  1. Outside of maybe Chicago, there’s not a team/sports city I despise more than Philadelphia.

  2. Starting to feel a lot like 2023. Set the summer on fire, then limp into October. Maybe one of these times they’ll go into October hot

  3. I can’t believe we already got knocked out of the playoffs due to losing a regular season game where 3 of our best hitters didn’t play.

  4. So we now have played everyone but SD fully who is in the playoff picture.

    Tiebreaker against 3.

Rest of season priority is getting healthy and winning enough to get 1 seed. Prime position for it.

  5. Not saying they necessarily would’ve won, but you absolutely have to score at least a run when you have runners in second and third with no outs. You just have to.

  6. That was truly a playoff special. Great starting pitching, offense getting hits and failing with RISP. Even threw in a nice Payamps suck fest and, of course, the robbed home run to tip it off.

  7. On the bright side, if Payamps didn’t give up a run, I’d be much more upset about that Bader catch

  8. All I keep thinking is how good Freddy was, how close we were to winning with the lineup we rolled out versus the best money can buy.

  9. I mean, honestly….we just needed 1 of these games to get the tiebreaker. In reality, the Phillies gained a half game. We had chances to win all 3 of these games, though.

This team is limping right now but so are a lot of other teams. It doesn’t make me feel any better about our situation.

I feel we are backing in.

  10. Another loss we should’ve won. It’s greedy but since the Reds series we are 10-11 and at least half our losses are games that we should’ve won. Sucks too because it is just keeping the Cubs alive. They are so close to being dead for the division, but losses like this keep them around.

  11. I don’t get why Jansen was allowed to hit in the ninth there, also I would rather see literally anyone beside Payamps on the mound

  12. I’m getting on my flight to Pittsburgh right now! We move! Let’s get a sweep and wrap this division up 💪

  13. Only 2 people to blame for that loss

    1. Danny Jansen
    2. Murphy for starting Danny Jansen

Hes not a major league player. Dont start him against ranger Suarez and the Phillies. We have three games with the pirates coming up. Start him all 3 games for all I care. Contreras can rest against the pirates. But we are trying to step on the neck of a potential playoff opponent. Why are you starting this fucking bum Danny Jansen.

Rhys would have been a great guy to DH today. Im sure hes super happy about rotting away down in the minors while these other clowns get big league at bats.

  14. There’s just too many useless bats in the lineup right now. Idk why were sitting both turang and frelick when Yelich is already out. 4/9 guys are guaranteed outs

  15. That game fucking sucked. No clutch offense at all and hopelessly bad umpiring. I hope we’re getting all of this lack of clutch out of the way now so that it’s not in October. Because this really did look like playoff Brewers baseball of recent years.

  16. I understand playing your JV players occasionally. But I don’t understand playing them in Peralta starts.

Play them during a Miz start. Who cares if we lose 10-0 or 10-8. Then maybe we can get Freddy some runs.

  17. Fun fact, I think we need to score to win. But we have the season series over them. Sucks to not get a run for Freddy fighting through traffic

  18. Murphy’s motto was “win today” until mid August. I’d like to get back to that philosophy before it’s too late.

  19. God damnit. Based on McCalvy’s tweets, seems like Nick Mears is now headed to the IL. One after the other after the other.
