Derrick Henry: ‘I’m Always Excited When Football’s Back’ | Baltimore Ravens

Derek, uh, you’ve obviously had a lot of openers. Uh, this haven’t really had a chance to get live action. How excited are you to finally do that Sunday night? Um, always excited when football’s back. Um, happy week one and, um, we get to get rolling. This offense, obviously, your second year in it. Uh, lot of weapons. Uh, how eager are you to see you guys finally be able to, you know, turn things loose and against another opponent? Yeah. Um, we got one more week, uh, of practice. uh tomorrow and um our walkthroughs on Saturdays and um I think guys are just focusing on working hard through the week and then let it go out there and show on on Sunday. Um I’m excited for everybody. I’m sure everybody’s excited to get back to playing football and you know go out there and execute and play the way we know how. John Mar said the other day, you know, you don’t flush that last game. They use it as motivation. What has motivated you the most from that last game? Um that day advanced and we didn’t. So, you know, they have the upper hand on us. Um, they played a hell of a game and it’s a reason why they won and, um, you know, we get an opportunity to play those guys again. All the little things were some of the things according to his issues last year, whether he preach snap penalties or just kind of beating yourself and that was a real emphasis, John said, in the offseason. You feel like that was accomplished? You got got rid of some of that stuff? Well, I think last year is last year. Um, you know, we didn’t like the way it ended last year, but you know, it’s this year is a new year and um, you know, focus on that what we need to do to put ourselves in position to win. Um, I know we know what not to do, you know.
