Punches thrown as Rockies and Giants BRAWL following Rafael Devers home run

They’ll be above 500. They’re five games out of the final wild card spot. Divers skies one to right way up there and gone. Another one for Rafie Des. And Kyle Freeland, the benches are clearing. Divers is trying to round the bases. Freeland was unhappy. And now we got punches being thrown. Oh my goodness. I mean, Denver still hasn’t rounded the bases. Oh, he’s in the mix. He left the base paths. This is now pushing out towards second base. Oh man, even Logan Webb is out there. Freeland did not like De’s admiring that one. Logan Webb’s running his mouth now. Got more action. Yeah, Adamus and Freeland are really going at it. Well, we talk about that he gives up homers and he did. He sat there. He watched it. There’s no question that that happened. And Adamus, we we the camera is not picked up on Willie, but he is he is hot shouting over at Freeland. They’re going to have to sort this one out. I mean, again, Freeland [Applause] It doesn’t take an expert lip reader to see what he was saying. And Chapman came quick with a shove, too. Hey, and that that’s what you want. You know what? I get the frustration. He hasn’t had the greatest year. He’s a little ticked off about the year, the way it’s going, telling him to run, but that’s what teammates do. That’s what he’s telling him. Don’t hang it. And Chappie comes on in, tells him to get out. See a lot of shoving. No swinging, just shoving. Webby’s out there. The boys are pulling for each other. If you ever have a question what’s going on right now with the Giants, you can see they’re they’re they’re pulling for each other.

The Rockies and Giants might’ve shown the most fight they’ve had all season in the first inning of Tuesday’s game in Denver.

After San Francisco star Rafael Devers hit a towering home run at Coors Field, the benches cleared with plenty of shoves being thrown on the field in a wild scene.

Devers watched his homer and began trotting around the bases, and it seemed as if Rockies starter Kyle Freeland took exception, jawing at the slugger as he got past first base. Devers fired back as first base umpire Dan Bellino tried to hold him back.

As tensions rose, both dugouts emptied onto the field, with Giants stars Matt Chapman and Willy Adames both throwing shoves at Freeland despite umpires trying to prevent things from escalating.

  1. Pretty childish of Chapman to come in and shove the dude, they were jawing, Devers was kind of douchey admiring it that long but no reason for Chapman to shove the dude, kind of a blindside coward move really. Of course the pitcher should of just beaned the next guy instead, jawjacking is pointless. Better to make your point with a fastball. Assuming he could actually hit someone on purpose, his command didn’t look great.

  2. Look for intentional throwing at each other’s players for retaliation purposes possibly as now there’s no love lost between the Rockies and Giants.

  3. Mr. 3-14 upset because someone took him deep AGAIN. Please…And to eject 3 players for that when not even one punch was thrown? Please. And notice Col didn’t even try to hit Devers after that. That team has no heart.

  4. Serves an absolute meatball right over the middle of the plate and then gets butthurt when it gets absolutely clobbered??? Please 😂🤦🏻‍♂️. When he’s actually relevant maybe he can whine about it. Rockies haven’t been relevant since 2007…
