Here he is, the big guy taking the mound. Start number 29 on the season for Paul Skins. What a matchup. Skins versus Otani. Center cut. Oh, and two. This one a little bit better placed when he went upstairs with it, but that first one he just challenged him right down the middle. First pitch of the game. Let’s see what happens. Otani calls time. Curveball. One and two. Another curve ball. Well, that’s a pretty good pitch. I don’t know how to get a piece of that after those high fast balls. Look at that ball coming down and in. He actually got underneath it, which is even more surprising. Thought he had pounded that one into the ground maybe. Change up goes to two and two. That’s four strikeouts for Sk tonight and 191 on the season as he’s approaching 200 strikeouts for the year. Ski in not a full season last year. 133 innings, struck out 170. Tough play Deainy, but good exchange gets Rojas. But now you got Moy Bats. Short stop is there. Triolo and that’ll do it. Nick York just trying to learn how to play some first base, but recovers. Keeps it close. That glove does look a little new, doesn’t it? Yeah. Tasker Hernandez down on strikes. That’s five for skins. Might be why that ball popped out. Yeah, another strike out. High heat. Gets another strike out. Six for skins. Skins against Andy Pahes. First pitch grounded to Deainy. That’ll help. One pitch, one out. Looking for some efficiency here from Skins to get him at least six innings. And right now, not bad. 66 pitches. a popup as he stopped his swing almost as a pitch got to home plate and it’s a pop out to Reynolds for the second out. That’s it. 99 mph strikes him out. That’s seven for Schemes. A first pitch sweeper. So Otani a strikeout and a walk. two for 10 his career now against skins. Four strikeouts, one walk. Slow stuff downstairs. Well, this is the last time they will meet this season. And would it be fun if Schemes picks up his eighth strikeout of the night in the last matchup of the year against Jose against Shoe Otani 0 and2. He does hard stuff upstairs. strikes out Otani for a second time tonight. Eight strikeouts overall. Skain knows what he wants to do with everybody, including Otani. And he executes a pop up on the infield. Cam Deainy. Two outs. Three and one. Fly ball deep left center. Canario back and he’s there approaching the notch and that is six shut out innings for the incredible Paul Sches who leaves in a standing ovation. Paul Sches will hug Don Kelly. Six shutout innings, eight strikeouts. He allows two hits.
