Hey gang,
It's been a few years now since we've actively recruited for new moderators here on /r/DetroitRedWings. Over this time we've had quite a lot of growth and with some of the current team getting busier in their everyday lives, it's time to add to the crew once again with the season fast approaching.
While there are some nice-to-haves what we are looking for most is someone that's willing to be consistently active / proactive with moderating duties on the subreddit. This includes responding to mod mail, rule enforcement, keeping an eye out for spam, and keeping the sub clean in general and not necessarily just reacting to what gets reported in the mod queue. With that said if you have any interest in making the sub a better place please apply.
I also just want to say that each time we've done this over the years we get a lot of great applications and it can be tough for us to make our selections. The decisions are not easy and please don't be discouraged if you aren't selected!
We'll leave applications open for a week or so and we'll make our decisions shortly after.
Thank you, LGRW

If I promise to do nothing but ban Blackhawk and Avs fans what are the odds I get the spot
Requirements: must be a communist
Do mods actively read every single comment? Or just generally appear on each post?
Best of luck! I’d love to throw my hat into the ring, but I’m actually trying to spend LESS time on reddit these days. Always love stopping by this sub though.
Every year I think I want to do this, and then I think about all the mods put up with and I choose to just instead say thanks for being great and making this one of the most effectively moderated subs I’m a part of.
