Mike Green Says Ravens Are ‘Very Prepared’ to Face Bills | Baltimore Ravens

I know defense obviously collective effort, but as pass rushers, how much premium do you put on getting constant pressure on him to try and help you guys win? Uh, it’s it’s going to be very vital. Um, because um I think that, you know, pass rushing as a whole um is very important so you get the quarterback off their launch points. You can get um the DBs more time to to uh to cover. So, um it’s very vital and uh I I I think we got a great room of pass rushers and I and um um it’s going to be a great test for us. Mike, I apologize if you got it, but you’ve had some preseason obviously, but how excited are you to get the first one going for yourself? Yeah. Yeah, I’m I’m I’m really excited. Um it’s going to it’s going to be the first time we get to showcase our talent. Um I think we got a great team and of course that uh the the competition that that we’re going to get is going to be good as well. So, it’s going to be a good test and uh we’re ready and we’re excited. For yourself personally, is this something you’ve worked for? Are you going to take that moment pregame to soak it all in that your NFL debut is here? Of course. Of course. Um and that’s kind of just what I do before every game. Um even the preseason games that I played in um just try to take some time and just come to realization and realize like all the work um everything that you did leading up to this point um helped you get to there. So, so yeah. So, before every game um I’m doing that, Mike. I know, you know, one game at a time. At the same time, I mean, do you ever look at the first month of schedule like, okay, Josh Allen, we got Jared Goff, we got Patrick Mahal. Is that a little bit surreal for you to kind of look at the schedule and see the quarterbacks you have in this first? Oh, of course. Of course. And uh it’s kind of crazy because um I don’t know who our second game is. So, we’re always focused on um chipping uh chipping at um each level that we that we play. Um and um everybody that we play, we we make sure that we give them our all. We because we respect them, of course, and and um we’re ready for this week and we just been preparing this whole time for this first game. And uh as the season goes on, of course, um you can uh have preview well more time to to play the other uh quarterbacks, of course. But I think as of right now, we’re focused on uh the main thing, and that’s our next game. What’s the what have some of the old the vets told you about trying to bring down Josh Allen? He is uniquely challenging to sack. Yeah. And uh I kind of said like he’s he’s not just big, he’s also fast, he’s elusive. Um he’s he’s quick. Um as you can tell, it’s it’s it’s difficult to get him down. So um uh there I mean we’re doing our tackle drills of course and uh we’re we’re um getting coached up to what to do and uh I think that uh we’re very prepared for it and and uh it’s going to be a good test for us. How much is chasing Lamar around help you prepare for that? Yeah. Um if if you can chase Lamar around, you could chase any receiver around in this league. And uh yeah, he’s did a great job giving us great looks and um yeah, so it’s been good.
