I thought this guy was the source immediately. Sounded like a scorned ex – lover.

Here before the NBA collective media gaslights into thinking they're just finding out now and shook.

An NBA spokesperson told ESPN, "We are reviewing the court filings in this matter."

In his conversations, Shelton said the Clippers executive "discussed bringing Shelton into the Clippers' organization as a strength and conditioning coach, given the personal relationship and trust that Leonard had in Shelton."

After Leonard left San Diego State, Shelton said he was hired by Leonard to help him prepare for the NBA and that they maintained a relationship through 2017 as Leonard's stardom rose with the Spurs, where he won a title in 2014, earning Finals MVP honors.

Shelton alleges that the Clippers' recruiting efforts were in "disregard for the NBA's prohibitions on tampering." Article 35 of the NBA's constitution prohibits teams from "directly or indirectly" attempting to entice players under contract with one team to join a different team.

  1. I wonder if this is going to blow the lid off a whole bunch of shady dealings similar to this.

There’s no doubt in my mind that many teams engage in this, especially the big market ones with money to blow.

There’s already so many ways to skirt the cap: Chefs, meals, nutritionists, hotels, flights, company cars, equipment, training facilities, physiotherapists, etc.

I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that these luxuries are being offered to family and friends as forms of “payment” to recruit or further compensate players.

  2. They had Lawrence Frank flying out to Toronto to sit court side at Raptors games in 2019 like an IG thot

  3. Btw, pablo mentions his investigation starting months and months ago, so highly likely this was the starting point. A strategic news drop then at start of nba season and now with pablo investigation.

  4. This was the guy who said the Clippers subjected Kawhi to unsafe and illegal treatments for injuries and brought him back too soon from ACL surgery.

Clippers brought back Kawhi something like 15 months after surgery and this guy was saying they needed to keep Kawhi out TWO FULL YEARS.

  5. Damn, imagine doin all this shit and not even winning, trading away sga for pandemmy p, the L’s are forming an immense pile.

  6. if this legit this is going to get very ugly for the clippers very quickly. uncle Dennis has to be an idiot for making it obvious he was running a fraudulent company to help funnel money to help Kawhi get paid.

  7. I’m so used to referring to him as Kawhi that I was wondering who tf Leonard was reading through the article

  8. Kawhi is one of the most manipulative and sketchy athletes and people get fooled by him because he’s so low key and quiet.

  9. I think most teams operate in a grey area.

I also don’t think most teams have 28 million to give a star player to come be their franchise savior on top of the max contract they offered him.

  10. I remember thinking kawhi was the next Tim Duncan, all work professionalism with no drama… ever since the spurs and tony parker fall out, kawhi has looked like a real diva albeit his quiet personality

  11. That Espn 30 for 30 gonna be beautiful.
Board Man Gets Paid: The Rise and Fall of the Los Angeles Clippers.

  12. Two Clippers owners being such awful humans that the commissioner forced them to both sell the team in a smidge over a decade would be insuperable Clippers Bullshit.

Shit make the CLIPPERS move to Vegas to stop the Mavericks rumors and start over. Fuck your new arena, Ballmer, that’s what happens when you get bagged cheating on the salary cap AND tampering.
