Crazy to think he could be here for 6 more years for cheap. He’ll near 32 before he gets to free agency. Arbitration is ridiculous. I guess that’s a huge upside to having older prospects. If they work you get their prime years for pennies. Gilbert will be great and I won’t be convinced otherwise.

For quite a few games he was sub .100, with Cub fans taunting that he would be fired, for going 0 for 3. But, from the start, I think Giants fans have rooted for him, with his great enthusiasm, and great efforts on defense. I am glad his hitting is beginning to pick up!
He stepped in greatly yesterday when Adams’s and chap we’re tossed. Taking the celebration duties from probably the best clubhouse vet in the league and running with it even the next game. Legendary. Keep it up kid!!
I’ve only known a few folks from MN but this tracks, especially for a top tier athlete from MN.
