think the Lakers and Lightening’s bubble chips should be unquestioned in their validity.

  5. Everyone went through the same challenges to compete. I used to tell every hater this back when they won it. Why couldn’t their team win? Simple, because they weren’t good enough at the time. Idk how people are so dumb.

  6. You know what was fucking sweet after putting up with lockdowns and COVID. All that stress and uncertainty?

    Winning a fucking championship.

  7. I don’t like the dodgers comp because they played a dramatically shortened season whereas the nba season wasn’t cut nearly as much. I don’t like the comp to the 99 spurs for the same reason. Both cheapen the lakers 2020 title, which is legit

  8. People who disrespect that title didn’t watch. The teams (and all of us) had nothing else to do during quarantine, so they just balled the fuck out. It was great basketball, it was as good a title as any previous or since.

  9. This is just not true. Every single title gets “disrespected” in some way.

    2015 – injuries
    2016 – suspension/refs/injuries
    2017 – super team
    2018 – super team
    2019 – injuries
    2020 – Covid
    2021 – refs
2022 – huh actually don’t know one; exception maybe
    2023 – road too easy
    2024 – road too easy
    2025 – injuries

Obviously Covid was way more dramatic and unexpected, so it gets more focus, but it definitely happens to non-Laker, non-LeBron teams. I mean, Jokic is beloved and ppl said that “road too easy” stuff a lot.

  10. Everyone knows this is the case but they won’t admit cuz they just want to hate on bron.

  11. Truly no home court advantage for any team. How can anyone say that championship wasn’t won under the purist of circumstances compared to any other year is beyond me.

  12. You listen to most of the players podcasts and they all say the same thing. That the bubble was way harder to play and win in. Yes, I’m a Laker fan and I’d probably BS anyone else who would have won but if all the players are tell me something I’m gonna at least believe they know what they’re talking about.

  13. Also, besides Giannis getting hurt, no team won by fluke injury. Seen a lot of that since 2020.

  14. Anyone who won the 2020 ring would have detractors.

Case in point: 1999 spurs had detractors. Some of yall prolly just too young to remember.

  15. Its not only a real title, it was one of the most difficult titles to win. Everybody was out of their routine, no home court advantage, no crowds, life threatening disease in the air. It was just pure basketball. Mano e Mano.
