‘Misguided’ to think Framber Valdez intentionally hit teammate, agent says

  1. Uh, we all saw the clip guy. The look after he threw that pitch wasn’t an “oh shit, my bad” look, not even close.

  2. Still waiting for any sign of remorse or contrition. He basically said “I threw the pitch I wanted to throw”

  3. Lots of damage control in effect on this one.

I understand keeping it “in house”; but, the footage seems to make it pretty obvious.

It’d be great if people just kept their word-holes shut instead of telling us all to not believe our own eyes.

  4. Well, yeah, misguided. Framber’s pitch was misguided right into Salazar’s chest! Framber’s mentality on the mound was misguided.

  5. Ah yes, let’s trust the guy who has a monetary stake in the conduct and performance of his client.

  6. He didn’t intentionally throw at a rookie, he’s just a shitty teammate that doesn’t care about his rookie teammate. That really doesn’t help the matter 😂

  7. Yainer better not piss off known loose cannon Jason Alexander tonight or he’s getting a 91 mph two seamer to the chest

  8. No, it’s really not. He’s shown signs of misdircted anger at his teammates and being unaccountable for his own mistakes before.

  9. His agent is just trying to cover his behavior for his free agent contract after this season. Appears selfish and like he’s a Prima Donna. That is a negative to give a 32 year old a big contract for multiple years.

  10. I genuinely had to read this like 5 times before I understood the implication. You don’t hit your catcher on purpose wtf.

Bro. I only played to a collegiate level, but if any of my my pitchers hit me in the chest like that, we’re fighting right then and there.

  11. Question: Others can hear the pitch com device that are on the field and wearing the device. What have they said was called?

Other infielder (at least I one) had to have heard the call! And I know at least one had a working device as well.

Has anyone heard anything about what others may have heard or not heard on pitch com other than from the catcher?

  12. Catcher should just tip his pitches to the other teams’ best sluggers from now on. Like in Bull Durham.

  13. Im an astros fan and after seeing that clip, he fucking did that shit on purpose. I’ve never in my life seen anything like that and honestly didn’t even think it could happen.

  14. What a strange word to use. If my client unequivocally didn’t do it, I’d say he unequivocally didn’t do it.

  15. If he’s such a good guy (he isn’t) why haven’t his teammates and the catcher said anything?

If this was truly a mistake they would have solved and squashed it right then. “Sorry man, I thought you wanted pitch A not pitch B. That Grand Slam rattled me. You ok?” Then catcher could say they got their calls mixed up and it would be a big nothing-burger.

Since that hasn’t happened, the team is not supporting him which I think is the bigger issue. Now they have a liability that isn’t trusted/supported in the clubhouse.

If the trAshtros weren’t on a playoff run, I would believe this pitcher would be on the IL for some nondescript soreness/rehab since he’s only on a 1 year contract and will be a Free Agent after this season.
