New York Mets vs Detroit Tigers – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | September 3, 2025 MLB Season
Well, he’s at zero. That’s That’s right. And neither has the reserve catcher Sanger as well. First pitch popped up by Lindor and foul. He is one of the very rare guys who do today. In the air straight away, Jav Bayz, former Met makes the catch. They’re one of the first teams I’ve seen really do it a lot. But you see it right here. There he goes. And Mai was wise to it. Casey for torque. One more throw. There’s the tag. He is out. Layer upon layer. There it’s now on two and two. One more pitch to make. It’s a ground ball. Second base. Torres flips it. McKinstry catches. Inning over. Thank but he got it just off the end of the bat. Waving a miss. There is the change up from the Mets right now. Their offense, despite scoring just one in the finale against the Marlins, has been torid as here’s a fly ball to left on a rather windy afternoon. Riley Green makes the catch. 3-2. Got him. Strike three. He knew it. It’s a fast ball that ran over basically the Because now you got that hitter in a rhythm. He’s got to get the bat head out. Get it out. Get it out. Oh, and you get locked up on that kind of fast ball. Casey Mai with both of them can’t imagine doing what they’re doing without the other. This a high-fly ball. McNeel in center has some space. He makes the catch. Torque is tagging. He’s on his way to second and [Applause] Jake Rogers whistles it to right field. That’s a base hit. Here comes McKinstry. Tigers lead one to nothing. Has done wonders for Casey Mai as he gets a ground ball to short that flattens out for McKenzry. Sanger is out. There’s one away in the third. Three there. Three and two into right field. There’s the first hit of the series for Lindor and he’s going to want extra bases into second with a standup double in an advantage count where if you get him two strikes, he’s kind of got to swing your stuff. Sodto vaults this high in the air right hand side. Glaver Torres makes catch out of the zone. If you do miss Alonzo in the air very well struck and Pete Alonzo is going to coast into second base. It’s an RBI double and we are tied at one. Alonzo at second. two and two guided to second and Glabber Torres snares it to retire the Tiger. He was a Springville Tiger, an Auburn Tiger, and a Detroit Tiger as this first pitch to Glaver Torres is flicked out to center field. And there is one away to leave one over the plate. Is that how you were thinking when you were getting a buffet of change ups? Yeah, I’m like eventually with just a little bit of linear focus towards a pretty specific item. Fly ball left field. Riley Green on the move and casually into the net. Riley makes the catch. So does the net. Two down and our T-Mobile coverage cam. And that sinker, you can’t throw it in certain spots. Oh, that’s right at first base. And Pete Alonzo has a double play. Nothing Torque can do there. You know, there’s certain pitches you can throw. They’re only going to see you once. Yeah. McKinstry fly ball right field. Sodto back. Sodto is at the wall and that ball ends up and over on the hop. So, McKinstry has himself a two out double. Runs for Springer. his OPS up to 946 as that ball’s clocked to right field and a running grab by Perez. He puts it away and put him away. Strike three just like you drew it up. Two gone. Two and two popped up. It is a rather windy day here at Com Park. Zack McKinstry’s got it in a one two three fifth for green. Of course, he has not done that all year, but you have the two lefties coming up as that is guided toward third. It’s a short hop and Ventos just does. Hard hit pass, short stop. Tigers take the lead. Riley Green hits a sizzler to the outfield. Left on left for a 3-1 advantage. Fly ball left center field. Bayz back on it. Jav is there to snap it up. Perfect outfield placement for Jav Bayz in left center. Saves the day of a possible tie game at that lane. Line to left. The Mets have their second run of the ball game. Mark Bentos an RBI single. Infield corners in Marte on the ground to third. Keith Torres double play. Needed it. It’s a ground ball to second base. Batty feeds it to second to get one. And they’re not going to get McKinstry. It’s four and six on the fielders choice. And here’s a message. One and two. Bayz breaks his bat and chops it to third. That’s Ventos across the diamond and the pick by Alonzo on that first replay. Rogers straight away center field and that is it. We’ll go to the seventh. Broken bat off the mound on the ground to McKinstry. And here’s a message from two and two. Torren’s highf fly ball. Bayz going back on it. Jav trotting and slowing into the catch. Smoothly done for Sodto in the box. Vest is ready on 0 and two. Lindor runs and no throw. They have the most one two on the ground to first and torque. Inning over. Will gets the job done. T and Carrie Carpenter turns on it high and deep right field. It’s gone. It is gone. A three-run homer. It set up perfectly and Carrie Carpenter dowsed it. Bat in Carrie Carpenters’s hands in that situation for sure. There is strike three and there’s one away. Very nice. One, two, swinging a miss. Strike three on a breaking ball down Sen New Jersey. 1-1 is a towering fly ball. The wind pushes it left and McNe right in there. Nestled right in with a pass ball. Didn’t get it. And now a chopper to second base. Everyone who believes in baseball karma is thrilled right now. There’s one away. And here’s Daniela. Oh, he really got inside on him there. It’s popped up and Rogers two down. And here’s a mess. 13 Tiger pitcher walks in the series so far. But that jam job gets vest out of the inning. We will play the bottom. Every single one of those could have been Andy and I think some of them were you. Yeah, that’s a problem. Been around each other a little too much. Ground ball to third and there is out walrus whiskers and all all beamed up says Andy Durst. This off a slider. It’s popped up into left center field and NMO is there to make the catch for out number. I got more followers than you. She made made me aware of that and Andy sent back like 36 emojis. None was a croissant Ibana as a fly ball to left in his low and advance adjustments. Dan had asked him about Monttero specifically as that is strike three. A slider whirls in to freeze Batty. if there’s a match between team and player. And so that’s where the person really comes in as that ball is looped toward short and a diving effort by McKinstry. Zback continuing us having to say well the good news is well there goes Lindor. He’s going to take second on defensive indifference. It’s strike one to Sodto and credit to Monttero here. He bounces right 2-1. Sodto hits it high in the air. punches his bat away in frustration. And the Tigers do take one at the end of the series on a Carrie Carpenter three-run home run. Five innings from Casey Mai. I
