The boys are trying, but they're not having any luck. When it's not an injury, it's bad management. I'd like to see them in the final stretch, but we have to try to move forward. But I believe in my boys. I have faith that they'll keep trying, and I'm here to see them win or lose. 💪🏽

  1. The offense is definitely a huge problem, but SP is even worse. Can’t come from behind day in and day out, the amount of HRs SP has given up is insane. Like an average of 2 per game. Also can’t even get past the 4th besides pivetta.

  3. This is a Shildt problem. Does nothing to change things up or make the “star” players afraid. He used to do it but now he’s catering to all their egos.

  4. I just tuned out and am not watching this game. I’m protecting my mental health now. I’m just so sad and upset with how bad the boys have been playing

  7. Definitely some problems but the lazy/no heart crowd are just wrong. Could have given up down 0-7 but chipping away. Cortez sucked, no doubt about it, and having xander and Adam’s out hurts.

  8. I don’t wanna see these guys sucking down smoothies in the game. Like take care of your body whatever you gotta do! But this is pre Madonna bullshit. Look it Mannys august number. No shake for you !

  9. This is not a playoff team anymore. The pitching kept us afloat far too long with low scoring games by our offense.

  10. My interpretation is that manny knows he’s been sucking recently but he doesn’t give a shit lol.. “guys, I’ve Manny fucking Machado, and if I suck for a whole month, I’m gonna at least suck down this smoothie.. unbothered”

  11. Bring back Randy Vasquez. He didn’t pitch great, but lasted more than 4 innings and their record with him was a winning record. I can’t explain how or why, but a win is a win

  12. really hard to believe this is the same team that started off 7-0 and then 14-3 all those months ago, what a different, magical time that was…

  13. Kinda feels like the pitching has carried this team into contention for 75% of the season…but they’re worn down. I think having SO many games with no offensive support wears on the pitching staff. The wins and the record have masked that absolute dogshit batting order. They’re below average OPS and hit about as well as the Marlins, 29th in HRs (only Pittsburgh is worse).

    Despite the big names, it’s a really poor offense and it’s been masked all season long. Coming to a head with the pitching falling off.

  14. Long season, boys are tired. You see it in LA right now too. Not stressing at all. Let the energy and momentum pick back up and we’ll be fine in a few weeks for playoffs

  15. Guys we’re gunna make the playoffs. The padres have sucked for so long. It might not be sunshine and rainbows right now but that’s how it is in every sport. Let’s try to be glass half full at least

  16. Too early to his the panic button. Long season, Sept call ups are here. We’ve got a really really good team and manager who I believe in 100%. We are not privy what goes on in the clubhouse. I think we got behind early the last few games – but we’ve fought back too Every time. Team has fight.

    We are pretty comfortable were we are in the 5 spot in the NL. Things could change but can’t kill ourselves now against AL opponents (Ms and Os). That’s why we aren’t playing with great urgency.

    Need to just hold the line for the home stretch.

  17. Can’t get swept by a team whose two best players you just acquired. But here we are.

  18. Baseball season is a very long grind. It’s also a streaky sport. You just have to be hot at the right time. This is not a bad time to slump, it’s an opportunity to tweak a couple thing, reset, and start the final push

  19. It’s a chemistry thing and higher pressure they all put on themselves instead of just having fun. You bring in this many new faces those expectations start to creep higher and higher. Same thing different year. It was a fun deadline but it’s such a short amount of time to create lightening in a bottle.

  21. Starting pitching is horrible. I don’t see how we get past that. Yu, Cease, Nestor… just awful. Pivetta is also showing signs of a dip in results.

Starting pitching is shit, offense cant get it going, hits are at their lowest, two of our best players (Manny and Nando) are slumping, the management from Shildt is trash, the bullpen is being overworked, now we got Bogey and Adam on the injury list and WHO KNOWS when tf Michael King is coming back. We are screwed 🥲
