love it ! And he’s still going by the way… in winter ball this year he hit .293 while stealing 27 basis vs 5 cs. His teammates included giant milb vets like Juniel Querecuto, Edwin Escobar and Keyvius Sampson. Hernández is a decade younger than the oldest MLB player this year.

Bought my son 2 tickets on the Arcade to see the Nationals play the giants and get a chance to see Bryce Harper up close. Turns out it ended up being the day after the Harper Strickland fight…bad luck. Still had a blast and ended up getting a ball from Gorkys. Memories were made that night.

He’s still playing in Venezuela. In fact he went up against future Giants legend Luis Hernandez in a summer league final a month ago
I can’t reproduce it in type but I loved hearing Jon Miller’s pronunciation of his name.
