Sorry for the low quality of the photo since my dad sent it to me and he has ever be skilled with cameras let alone technology lol

According to what my dad told me, It was sometime in the 70s and the Habs had an "old timers" team that went from town to town playing against local old timer teams. My grandfather was the head of our barn and The Rocket (who also was the ref for the game) handed him an award for "Best Kept Stadium" or something along those lines. My grandfather is a die hard Blackhawks fan and said that "shaking The Rockets hand was like shaking the devil's hand." My dad was super excited since him and the rest of our family are die hard Habs fans.

  2. In the 80s I went to a charity celebrity game that The Rocket refereed in. He gave Richard Dean Anderson a penalty for “looking so good”

I was probably around 10 at the time and had a white #9 Richard jersey. I took it off and he signed the front. I gave a speech that same year in front of my class about Richard. Good times.

  3. Tell your Dad he’s getting 2 minutes for having a nostalgic kid!

ps great connection to RR, oh & I had the opposite, no one in my family were Habs fans except my grandfather, but today…I’ve seen them all look longingly at our current trajectory.
