Pablo Torre on Cuban’s “Steve isn’t that dumb” claim: “If not for that little line item (KL2 Aspire, LLC) in a bankruptcy filing that no one else noticed, this would not have been a problem… They would’ve gotten away with it, and now I’m gonna quote Scooby-Doo: ‘if not for those meddling kids.'”

  1. *trust me guys, hes not stupid enough to do this he just fell for a pretty obvious ponzi scheme he was the biggest investor in*

  2. Hmm curious if this helps or hurts Pablo career long term with other teams and players.
Essentially he’s stopping players from getting paid more, I wonder if he’ll face some repercussions.

  3. What happens when Uncle Dennis thinks he’s the smartest person in Kawhi’s circle.

  4. We all know billionaires are super moral and ethical and would never try to give themselves an unfair advantage. I think the general frustration on this sub with this is the fact that billionaires will still cheat and try to operate above the law (in this case the CBA) even when it is something as meaningless as sports. None of us are personally hurt or affected by this, but it just reminds us that they already bend the rules when the stakes are high. They literally exploit loopholes, destroy the planet, and undermine our country for profit. So when we see them doing the same thing in sports, it feels like a smaller reflection of the much bigger problem.

  5. I don’t buy any “couldn’t be that dumb” argument but also it isn’t like KL2 is a very secretive LLC name for the guy

  6. ESPN in shambles trying to act like this shit isn’t beyond obvious. Ballmer made a call to Bob Iger real quick.

  7. Naming the shell company that you use for illegal activity after yourself takes a special kind of dumb.

  8. Pablo is on a generational run to be Both a pariah to front offices and the go to person for people who want to get dirt out for someone. Lol. He standing on bidness props to him

  9. The Kawhi signing came in tandem with the Clippers making arguably the worst trade in nba history, hasn’t the universe dispensed justice?

  10. nba players are already calling him a snitch for messing with their bread- see jeff teague

  11. I just hope everybody realizes that Kawhi is just as culpable as Ballmer in this case, if not moreso. It’s well reported that his team was making these requests knowing they were illegal. Honestly he should be facing the same punishment as Jontay Porter. Both of these issues affect the integrity of the league.

  12. Gotta tackle Steve Ballmer and remove the mask in order to discover the true culprit…

  13. Cuban is probably involved in lots of deals with balmer and is just full of shit. It’s how the world works now

  14. Cuban’s tweet is a strategic way of saying: “Don’t believe this, it sounds too dumb,” which helps soften the heat Ballmer and the Clippers are under.

  15. No way Dirk left roughly $192 million on the table for “team friendly” deals over his career without getting kickbacks from Cuban

  16. 50 million for Steve is like 100 bucks to me. It hurts but I’ll probably move on pretty quickly

  17. “RICH PEOPLE CAN’T POSSIBLY BE STUPID” – rich guy who thought he’d still have a management role after selling team because they promised and then saw Luka get traded almost immediately afterwards.

  18. All evidence of the past 20 years has proven the wealthiest 1% are some of the dumbest, most out of touch individuals in society.

Being wealthy has little to do with intelligence. It has even less to do with hard work.

Also, if he was so fucking smart he’d know that the clippers will always be a bitch franchise. Sorry to kick clips fans when they’re down, y’all deserve a real franchise.

  19. Ballmer made a $50M “investment” in a company that he allegedly did no due diligence on. That’s not normal. I know there is a tendency to think he’s so rich that it is immaterial, but that is not normal even for a billionaire. And then the CEO signed Kawhi’s endorsement deal without any of the typical internal review completed. Cuban standing up for Ballmer with 0 information or real facts is pathetic and tone deaf. Billionaires sticking up for billionaires. Steve couldn’t have been lying…he’s rich!

  20. I don’t think it can be underestimated that these guys think they are super-geniuses because of their disgusting wealth, not counting on the fact that they may be billionaires merely because they were in the right place at the right time (for instance Cuban) or benefitted because of their connections or even had some personal role to play but also were willing to be rapacious bastards and exploit others for their own personal benefit, and now that they are so rich are also completely out of touch with the world

  21. >They should reverse suspend Kawhi..His punishment is that he has to play

This YouTube comment is funny lol

  22. Republicans defending pedophiles/billionaires, ESPN defending sports corruption/billionaires, money talks and the rich get richer and don’t play by the rules or morals

  23. The last few years of public billionaire celebrities has not done anything to convince me any of them are particularly smart and more typically it’s eye opening how many of them seem to be dumbasses outright
