Amusingly, despite the Blue Jays being technically ahead of us in the AL standings and controlling the 1 seed, their magic # is 21.
In 1982, with money I saved (as a kid), I bought a souvenir Louisville Slugger bat at Tigers’ Stadium when they were just smaller (still lathe-turned and fully finished) scale replicas of the originals. Mine had the autograph of Lance Parrish.
Six years ago, I had the pleasure of getting the real autograph next to the relief autograph, when he managed the Whitecaps. He put his number and his name.
KC lost so 12 now! Their win total is maxed at 93 which we need 12 to tie, so long as Cleveland doesn’t overtake them for second place. In which case it’s still 13 since we need 94 pending the tiebreaker
