NBA LIVE! Golden State Warriors vs Phoenix Suns | September 5, 2025 | Warriors vs Suns | 2K
veteranheavy matchup like this. Well, you know, BA, it typically means we’ll get a clean game. These guys have been around for a while and know how to take care of the basketball. Here are the five for the Suns. Devin Booker out there with Jaylen Green. Then it’s Dylan Brooks. Then it’s Williams and it’s Dunn in at the four spot. Here’s her with the floater. That one no good. Some solid defense from Williams. Here’s Green and he was fouled while in the act of shooting. So he’ll take two free throws. It goes on Brandon Kajimki. So far proving he can score in this league. Green drawing more attention from the defense. [Applause] The first one falls. that Graham, despite the Warriors success over the last decade, it hasn’t always been this way for this franchise. Yeah, they didn’t have many winning seasons before they got Steph, Clay, and Dre. And you know, BA, from 1978 to 2012, they made the playoffs just six times. And both free throws good for Green. Well, the last few years, Richard, the Suns have had some all-time greats. But this is Devin Booker’s team, no doubt. drafted in 2015. Books been here his entire career. His first few seasons, the team was, let’s just say they were rebuilding, but Devin stayed loyal and enjoyed some stellar seasons since then. Now, here’s Brooks and that’s good. His first bucket of the game. And just as tough as they come, Dylan Brooks battling for two points. Curry passes to Green to the middle. Here’s Pensky. Ooh, a two-handed power slam with two hands on the rock. He powers it through. Totally in control, protecting the ball the whole way. Outside Green. Brooks. The pass to Williams. Out of bounds. It’ll be Warriors ball. So, it’s the Warriors now and we’re about a minute and a half into the first quarter. Here’s Curry. Has to hurt from behind the ark. Still it from deep. Nice shot from Butler making himself a threat from downtown and it’s Phoenix’s ball. Booker pass to Brooks. Back to Booker. Curry with a steal. Here’s Green. Williams defending back to Curry. [Applause] Driving in. Oh, it’s blocked by Williams. Pass break. Here we go. And here they go. Oh, a huge slam. An exclamation point on that break. The dimedropping ability of Green. I love it when he looks for his teammates and gets them involved. Green. The pass to Heal. Here’s Curry. [Applause] And it’s going to be a 3second call. And the fans love seeing incredible moments on defense like that block. And that kind of rejection early on energizes your squad. The coaching staff just loves this kind of hustle. Curry against Booker to the paint. Here’s Green. Yes. And it’s Booker with the setup. Nice poise inside from Green showing how comfortable he is amongst the trees. And Steve Kerr calls timeout. Coach wants to speak to his guys, maybe alter some of the game plan. [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Applause] [Applause] And here in the first approaching three minutes played inside. Here’s Green and it’s good. Assisting on the play was Curry. And this is where Green looks to score. He’s comfortable and confident down low. Hooker surveying the floor. Brooks outside. Parked it down low that time. Got hit with the 3second call. The Warriors trailing. Pull the trigger outside. Pajki. Pass to Curry. Just under three and a half minutes elapsed here in the first quarter. Oh, Williams with the block. They get it back. Majimki hits the trifecta. The Jimski’s got five. That’s a fantastic decision by Curry. Defense too focused in on St. And so it’s Booker with it. He brings it up for the Suns. Fires from deep. Pajinsky grabs the board. The Warriors have gone four of eight and looking in control. And how about Brandon Pajinsky, Richard? When he’s given the minutes, he can stuff the stat sheet. Yeah, even when it comes to his rebounding, BA, that’s the result of great heart, great hustle, and great timing. His teammates feed off his energy. One shot. [Applause] And so it’s Phoenix with it. It’s a five-point game. Brooks outside. [Applause] Four on the clock for three. Booker Phoenix no good that time either. And here are the Warriors now. They’re on a 13-4 run. Here’s Hurt defended by Dunn. [Applause] Suns trail by five. All right, let’s check in with Ally Leforce. Steve Kerr gave me a few minutes to catch up with him. As you can imagine, the team spent much of their practice preparing for Devin Booker. Coach said there’s no great way to defend him. He can beat you at the rim, from mid-range, well beyond the arc as well. And on top of all that, he creates for others. Brian Ally, thank you. Pass to Curry. Green with a screen on Booker. Curry’s shot is off. That’s a decent look for him. He just couldn’t convert. Brooks against heel down low and blocked. That one goes careening off the glass. Now here’s Green defended by Pajki. Right side Booker. Second shot opportunity. Oh, and there’s the whistle on the shot. So, two free throws for him coming up. Well, Grant, if you talk about consistent top level scorers, Devin Booker is near the top of that list. Yeah. And going back to the 1718 season, Devin has averaged at least 25 points every year. Book can create his own shot and finish. It’s hard finding guys who can do both. [Applause] That free throw good from Booker. You know, Booker gets a lot of praise for his scoring, but how about his skill as a passer, Richard? Oh, he’s a good decision maker, BA. He’s able to read defenses and dissect them with his passing. He’s shown he can be a traditional quote unquote point guard. [Applause] And it’s tied up with that one. For a star like him, you get lots of opportunities at the line and he’s great at cashing them in. Outside Pajimski pass to Heel. Back to Pajki. Outside Curry. The three is up. Oh, Bucker with a block. And now the Suns fast break. And that one’s good. And Green with the assist. Trading the lead back and forth. Neither side is willing to back down. I’ve been on the edge of my seat courtside. Man, this has been a barn burner. Now here’s Heel. No point so far. Curry with it. Shot to stop the run and it’s good. First late shot in four attempts. How do you stop Curry? Well, in a short answer, you can’t. Healed against Brooks. Over healed and it’s Brooks missing. Golden State has gone two for four from Reigns to start things off. Back to Green. Out to the right wing. Here’s Hurt. Three-pointer off the mark for Phoenix. They’ve gone five of nine from the floor. Brooks and the officials whistle a foul on the shot. The bucket is good and he’ll go to the line. And this is what Brooks loves to do. Attacking the defense and scoring right on them with the foul. And now we get a little perspective here on how the hustle game has been for the Suns. When you pile up the blocks earlier in games, it really can affect the other team. They lose confidence offensively. Something else that stands out is how they’ve gotten out in transition. Their speed has kept the defense on their heels. Warriors trail by three and Steve Kerr calls timeout. He’ll take the opportunity to regroup. [Applause] Heat. [Applause] Heat. [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Applause] [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] pass to Green and so he draws the foul. out headed to the line to shoot a pair. That’s on Mark Williams. Grant, when you look at Draymond Green’s career, you think he’s going to the Hall of Fame. You know, BA, I believe so. He’s won multiple titles and we know how impactful he has been as a defender and distributor, especially. I think we’ll see him in Springfield one day. Free throw good. Green, the quintessential blue guy. Green does all the dirty work. You need one of these guys on your team because he has such a diverse skill set. Both shots good from the strike. [Applause] Phoenix has gone one for three from beyond the arc. Green. The pass to Williams. [Applause] It’s rebounded by Golden State. That’s just the bucket though that you expect him to make. It’s tough when you miss things. Has to hurt. [Applause] The jump hook. Good. Hurts got eight. putting his body to work in the paint. Butler using his athletic skills to get it done. Be the pass to Dun. Back to Beal. [Applause] The shot comes out. Nice D from Moody. The Warriors leading to the inside. And that one’s good. Green. Green’s got his second basket of the game. Good luck against Green inside. Even when you throw contact at him, he just fights twice as hard. Field the pass to Green. Majimsky grabs the board. The Warriors lead by three. Here’s Hurt. Give him eight points now. And now we’re good. 10 points for him. Wanting it more. Butler beating good defense. Jimmy’s such a fiery guy. field. The pass to Williams. That’s tipped. It’s stolen by Green in transition. Here they come. And it’s hammered home by Green. You can really feel the momentum swinging in their direction. Yeah, but they can’t relax. They got to keep building on this lead because it is not safe. Phoenix calls timeout. And as we head into this break, the players have an opportunity to replenish their energy with Gatorade as they prepare to go into the final stages of this ball game. Absolutely. Over the course of a game, not to mention over the course of a season, you have to stay hydrated. If you don’t, it’s amazing how much slower your body is to bounce back. It can have a serious effect on performance. No question. [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Applause] Phoenix making some changes. Richards has checked in for Williams. O’Neal comes in for Dunn. And it’s Allen in for Brooks. [Applause] Allen. The pass to O’Neal. Outside Green. He buries it from three. Green’s got 10. For Jaylen Green to be an allstar level guy, he’s got to knock down those threes. Pass to Hurt. It’s hauled in by the Suns for three. Allen missed it. Now 0 for one in this game. The Warriors lead by four. Here’s Hurt. Pounded by Beal [Applause] to the paint. Here’s Hurt. And the foul is called. He missed it. So, he’s got a couple of free throws coming his way. It’s going to be on Nick Richards. Fearless play from Butler. Defenses should know he’s going to try and draw a foul while shooting. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. [Applause] First one falls for him. Santos has checked in for the Warriors. So he gets them both. And so it’s Beal who brings up the ball for Phoenix. They trail by six. Pass to Green [Applause] inside. Oh, a great one-two punch. Beautiful pass and a nasty jam. It’s hard to know what Karina is going to do in these sets. He uses that unpredictability pretty much to his advantage, though. Here’s her. He’s got 12. And there’s the lob and the lead increases on a crazy offensive sequence. Man, the dunk alone would have been incredible. Let alone the fact that it came off a pinpoint pass. Green. The pass to Beal. [Applause] And that comes off the assist by Green. Green’s got six assists in the game. Let me tell you, Beal is crafty. He will figure out a way to get inside. Now here’s Moody yet to see a basket. Hurt. It’s tipped outside. Green. Ooh, took him no time at all to get that one. Now just a two-point Warrior lead. Coach has to be pleased with what Green is doing out there. Playing with a ton of energy on the offensive end. Pass to Santos. Now here’s Moody. Green covering. Now Jackson Davis just five on the clock. No good. 35 seconds left now in the first quarter. And they’ve been producing at a high level. No question. They’re in a nice rhythm offensively. The defense gets physical with Green inside. So he uses his agility to get around. Here’s Hurt. He’s got 12. Pass to Moody. Now here’s Jackson Davis. Tight defense on him. [Applause] Here’s Hurt. Lets it go from deep and post gets it to go. And the Warriors lead by three. Impressive offensive versatility for Big. He can show you a variety of looks. Jimmy Butler getting it done for Golden State. He made a big impact, scoring 12 points in the quarter. And don’t go far. We’ll be right back. [Applause] And getting it going again here in the second quarter. Fairly close game so far. And a chance for a moment to check out the scoring breakdown for the Warriors. So far, they haven’t had to force anything. They’re swinging the ball around and turning good passing into points. And also, I like how they’ve let it fly from the three-point line, shooting with confidence so far in this one. And we’re joined now by Shams Cheria. He’s calling in with a story. Good to have you, Shams. What’s going on? Thanks. Many consider this summer to be the most challenging field in the history of international basketball. Nevertheless, Team USA got it done in Paris. It’s not getting any easier, but the star power of the US men’s team shine bright in the city of lights. Guys, a classic ending for a stack US roster. What a performance. Shams Trania with the report. Thanks, Shams. Moses Moody out there with Stephen Curry. Then it’s Trace Jackson Davis. And it’s Santos in at the three. So that’s the group out there for Golden State. Phoenix has gotten three of their seven threes to find the net in this matchup. Pass to O’Neal. Back to Beal. Up top, Booker. Shoots. A chance there to take the lead, but a miss. The Warriors shooting a nice 50% for the game. Gives us a chance to catch up with Alli Leforce. Well guys, the Suns are going for it. Allstar guard Devin Booker said, “Everybody here is on the same page. We’re in win now mode. We want excellence. We know it’s not going to be easy, but when you give up that much, we’re trying to win this year and years to come. Brian, this front office has been aggressive. They are all in. Ally, thank you. Booker showing some power. Booker’s gone 50% from the field. Three out of six. Pass to Jackson Davis. Now Curry. Booker defending. Curry against Booker. Shoots. Oh, nice job in the paint from Curry. The better shooter you are, the quicker you become. Curry makes it so hard to guard him in these little moments. He slips past the defense. O’Neal with it. Jackson Davis on him. O’Neal passes to Booker. Booker drawing the double. Now Beal takes the three. That one misses. He’s one for three now. Moody. Still no points. Pass to Santos. Moody with it. [Applause] And here’s Jackson Davis from deep three-point land. And Booker pulls it down. It’s never easy from that distance, but we see him drill those and shoot around all the time. Even though he is capable of hitting that shot, I’d like to see him work for a better look in that situation. The Warriors have gone two of four here in the second quarter. Pass to Curry from downtown. Curry with another miss. The Suns trailing. outside. Booker to the middle and Beal with the basket on the assist from Booker. Booker’s got three assists now in this one. Oh wow, guys, this does not look good. We’ve got an injury here. And man, this really doesn’t look good. Just the way it happened. And you know it’s serious if he’s heading to the locker room. It takes a lot to get him out of any game. Here’s Curry. Allen defending outside. Moody. Let’s go with a three. Oh, Moody deadly from there. I know what they say, defense wins championships, but you need some bucket getters, too. Now surveying the D pass to Booker. The wide open shot is on the money. Booker’s got seven points here in the quarter. Throw out those analytics when Booker is taking a 15 20footer. That’s a great look for him and his squad. Moody on the wing pounded by Beal. Six on the shot clock. Jackson Davis. Richards pulls it in. The Suns have gone four for seven in the second quarter. Beal gets the bucket. Beal’s got six. Outstanding ball handling by Beal. Just carving up the deep. You know, over Bradley Beal’s career, he succeeded in a few different roles. RJ. Yeah. He played with a ball dominant guy. Then he became the sole star on his team. And now he’s playing with multiple stars. Evolution is a part of success and Bradley Beal is doing it. Cody good. Already seven lead changes. These teams are really going after each other. It’s been a brutal game to play, but a fun one to watch. Now here’s O’Neal. Hasn’t gotten one to fall yet. Pass to Beal. The Warriors pull it in. Jackson Davis has got four rebounds in the game. [Applause] Outside Moody here’s Santos over to the wing beyond the arc. Richards pulls it in. Phoenix has gone one of two from deep in the second quarter. Allen. Yes. And it’s Booker with the setup. Allen’s got his first basket. Continuing to get better at facilitating Booker with a dime. Golden State has gone two of six from distance here in the second quarter. Outside Curry from the arc and it’s Phoenix with a rebound. It’s Booker on the wing. He’s covered by Curry. Booker no good. Outside Curry. [Applause] Pounded by Beal and he lobbs it up. A beautiful setup on the alley. Great catch. Great flush for Phoenix. They’ve gone six of 11 here in the second quarter. Pass to Booker. [Applause] Oh, some contact there. No issue for Booker though. When you come out to an NBA game, that’s what you want to see. Devin Booker putting on a show and Steve Kerr calls timeout here. We might see him looking to make some tweaks to the strategy here. And something fans don’t always get to see some of the closely guarded secrets that happen in that huddle. And we see it so often. One little tweak to the game plan and everything falls into place for a team. [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Applause] Heat. Heat. Heat. [Applause] Heat. [Applause] And a new group getting ready for the Suns. Mark Williams, he’s checked in for Richards. Dunn comes in for O’Neal. Dylan Brooks checked in for Allen. And Green is subbed in for Beal. [Applause] up top of Jimsky. Fires from 14 and it’s Phoenix for the rebound. Williams has got rebound number five here tonight. All right, time for an injury report. Hi guys, the athletic trainer for the Warriors provided some info for us. He said they’re concerned this is a serious injury and it’s going to keep him out of the rotation. It sounds like we won’t be seeing him back on the floor anytime soon. This is a tough loss. Okay, Ally, thank you. Boy, this injury definitely looks like it could be serious, guys. Here’s hoping it’s not, but yeah, this team may have to get used to playing without him for a bit. And you just hate to see any injury, but potentially a serious one like this breaks your heart. Curry surveys heel. The screen on Booker from deep three-point land. Curry shot is off. He’s cold from distance here in the second quarter. May want to try a different approach moving forward. Oh, look at Book with the focus. Musling his way through the contact. Love the edge that Booker plays with. outside heel three-pointer nails it from beyond the arc and the Warriors lead by one. Oh man, this has been an absolute battle in the first half. Each team trying to establish itself. The lead just keeps going back and forth. Now here’s Green. 16 points for him. He can get it done off the dribble or off the catch. Green is just a flat out shooter. Curry passes to Green. Back to Curry. [Applause] 17 ft shot on the way. And the Warriors tack on two more. Found some space to get off the mid-range. And he’ll do damage from there if you let him. Here’s Booker. Oh, plenty of contact on that shot. Officials call the foul and he’ll take two free throws now. What a tricky play by Booker using the pump fake to draw the defender and win the foul. This is his second trip to the line in the game. [Applause] and he drops it first. This is who you want at the line. And Booker gets himself there a lot. And the Warriors making a switch here. Moody’s checked in. And the Suns also making a change. Beal’s checked in. [Applause] Both free throws good from Booker. The Warriors trailing. [Applause] It’s Pajimky on the wing. Booker defending. Williams against Green. Here’s Hurt. Ooh, he took a hard foul on the shot. So he’ll head to the line to shoot a pair. Playing with passion, Butler is never scared of a challenge. A wing who battles inside. He’s got free throw attempts four and five here. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. [Applause] And the first one at the line is good. And the Suns making a change here. Green has checked in. And that one goes in two from the line that time. And so it’s Phoenix with it. Brooks outside. Back to Booker. Oh, Booker in close. Plays hard in every facet of the game. Nothing that Booker can’t do. And the Warriors shooting 42% in the second quarter. Green against Williams. Green. A screen down low. Green gets up and powers it down. Look at how effectively Green uses his body, disrupting the defense with the screen and making room for himself. Booker pass to Williams. [Applause] Back to Booker. 43. The rebound by Moody. He didn’t make them pay for that weak defense, but they just can’t rely on him to miss those kind of shots. Heel finds Green. Here’s Hurt. [Applause] Shot clock at five. Doubled by Dunn. Moody from outside. Count it. All three of his attempts have gone in. The three-point shot has been his weapon of choice this quarter. Outside Green pass to Booker. Lets it fly from 18. And it’s Booker again missing. That’s the shot they wanted. It just didn’t fall. Tough to watch those miss. I’m sure they’ll convert the next chance. Outside Pajki now Moody. Here’s the three. Williams grabs the board. Williams has got rebound number eight here already in the game. [Applause] Pass to Green. Booker with it [Applause] to the middle. Here’s Williams. Yes. And it’s Booker with the setup. That’s been the story of their offense so far. Getting a number of looks from point blank range. The Warriors leading. They set the pick. And here’s Heield to the inside. Here’s Green. Misfires there. Four for six in the game now. Two for one opportunity if they can time it right. Great way to end the quarter. And Williams punches it home. Making sure of it with the two-hand slam, BA. Yeah, I don’t blame him. With the score this tight, you cannot take a chance here inside. He floats it in for the easy two. Credit the sweet setup on that one. Scoring close in. He is more than just a three-point gunner. We’ve got a 9second difference between the shot clock and game clock. I like that. I mean, some physical play inside. He’s not about to give up any easy baskets. This will be his third trip to the free throw line. [Applause] [Applause] The first free throw is good. [Applause] both free throws good from Booker. And so it’s Green who brings up the ball for the Warriors. Pass to Heel. Now here’s Moody. 15 seconds left in the second quarter. And he got the whistle on the way up, so he’ll be headed to the line for a pair. He’s made all five of his attempts at the line. And what a great first half he’s had at the free throw line. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. That free throw no good. [Applause] And the second free throw is good. Now here’s Booker. He’s got 21. The three. Can’t hit that one. It’s a tie game in the Bay Area. And we’ll be back with you shortly. Heat. [Applause] [Applause] Heat. [Applause] [Music] [Music] We’ve got second half action for you. And if the next couple of quarters are similar to the first, this one could go down to the last possession. Boy, we’re seeing a tremendous game from Devin Booker. They’ve leaned on him to provide a lot of offense, and that’s how he likes it. He always wants to be a go-to guy for them. I’m sure he’ll be calling for the ball even more in this half. Well, the Suns shooting 56% today. And so in the game for the Suns, they’ve got Devin Booker, also green out there. Dylan Brooks is out there with Mark Williams. And it’s done in a power forward. Here’s Booker. It’s good. And he drew contact on the shot, so he will go to the line. A three-point play opportunity. He’s gone six of six from the line tonight. [Applause] Behind the lanes. Find the lanes. One shot. [Applause] Warriors trail by three. Outside Green. Oh, a clear foul there on the missed shot. So, he’ll get a pair at the line. That’s on Mark Williams. the game of green. It’s about testing the defense, finding their weak spots. He’s gone two for two at the line so far. That free throw misses. [Applause] He hits the second from the line. And here are the Suns now. The lead is two. Outside Green. Williams with the screen. Look at Green showing off his range. And this is how he shines. He’s a big part of their floor spacing. Yeah, you got to know where he is at all times, especially when he’s roaming around the perimeter ready to fire. Fires from 14. And there it is for him. Her got 17. Second half of basketball. Just over a minute played so far. Hooker the pass to Dunn. on the wing. Green defended by Pajki. Brooks from outside. Here’s Williams. Warriors with the rebound. The three from Curry. Money. Stephen Curry. The three-point king. And when Curry is shooting while in rhythm, he is lights out. Nothing you can do to stop him. Outside Green. to the paint. Here’s Brooks and he throws it down with one hand. And plays like that one can make the difference in a close game. And it definitely got the bench on their feet, too. And you can feel the jolt of energy that he sent through his team. That is a huge boost in a tight game like this. Now here’s Green. He’s got 11. They walk up two there. Curry’s got five points in the quarter. Well, Draymond has a special talent for setting guys up, especially for his position. And it’s Green with the ball for the Phoenix Suns. A little under two and a half minutes gone by in the third quarter. Here’s Booker. And that one’s good. And Green with the assist. Green’s got nine assists in the game. Great passing. Has to hurt. Oh, Curry just weaving his way through traffic. Still knocks it in. In a tight game, they wanted to make sure of that possession. Phoenix has gone one of two shooting from the perimeter since halftime. Brooks, the pass to Green. Don outside. And here’s Booker. [Applause] Another one falls for Phoenix. This is Booker’s role. He is consistent at looking for his own shot. The Warriors have gone four of four in this third quarter. Perfect so far. And out of bounds, the Suns will take it. The Suns have gotten five of seven attempts in the third quarter. Pass to Green. Brooks outside. There’s the triple. Knocks down the triple. And now a five-point Phoenix lead. And he’s much more comfortable shooting off a pass. Brooks with a nice shot outside. Pajki now. Heel. This one for three. Williams grabs the board. Williams has got rebound number 10 tonight with that last one. Here’s Brooks. Hurt pulls it in. The Warriors shooting has been good around 52% from the field. Green up top. Williams defending the three from Curry. He drops it from range. Curry’s got 10 points now just in this quarter. When Curry gets a look that’s good, he is automatic. There is almost no stopping him. Healed against Brooks. Now here’s Booker. He’s covered closely. Outstanding initiative from Booker. Terrific at earning these calls inside. And a moment here to take a look at the scoring breakdown for Phoenix. Look, they’re getting good looks inside. It’s been a point of emphasis all night long, but I love this hard-nosed attitude of this team. Yeah, they’ve also done a great job of running, attacking when they get the chance. Always a great idea. And he knocks down the first one. [Applause] He’s perfect from the line this time. Warriors trail by four. Pass to Pajimsky. Here’s Hurt. Defended by Dunn. Heels for three. Rebounded by Dunn. Just terrible defense. I don’t know how he missed that shot. Outside. Booker. Uses the glass on the layup. Booker’s got 11 in the second half. We know Book can hit those deep threes, but he’s also effective around the rim. Curry passes to Heield. Here’s Hurt and a miss there on the triple. Phoenix leading by six [Applause] outside. Green [Applause] outside. Booker and there’s a whistle. He’ll head to the line to shoot two. And Booker is so active on offense which really forces the D to act with aggression at times. He’s been getting to the line now his sixth trip. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. First free throw is good. Jackson Davis has checked in for the Warriors. Moody comes in for Curry. And the Suns also making a change. O’Neal’s checked in. [Applause] Both good from the line that time. Warriors trail by eight. And Steve Kerr calls timeout here. A moment to rest and confer on the game plan. Nice game. Great performance by Devin Booker. This timeout gives them a chance to strategize because whatever the game plan they have, it’s not working. Heat. Heat. [Applause] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Applause] [Applause] Outside Moody pass to Pajimsky. Here’s Green. Here’s Hurt. Brooks defending. Boom. Three for Jimmy. Unselfish offense leads to Butler getting something in rhythm. Brooks outside. Back to Booker. Up and in from the low block. Booker’s got 15 points here in the second half. And man, is he in a zone right now. Seems like he can’t miss. Jackson Davis with screen. The shot by Pajimky. No good. Phoenix leading by seven. Green in the post. Moody defends and the rebound goes to the Warriors. Jackson Davis has got six rebounds now in the game. Inside, here’s Green. Excellent D there from O’Neal. Phoenix has gone two of three from outside so far in the third quarter. Brooks outside. Williams with the screen to the inside. Another [Applause] shot and count the basket. He was fouled and he’s going to the line for one more. He’s getting his first free throw attempt of the game here. [Applause] One shot. and Williams no good on that one. And it’s Green with the ball for the Warriors. They trail by nine. Oh, a flawless finish on the lob. Nice timing on the pass from Green finding the open guy with ease. Phoenix is shooting the rock at 58%. Green with the ball. He’s got 22. Left side Booker. Oh, the slam. Get up, Devin. And with this skill, you kind of forget that Booker is 6’5 and can get to the rim with ease. Here’s her. Brooks defending. Here’s Moody. The shot that time not on target. Green with the defensive effort. Brooks outside and rejected and the Warriors pushing it up now. But Jimsky shot is good. But Jimsky’s got seven points in the game. Transition basketball. The most reliable way to generate easy looks. Yeah, when you hustle on the break like he does, good things tend to happen. And that one drops. And the Suns lead by nine. Operation feed the horse. Feed him early and often. And guess what? It’s working. They have the lead. Shoots from 14. No good. Off the glass. And so it’s Phoenix with it. They lead by the biggest margin of the game at nine. Oh, and he got fouled on his way up. He’ll head to the line to shoot two. Trace Jackson Davis picks one up. Just relentless off the drive. Booker is so strong. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. [Applause] He makes a first. Santos has checked in for Green. And a change for the Suns. Richards has checked in for Williams. [Applause] Both free throws good from Booker. Here’s Hurt. 20 points for him. They’ve got plenty of time to get back into this. Yeah, I’m sure they feel pressed, but this is when you have to stay calm and execute. Let’s go now to the sideline and catch up with Alli Leaf Force. When it comes to winning big, basketball, acumen is the difference. LeBron James said, quote, “In the final two rounds of the playoffs, it’s deficit for eight teams is IQ.” There’s moments in the game that a coach can’t prepare you for. Where you have to make adjustments right away. It’s not experience, it’s IQ. He would know, Ally. Thanks. Now, here’s Richards Brooks outside. Down to five on the shot clock. [Music] Oh, ripped away. Moody on the wing. Down low. Ball stolen. Here’s Green. Jimmy Butler with a rebound. Warriors trail by eight. Pass to Pajimsky and a foul called on the way up. So he’ll take two from the free throw line. Man, good whistle there. [Applause] He misses the free throw. Beal. He’s checked in for Phoenix. [Applause] And he sinks the second. The Suns lead by seven. Here’s Booker. He’s got 42. Shot is up and the rebound goes to the Warriors. 157 left in the third. Butler so crafty around the rim. Yeah, an assertive move there by Butler shaking off his defender and finding the bucket. Pass to Booker, lets it fly. Jackson Davis grabs a miss. Jackson Davis has got seven rebounds in the game. Here’s Santos. [Applause] 125 left to play in the third quarter here. Hurt. Excellent D there from O’Neal. Phoenix has gone two of three from outside so far in the third quarter. A nice shot by Booker. Blink and that ball is already gone. Booker is ridiculous with the quick release. Warriors trail by seven. Here’s Hurt. 25 points in the game from the strike. Oh, good work on the interior from Butler. And it’s Green with the ball for the Suns. Pass to Richards. Now here’s Booker. Fires the three, sinks the tray. Booker’s got 47 points. Shoots the lights out. Booker has limitless range. Now here’s Pajki. Booker defending three-pointer. Jackson Davis down low. Richards is there. Jackson Davis misses. Got to applaud the defensive effort. It’s not easy to stop him getting in the lane like that. Outside Booker. [Applause] There’s the three. The shot no good. And so it’s the Phoenix Suns finishing the quarter with an eight-point lead. And it’s mostly due to their superb shooting. They’ve wasted very few possessions. All right, stick around. We’ll be right back after this. [Applause] And while we have a chance, let’s go to our State Farm assist of the game. Woo! I’m fired up to see this dish one more time. It’s always great to see your two guards share the wealth. Not just playing selflessly, but also making a smart decision with the ball. With three quarters behind us, let’s see what this fourth period holds in store. We’ve got Trace Jackson Davis. Moody is out there with Stephen Curry. And it’s Santos in at the fourman position. So that’s the group out there for Golden State. Outside Moody back to Curry. Clock at six. Puts it up from the high post. Richards pulls it in. Richards has got rebound number five here tonight. Here’s Booker. It’s good. Only a few seconds into the shot clock. Booker’s got 49 in the game. [Music] [Applause] Now Moody pass to Santos. [Applause] And here’s Curry. Lets the three fly. That shot off the mark. Man, that’s his shot. Maybe he was too wide open. Outside Booker now. Here’s Bo. Here’s Igdaro. And here’s Richards. It’s deflected and he’s able to get it back and he recovers it for three. Booker and another one. That’s 52 points for him. Making it all look too easy right now. We’ve gone about a minute and a half into this fourth quarter. Allen defending and he’ll draw the foul. He’ll head to the line for two. And even from where we’re sitting, you could clearly tell it was a foul. [Applause] And he drops a first. And he can’t hit the second. Grayson Allen’s shooting gets a lot of attention, Richard, but his efficiency is also impressive. No, it’s his shooting and efficiency that causes problems for defenses. When he’s on the floor, there will be much more space for everyone else to work. Now, here’s Moody. Curry. He’s open. Cash money on the open jump shot. Curry’s got 12 points in just the second half. What focus from Curry on offense so far. Doing everything he can to provide a lift for his squad. Here’s Igadaro. Pass to Booker. Shoots over Curry. Nice jump shot from the top of the key. Booker’s got 54 points. That’s the kind of shot this offensive scheme is meant to produce. Curry with it from outside the ark. Sends it home from three-point lane. You can’t lose a shooter like him on the court. The ball will find its way to him and he will drill a three each time. Right side Booker and that’s off the glass and in. Booker’s got nine points in the quarter. Booker with one of the most effortless strokes you’ll ever see. Around 3 minutes gone here in the fourth. Curry shot is off. The Suns lead by 11. Pass to Beal outside Booker. The three is up. That one falls coming off Beal’s feed. Beal’s got three assists now in this one. Good eyes, Bradley Beal. That’s a nice setup there. [Music] [Applause] Now here’s Jackson Davis. Allen defending outside. Curry. The three ball. Unanswered three from Curry. What a response from Curry. I know he’s coming for his revenge. Pass to Richards. Back to Beal. Outside Booker. A little mid-range. Shot is up and good. There’s another make that 61 points. Everything is going his way right now. Here’s Santos. Jackson Davis’s screen. Another three for Golden State. So challenging to guard and pick and roll. Curry excels at exploiting the defense and defense. And he takes that one up and powers it through. His play making is something to watch. Threading that pass right in there. Now here’s Moody. Allen defending. chops in the layup for two. This has been the story of the game. A battle fought on offense. Yeah, but I think it’s going to come down to who can get the stops down the stretch because that’s who’s going to come away with this one. Hooker. The Warriors pull it in. Booker defending as to Santos. And here’s Curry. Fires for three. doesn’t go for him. [Applause] Now here’s Booker. Tightly guarded. Takes it inside. Debbook. Good through contact. Boy, Booker has so many ways to beat you on that offensive end. [Applause] Curry with it. Fires the three on target from range. Curry’s got 32 points in the game. It took him a bit to get going, but he’s really got that three working now. Richards pass to Beiel. Booker against Curry and he’s going to the line for two. The officials saw contact while he was going up. It’s on Stephen Curry. No debate there. He got hammered. [Applause] Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. The first one falls. Both free throws good from Booker. Warriors trail by 11. Curry passes to Green. Here’s Hurt. [Applause] goes up with the strike and he gets the kind bounce as that one drops in. Her got 14 points now in the second half. What’s the saying? 80% of success is just showing up and guess what? Butler shows up every night. [Applause] Williams finds Green off target from three-point range. The Warriors have gone seven for 11 so far in the fourth. Pass to Curry. And here’s Moody. Pounded by Beal now. Curry. Four on the clock. Back to Pajimski. Williams grabs the board. Williams has got 14. Yep. 14 rebounds for him tonight. Here’s Brooks. That one’s in there on the nice assist from Beal. Beal’s got his fifth assist in this one. A throwback wing. Dylan Brooks is very comfortable working down low. Now here’s Pajki. Pass to Hurt. So it’ll be two free throws. He was fouled in the active shooting. Well, that was clearly a foul. [Applause] First one falls for him. Fields checked in for the Warriors. Done. He’s checked in for the Suns. Good on both. So it’s Phoenix now outside Green to Booker from 12 ft and yes it goes. Got a little English on that one. A sometimes underrated playmaker. Green showing good patience and vision. Now Curry and again it’s the Warriors missing outside. Green [Applause] Williams in the post. Green covering. Williams passes to Dunn. Just five to shoot. Here’s Booker. Hits yet again. Wow. Oh, he’s been absolutely ridiculous in this game. NBA, it feels like he can’t miss. Has to hurt. Done with a steal. And here is Green. It’s Booker on the wing. Oh, another one falls. 71 points and no end in sight. He’s in the zone. The defense looks helpless. Outside heel. [Applause] Back to Curry. Excellent D there from Booker. Phoenix leading by 15. Green with a screen on Curry for three. Booker gets rebounded by Golden State. Green’s got his sixth rebound on the night outside. Pajki on the wing. Curry. Green covering. Shoots over Booker. Oh, look at Green inside. Oh, what a crafty move causing the defender to pause right there. And it’s Green with the ball for the Suns. 13-point lead. Pass to Brooks. Green against Williams. Off target from the baseline. Golden State has gone four of eight from three-point land during the fourth. Brooks, the pass to Booker. and he banks in the layup and the Suns lead by 15. Absolutely ruthless. He’s not about to start showing mercy now. This is what you expect from him. Just coming alive and dominating in effortless fashion here in the fourth. Now here’s Curry. Six to shoot. Launches it. Williams grabs the board. And this is exactly who you want taking that shot. He just missed it. Hooker for three. Rebounded by Heel. The Warriors shooting an even 50% since the fourth quarter got underway. A minute and a half left to play in the fourth quarter of this one. Here’s Hurt defended by Dunn. hurt. No good. And the shooter had very little space on that attempt. I’m sure they’ll think twice about shooting against him next time. And they were really able to find the mismatches they wanted and exploit those all night. Great execution from the players and coaching staff for the Suns. We talk about the importance of making free throws. Tonight being the perfect example. Yeah, BA. They found ways to get to the line and then they made him count. And even the opposing fans can’t deny this was a sensational game for Devin Booker. Anytime they needed a bucket, they’d put the ball in his hands and say, “Go make a play.” It was impressive to watch. And you never want to give a shooter like him a clean look. Pass to Williams outside. Booker goes up on the wing. Done outside. Outside Green. Booker fires from way outside and that one’s good. And Green with the assist. Oh, the ever expanding range of Devin Booker making you pick him up pretty much at half court. [Applause] Curry against Booker. Here’s Curry. So, no problem for Phoenix as they get the win. A statement road victory. So impressive. Statement indeed. Ba. It was an enemy territory, but they controlled the game and took the crowd completely out of it. That’s how you win on the road. Well folks, that’s going to do it for now for Alli Leforce, Grant Hill, and Richard Jefferson. This is Brian Anderson thanking you for watching the NBA presented by 2K Sports.
