SF GIANTS vs. COLORADO ROCKIES Game 3 POSTGAME

Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. Here there’s a swing. There’s a high drive to left by Machos way back there. It’s gone. There’s Canada deep field. [Applause] Yeah. Heat. Awesome. About two. Now that’s how you supposed to drive from now on. That’s how you drive. It’s great. Mr. Mi is going to teach me front sweeps, right? I found out from this guy. The guys who fight in these tournaments, they’re suckers for fun streams. Really? I mean, if I if I get that down, man. You hold this fast. That’s no joke. All right. [Music] Sorry about that. Having a little computer issues. What else is new? What else is new? What is up everyone? Welcome to the Humbaby Baseball Channel. The San Francisco Giants have won another baseball game. I don’t know what’s happening right now. It’s a sweep, ladies and gentlemen. Oh my gosh, it’s happening from the office. And I see some red and it’s from none other than Jason Corona. him a sweep 10 and one in our last 11. From now on, that’s how you play. Oh my goodness. 99 99. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Oh my goodness. Unbelievable. Thank you, Jason Corona. Wow. Wow. Wow. Uh I don’t know what to say. It’s a sweep. 10 and one in the last 11 after being one of the worst teams. And also, how many consecutive games with a home run? It’s a record for the San Francisco Giants in the San Francisco era for consecutive games with a home run. 16 consecutive games with a home run. 17 games with a home run. What? after this team couldn’t hit a home run of their life depended on it. Losing every single day at home and all of the sudden taps is played. Taps is in effect. Taps is taps is is just it’s always it taps is not a temporary thing. That’s why I’m so hesitant to play it. Everyone begs for it on the second week of the season. I try to explain people who don’t seem to understand what taps is. It means I’m tapping out. It’s done. And at the at the point that I played it, that’s how I felt. But are the Giants going to prove me wrong? I would love to see it. They are sort of doing it. They’re sort of doing it, but I don’t play taps lightly. I only play taps when there’s a hole so that that that the hole they dug was so deep that there was no way they were just going to climb out of it with a couple wins. They’re going to have to win 20 out of 22. There’s still a long way to go, but the Mets did lose today by a score of six-2 to the Detroit Tigers. And so that definitely helped the Giants out uh in the wild card. Right now, the Giants are four games out of the wild card. That is sounds unbelievably close, but it sounds a lot closer than it really is because as long as the Mets keep winning and the Padres’s keep winning, you know, the Padres’s I say that the Padres’s have lost four in a row. Padres’s are in a total downfall. They’re completely in a freef fall right now. And the Giants are the opposite. So everything is kind of lining up right now. Positive 22 run differential. They were in the negatives. now positive 22. Suddenly things are lining up for a miraculous September run right here. But but one one slip, one tough series, you fall to five, six games uh back instead of uh you know getting closer, it could it would could and would be the end. Four games back of the wild card. I’m not reversing taps. I didn’t say nothing about reversing taps. I know nothing about reversing taps. Um 199 for the Salvation Army. [Music] Thank you so much everyone for being here. But yeah, I mean right now this has been an unbelievable run. This is the team’s chance. They need to keep winning. Going to need to win 17 to 21 to have a chance. Unlikely. A and everything is riding on the next and not everything’s riding on the next game, but this next series, if you’re serious about the Giants chances, this is the most important series of the year. Um because they’re on the road now. Now, Colorado is one thing. They had to sweep the Rockies. I said yesterday this was a must-win game. They had to sweep the Rockies. because they’re not going to sweep the Dodgers. They’re not going to sweep I mean, they might sweep them once, but they’re not going to probably sweep them twice. They’re not going to just sweep the um um probably not going to sweep the Dbacks in Arizona maybe. But, you know, they got to play the Cardinals in St. Louis and then again at at at Oracle and they got to play the Rockies three more times at Oracle. There’s a lot of work yet to be done to really get back in it, but it starts in St. Louis on Friday for sure. Three games in St. Louis and I think I’m going to be there for it. I think I’m going to be there for it. I went in 2017 and I recall that uh the Cardinals kicked the Giants ass 8-3. I also went in 2018 uh to a couple of games in St. Louis. The Cardinals kicked the Giants ass. There was a close game. It was like five to three and a five to four. There was a couple of close ones, but the car and then there was one laugher. The Cardinals won like 9 to2. In other words, every game I’ve ever gone to a Bush Dam Giants got their asses kicked. So maybe I shouldn’t call Johnny Hans with the 10 spot. Tiebreaker look ahead. SF is four games behind the Mets, but it’s really five as the wild card goes. Mets own the tiebreaker. head-to-head three to three, but has intra division lead night 23-19. NL East versus San Francisco 16 and 20. That’s a 10 spot. Johnny Hans breaking it down right there. [Music] I do appreciate that. So, yeah, really it’s a five games. Um, yeah, we got a day off tomorrow. We could definitely make the drive to St. Louis. It is definitely not impossible. Okay. We We got to get there early. Okay. And and and and we’re planning to go to St. Louis. I’m planning on it. I’m leaning towards doing it. I got to book motel and get all that on the road right now. We just got a little bit of a donation from Jason Corona to help out fund this journey. Now, I will be in the cheap seats, you know, unless uh I heard that they’re not selling well at at Bush Stadium this year. I heard that they’re not uh doing well with attendance. So, um we’ll see. You know, maybe I’ll be able to, you know, in the later innings kind of go down. Sometimes the the uh sometimes they don’t care. You know, I don’t like to do that because I I want to sit in a seat that I paid for, but then again, if it’s sixth, seventh inning and the place is empty and nobody cares, definitely I’ll go down there a little closer. Um, Eric just flew in from San Francisco to St. Louis. And boy has his arms tied. Paul Burgley, unless we sweep sweep Arizona, Louisiana, and Colorado again. Um, it’s possible, Johnny. Thank you for the super chats. Let’s break this one down. And today it was the Chapman day. I thought Chapman wasn’t going to play today cuz he got suspended for a game. Are you kidding me? How soft are we? He He kind of went up there. There was a ball. They were all running onto the field. He went out there and he shoved the pitcher a little bit. Let’s go. Not like he punched him in the face. You got ejected. That’s not enough. They suspended him for a game in addition to the to the to the ejected game. So, luckily he was able to appeal that. So, he played today. Now, I’m I’m I’m I’m wondering if he maybe shouldn’t have appealed and just took his suspension against the C against the Rockies cuz God forbid later on this year. He he misses a game against the Dodgers or something. Well, you know, maybe we would have been better off he just served his one game here. But, you know, it is what it is. So, he did play, but at I say that, but then again, we needed him today because he hit two home runs. So, as it turned out, it was a great decision to appeal that and play uh because he went deep in this game, not once, but twice, and he had three hits, four RBI’s, a walk, got on base four times. Big game for Matthew Chapman. It started in the top of the second when he went deep to center field, making it one- nothing. And then the Giants scored three more in the third. Bailey with a base hit. Not that his only hit today. A big day for Patrick Bailey today where he goes deep yesterday. It comes out today with two hits. Patrick Bailey all getting hot. Elliot Ramos followed up with a hit and Rafy Devers with a base hit making it two to nothing. And then Adam sackfly three nothing. Chappie walks. Flores with the base hit driving in a run four nothing. The Rockies struck back with a run in the bottom half and then they rallied big time in the bottom of the fifth inning. Ray kind of started to uh not uh uh yeah Ray Ray Ray started to fall apart there. Um gave up a double to Keros, gave up a hit to Freeman. Um and anyway, Beck hit a base. Before you know it was five to four, the Rockies took the lead, but that did not last long. Top of the six. Schmidy walks. Moss walks. Bailey base hit to tie it. And Elliot Ramos with the hit, making it six to five. Chappie with his second bomb of the year to left center, nine to five. And then in the seventh, a solo shot from Drew Gilbert, a line shot to right field, 10 to five. And uh the Rockies did give us a little bit of torture in the bottom of the ninth, but it was too little, too late. Giants win a game. Tough game today for Ryan or not Ryan Walker, but JT Brewbaker in his uh Giants debut. He’s a nice guy, though. JT Brewbaker is a nice guy. That’s all that is, Ray. But he definitely did not impress in his San Francisco Giants debut. Um, but uh, yeah, I like Brew Baker. Um, okay. So, good luck on your trip. Thank you, Bob Grenelli. Hell of a series torture. P. Bo got Bale got ejected between innings. He was out there barking. Uh, Ray got screwed with a bad call. The bumpers were terrible. Chappie fired up play like his ass was on fire. Dude came to play. Balled out. Player of the game. Not even close. And Ray is running out of gas. Tomorrow will be a new edition of the Humaby Baseball podcast where we cover the week. We’ll talk about the brawl. We’ll talk about this game. We’ll talk about the Giants chances. We’ll preview the series in St. Louis. And I’m also going to discuss any Major League Baseball news. There hasn’t been too much. I saw an Astros pitcher like there there’s the cross up and on a pitch that uh looked like he intentionally threw a fast ball when he knew the catcher was not expecting it. Framer Valdez threw a fast ball. Uh it’s one of the most bizarre things I’ve ever seen. So there are a couple of uh little storylines going on, but nothing super big right now. Um 500,000 miles on the 2015 Chevy Sonic. It’s possible, but you that’s not that’s not going to happen unless there’s uh major jobs done that are probably beyond my capability. Probably before 500K, it would need a a new transmission. Uh it would probably need a new um what’s it called? Uh head gasket at some point. um major major work on on the engine before I could ever get there. I mean, I’m not even at 200k. Don’t go to Friday’s game. We might lose cuz Seymour is pitching. I was planning to go I was planning to go I was planning to go to all three if I’m you know and also I’m going to go to Dodger Stadium. I already know what day what game I’m going to. Um, we’ll do a stadium review for Bush Stadium and Dodger Stadium. And I and I did go to Chase Field, but I can’t find the footage I took. I I probably got it somewhere. I got I gota I didn’t I can’t find the footage. So, I I might have to go back to Chase Field another day to do that stadium review, I think. Um, let’s check out the Giants 2025 schedule. Why is the internet not Okay, it’s clipping on it. Clipping on it. Clicking on it. Nothing’s happening. Why is this so small? Can’t even barely see it. Um, okay. So, yeah, the game I’m going to in LA, I believe, is going to be on the 18th of September. 18th. Uh, there there’s a four game series there in LA. So, we’ll be there in LA. um to support Los Higantes uh that weekend. But first, so two consecutive road weekends. Um but first they got a home after the St. Louis trip. They got three home games against the Diamondbacks, three home games against the Dodgers. They hit the road uh to Arizona, Chase Field, then four against the Dodgers. Back home for three against the Cardinals, and three against the Rockies. That’s literally it. There’s only one, two, three. Sorry, let me try. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven more series. Seven more series. You have to gain a game per series. We got to gain a game per series going as Clarence. I don’t think so. Well, I’m going to hit I’m going to hit Oracle Park this year, too. Um, we’ll hit Oracle Park. We’re going to have to hit Oracle Park and and and and and support uh the Giants during this crazy stretch. They deserve it. I wasn’t going to go to anymore. I wasn’t I was done. I was done. But they have earned my money. They have earned my money. They have earned my cash. Not a lot. We’re going to be in the Chief seats. Wolf, Oracle Park, September 13th. Let me look. Oh, Dodger game. Yeah, that’s possible. Uh, that’s possible. What were we talking about again? I think I already recaped the game. Player of the game today by no one’s surprise, Matt Chapman. Three for four, two home runs. Matt Chapman is a nice guy and a great baseball player. Uh what a great what a great player. Probably our our best, you know, all around defensively, offensively. Uh he’s incredible. So, Matt Chapman definitely player of the game. Not even close. We have Paul, we have everyone else here. I don’t know what else to say. Um, this is just an insane run right here. I I I I Who saw it coming? I thought things would get better. I knew things would get better. They weren’t going to just lose 17 to 18 at home and lose another 17 to 18. They weren’t just going to lose every day. They were going to get better. they were going to start winning again, but you would assume they’d also lose here and there because they were not a good team. They just weren’t good. They were actually horrible. And so you think, well, they’re going to bounce back, start winning some here and there. Instead, they start winning every day. They start hitting like never before seen. They have broken records this year in a negative way and in a now in a positive way. as far as the consecutive home runs go, most consecutive home runs in San Francisco Giants history in the Giant in the San Francisco era. And we’re seeing these guys driving in runs, having big games, hitting hitting with runners in scoring position, five for 10 today. You could say, “Ah, it’s against the Rockies.” Yeah, this was against the Rockies, but this this hot stretch has gone on a lot longer than that. They they kicked the Cubs ass. They kicked the kicked the Orioles ass. They they won against the Brewers on the road. This started really on that trip to San Diego, right? I wonder if we can see like the baseball reference wins and losses. It probably looks so weird. Here it is. Look at all the red here in the second half. Lost, loss, loss, loss, win, win, lost, loss, loss, loss, loss, loss, win, loss, win, loss. Couple of wins, loss, loss, loss, loss, loss, loss, loss. Couple of wins, loss, loss, loss. Giants couldn’t win again. Just horrible. It was horrible. On August 22nd, is that when I played taps? Is that when I played taps? August 21st is when I played taps. August 21st is when I played taps right here. And they even lost the next day. Seven games under 500. Since then, they’ve done nothing but win except for one terrible game against the Baltimore Orioles. And this doesn’t show the most recent sweep against the Rockies. So, since that taps day, they’ve lost one and then win win win loss win win. Holy Moses. There’s a what it means to be a Giants fan clip or instruction manual. There should be one. Definitely. Definitely. Play taps on August 20th. The next coming schedule is looking real tough, but if they keep playing this good, they could beat Arizona next. Have we broke the 30 home run curse? No. Adamus doesn’t have 30 yet. Uh I know Devers does. That doesn’t count because he played half the year with the Red Sox. Um, Adam Thomas has 26. It’s not a guarantee, but it’s possible. How about your guy Patrick Bailey coming up with a big knock with the runners and wow, he did it the other day. Hit a home run. Who is this new Bailey? Bailey, you just had to be patient. Bailey’s coming around. Gifties. Maybe somebody wants gifties. We got to get somebody wants gifties. We got to do gifties. Can we do gifties? Here’s five. Here’s five. Gifties. Gifties. Babe Rocks. Jenny Vega. Micah. Calvin. Tado12457 and Kenny Mosenko have been gifted gifties. And this is a good time to be gifted because I’m going to be putting up a lot of free free membership videos during the weekend in St. Louis, Arizona. Arizona. St. Louis, Missouri. I don’t know why I said Arizona. I think the Z’s. St. Louis, Missouri. So thank you again Jason Corona for that. That is unbelievable. Please uh support Corona Accounting Solutions. Unbelievable. Unbelievable. Amazing support. Thank you so much everybody for being here. I do appreciate it. Um definitely got to work on the podcast for tomorrow and we’re going to preview this series. But first, let’s see what’s going on just tomorrow. Not tomorrow, but Friday. What’s on deck for Friday, September the 5th? Let’s see here. What’s going on? Can’t provide a secure connection. 2025. The internet sucks. 2025, we got garbage internet. Okay, here’s Friday. It is going to be uh Carson Seymour against the rookie Michael McGrevy. I I think this guy’s really good. Six and two on the year, 4.17 RA. Last time we saw uh Carson um LA chimney Christmas. What is going on right now? Why is this the There it is. Last time we saw Carson Seymour, I didn’t pitch very well. He’s 0 and2. He hadn’t got a win yet. 24 and two/3, 18 strikeouts only. Um, this is scary, man. This is a scary matchup. McGrevy, I can see him pitching well. I’m guessing that probably the Cardinals are favored. Let’s see. having trouble finding it. But it wouldn’t surprise me at all if the Cardinals are favored. But it doesn’t matter who’s favored. We know who’s hot right now. Uh it’s just a matter how well Carson Seymour pitches tomorrow. I mean Friday. Hit the like button before Jenny sends me down to Sacramento. Han Solo, never tell me the odds. I don’t want to know. We just swept. We need more likes. He pitched bad against the Orio. Devils could hit 34 home runs before the season over. Adamus has got a shot at 30. That’s Enrique Samura. Internet is clearly Okay. I I hate the Yeah, bro. You You I love the fact the internet exists. Allows normal people like myself to do what you know, do what we do, put up videos. It’s a cool that that’s a really cool aspect of it. But I don’t like that it sucks. Damn. My air got happy for that one day and one stream for OBS internet. Now nothing. No, my my my I I’m that they they they came and tried to fix it and I still don’t have a good upload speed. It’s okay enough for a Streamyard, but it’s not there. It’s like five. I was 20 for one day. for one day it was 20. Look at my my download speed is great. It’s like 35, which I don’t know if that’s good for for for y’all, but for me that’s like awesome. I’m used to like 10 download speed. Look at this. What is this crap? Look at my upload speed. That’s a miracle I can even stream right now. It’s like 0.8 822. I thought we were good to go. I’m going to call them after this weekend. I’m going to call them and and and I’m going to call this internet and can’t I I got them for a month free like to test it out. If y’all can’t give me some upload speed, we’re trying someone else. What kind of [ __ ] upload speed? 222. Uh, thank you guys so much for being here. You dated your last stream 31 August to September 1st. Found you were on too late. Missed it. Thank you, Enrique. Uh, let’s check out what else are we going to check out. I think that’s it for today. We’re almost out of time. Player of the game is my man Matt Chapman. We got gifties getting out. We’re going to be coming hard this weekend with car videos. car videos and uh car streams and content and a stadium review of uh we’re going to do a stadium review of Bush Stadium [Music] and also an extended review for you guys. extended review is going to be like 30 minutes of content. Um, and we’ll also do some random stuff, but also No, I’m sure I have I have the worst connection I’ve ever seen. I don’t know why. I don’t know why it’s bad, y’all. It’s bad. I thought I would have guessed by now it’s doing okay 4.3 I would have really honestly if you’d have talked to me in the in the late 90s uh when you know even mid 90s when the internet was first coming out and I was on something called Prodigy and then we had AOL and you know it was pretty slow and everything but if you’d asked me how the internet’s going to be in 2025 I said it’s it’s going to fly for everyone instantaneous internet wherever you are Uh, sort of. I was sort of right. I wouldn’t say it flies. It just kind of depends. [Music] Maybe we’re going to switch mics here and get a better switch mics here. Better audio. Test test test. When the giants come to town. Bye bye baby. Every time the chips are down, it’s bye bye baby. History’s in the making at Kors Fields. Cheer for the bear and light the spark. fans of Giants baseball. Bye bye baby. If you want to be in first place, bye bye baby. Listen to the broadcast on K&BR. You’ll see exactly who we are. San Francisco Giants. Bye-bye, baby. [Music] [Music] Thank you. Make sure to hit that subscribe button and we’re going to talk to y’all tomorrow. [Music] Peace. Flying cars. Yeah. Don’t be asking those stupid ass questions every night. You know what? You know what? You know what, Logan? God damn. Stupid ass questions every night. Why the [ __ ] would we have flying cars? We got [ __ ] airplanes already. Why the [ __ ] we gonna fly cars? Who in their right mind will let us fly cars? We be crashing in the sky every day. Explosions all up in every day be 911. Why in the [ __ ] would we drive car? We ain’t flying no damn cars up in here. What the freak fly car for? Tired of stupid ass questions every night. That’s my bad. See you. Uh, playoffs. Don’t talk about playoffs. You kidding me? Playoffs. I just hope we can win a game. Here. There’s a swing. There’s a high drive to left by Machos way back there. It’s gone. There’s Canada. [Applause] Yeah. Heat. [Music]
