Did Framber Valdez INTENTIONALLY Cross Up His Catcher? πŸ€” #shorts

It sure looked like Houston Astros ace Frober Valdez intentionally crossed up his catcher last night. Astros Yankees series opener of a big three-game set between two presumptive playoff teams. And it was already two nothing Yanks when Valdez found himself in a big old pickle in the fifth. Base is loaded, two outs. Trent Gisham at the plate. He’s already got a career-high 28 bombs on the season. Got to tread carefully. First pitch misses inside with a breaking ball. Okay, but look at this. As Valdez is getting ready to throw the 10, his catcher, Cesar Salazar, is like, “Step off. Step off.” But Valdez decides not to. And here’s what happens. Yeah. 96 mph sinker, middle. Gusham spanks that the other way over the wall in left field into the Crawford boxes for a grand slam. It’s now 6 nothing Yankees. This game has unraveled on Forber Valdez. And now check this out. Two pitches later, absolutely brutal crossup. Salazar took a 93 mph sinker right off his chest. He was clearly expecting a breaking ball. And now check out this reaction. He stares out at the mound. He’s like, “Dude, what the hell?” And meanwhile, Valdez, he could not care less. He turns his back. He’s totally unfazed. But this guy is clearly cheese with his pitcher. And I think he has reason to be. You do not see crossups like that or reactions like that very often in the big leagues.

Did the Houston Astros ace deliberately mess with his catcher after serving up a grand slam against the Yankees? You be the judge! #mlb #newyorkyankees #toxic

  1. He should grow up. Everyone coming into these leagues know the deal. Why would anyone pick him up based on his actions. This is childish behavior.
