Los Angeles Angels vs Kansas City Royals – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | September 4, 2025 MLB Season
Last one on this long road trip here tonight in Kansas City. It’s the finale of a three-game series and the end of this 10game trip for the Halos at Kaufman Stadium as they look for a sweep of the Kansas City Royals. And Seth Lugo was originally pushed back and then placed on the interest list altogether as Cameron tosses in a strike to start things off. Yeah. Oh, I appreciate that one. Swing and a miss by Zach Neto on a breaking ball. And just like that, Noah Cameron doesn’t get a lot of strikeouts. Has his first today. Was out of the game last couple of days. And here he pops one up off the end of his bat. It’s Michael Massie, the second baseman in shallow center field to retire Trout. Renipo hooks one to the left field corner. It’s deep down the line. It is gone. A home run. A three-run homer in the first. And Luis Reno has given the Angels an early start. Quick this was right to right right there to be able to get the hands in on that baseball and keep it fair. Cutter. Swinging a miss on a high fast ball ends the inning, but a good inning for the Angels. Oh, and two on Ystrmsky, the former Giant. And there you go. Rolls it right over. It’ll be Palaza taking that to the bag for the first half. There goes Whit. And it’s a pop up into left field. A base hit. Whit will make his way to third base running on the pitch. Pascantino puts it in play and bloops a single to left. The Royals trying to fight right back. It’s done mostly well since the break. Here’s a bouncer to short. Neto has it. Flipped to second one. Taylor to first. Two. A double play. That was Taylor made. So that opens that right side to Bunnet. Hits this one up the middle. It’s Whit who has it flips to second for one. The Royals turn the double play. So maybe something to think about in future plate appearances for Teodosia. Bases empty here and a swing and a miss again by Neto. So five strikeouts in the last two nights for Neto. Was likely going to come up in the order again. It’s a fly ball to center field. This cavernous ballpark. Teodosio doesn’t even have to wave anyone off here. He’s got it all for himself. Frasier has done well since rejoining the Royals. And gets a fly ball here to right pretty deep. Backboard is Adele. And that one’s going to go. So Adam Frasier continues his mastery of Kyle Hendris. The third time he’s homered off them. And the Royals get on the board. It’s three to one. He’s not really a home run guy either. One ball, two strikes on Massie. A chopper softly hit. That’s what Hendricks really wants from the lefties. That roll over ground ball. Two outs. The Jensen family. They’ve been here before. He’s bouncer up the middle. Zach Neto in position and that ends the inning. The Royals get on the board on Adam Frasier’s home run. It’s three to one. There’s a bouncer to short. Bobby Whit has it. Fires to second for one. And the Royals turn their second double play in as many innings. Three minutes yesterday. That’s been about it. One and two. Isbel with a chopper. PZA with the backhand pick. Hendrickx has to get there and he does by a step. Yeah, Barza, no matter where you put him, he is an outstanding defender. [Applause] Ground ball to third. Reno stabs at it, fires to second. One, Taylor to first. Two. A double play. Two double plays turned behind Kyle Hendricks. That’s a good one right there by Reno. Chris Taylor. Some quick hands on the turn. Cameron’s going to be able to get some double plays turned behind him as well as Kyle Hendris. Another liner to the left field corner. This one stays in play, but it’s a possible extra base hit. Rano’s motoring to second. Here comes the throw from Frasier. Too late. Leadoff double. The second extra base hit for Renipo today. But if they didn’t get through next weekend on a good run, maybe they’ll be back in it. It’s a bouncer to third. Oh, look at the footwork of Garcia starting that 543 double play. Still up three to one as Pascino serves one to right pretty deep and Adele will not have room. That’s gone. It’s the 29th homer for Pasquantino. Royals have hit a couple of solo shots to get back in this game. You know, it’s some missed opportunities for Halos to keep adding on. It’s allowed the Royals to feel part of that. There’s another ground ball off the handle of Perez’s bat. Hendricks throws him out. He’s getting part of the reason he’s been able to get those ground balls. He’s been able to get that fast ball. Little tapper to the left side that Neto surrounds and throws out Frasier. Lead off homer from Pasquantino. Made it a one-run game. Now the Angels lead three to2. Check swing bouncer. Cameron got turned around and he was unable to pick it. Casually tried to get to that baseball. That should end up being a base hit. Now do up next. That is strike three. Angels trying to add to the lead here in the fifth inning. Adell in a hitter’s count and he hits a fly ball to left. Sounded like he broke his bat. Easy play for Frasier and the Angels again squander an opportunity. Fly ball to left. Slices toward the corner. Taylor Ward makes the grab for the second half. [Applause] It’s Mikey Estreky to pop this one up. Rano on the infield has it and Kyle Hendris has made it through five with the lead. It’s still 3-2 Angels. A game the Angels would really like to have here tonight. Little bloop to shallow left. Whit goes out. In comes the left fielder Frasier for the Cap. Taylor goes down on strikes with that slider. Sharp break [Applause] can bat one hopper to pass Quantino and hurry it to the bag to end the inning. Quick inning for Molen. One, two, three. Bobby Wit Jr. certainly could spell trouble, but he hits the first pitch to Reano. One away. A big out. That’s huge, especially keep that speed off the bases and bouncing ball to third. Reano has that. Kyle Hendrickx has matched the moment tonight. Six strong innings in Kansas City. Another ground ball out by the best 12 games over 500 at PNC Park. That’s a swing and a miss on a 3-2 fast [Applause] asky gets over to make the play. Two outs. Oh, he was going. He was leaning and he’s out. Poland picks him off. So Trout will lead off the eighth inning as the Angels don’t score in the seventh. Still a 3-2 lead. There’s a fly ball to left way back. It’s another extra base hit and beyond for Salvador Perez as he ties this game. It’s three to three. Man, he’s hurt the Halo so often. You keep throwing slider after slider after slider. Now Frasier with a fly ball hit pretty well to left field toward the wall. It’s Ward running it down shy of the warning track. One out. Just going to try to get something down low and he got it. Swinging a miss by Massie for strike three and a fast ball. Two outs. Fine. Gets the first strike out from an Angels. Swing and a miss. Strike three. Jensen is out on strikes to end the seventh. Two and two. Trout goes down on strikes. One away. That’s a fly ball on a hanger that time, but Ward didn’t get much of it as he flies it to Isbel. Two up, two down. That kind of power, he can drive it. And he’s too late on that fast ball and it ends the inning. Ersk powered through the eighth. Two strikeouts in a 1, two, three inning. Stressky and Wit are next as Isbel slices one to the left field line. It’s Taylor Ward ranging and making the catch. One out. Fly ball left center. Taylor Ward is back. He’s at the wall. It is gone. You worry about the long ball with Zephr John and Bobby Wit connects. The fourth solo homer for the Royals. A crusher for the Angels. Why not Luis Garcia here in the bottom of the eighth? Zephr John gives up another homer. Bobby Wit hit it and it’s four to three Kansas City going into the ninth. There’s a liner to the gap in right center field. That’s extra bases for Yan Monata. Isbel goes to track it down near the wall. Mona has a double and the tying run in scoring position. Well, that was a rocket by Mona on the corner. Strike three. That was definitely a strike. One of the few that he’s called on the corner all night. But that is a strike at the knees. One and one. Remember that big. He swings through this fast ball at 98 m an hour. A big one in Kansas City. And goes down on strikes as the Royals sneak away with a win to finish this series. Four solo homers bring the Royals back to a 4-3
