  1. I wrote this comment on a different post but it relates to what Goran said about pushing the ball and playing at a fast pace:

    >The Heat are one of the slowest teams in the league, ranking 27th in pace. Watching a 280-pound player push the tempo for both the Nuggets (8th in pace) and the Serbian national team shows how much faster and more dynamic the offense runs.

    >Also look at the actions Serbia runs for Niko—and, even more importantly, the quality of their shot selection. Niko is getting a lot of his shots of seals and fast breaks.

    >Spo is still the best coach, and he is friends with the Serbian team head coach.

    >But I bet Spo is watching Serbia and continuing to learn to bring a more egalitarian style of offense to the Heat.

And to add to this, one of the reasons we were among the slowest teams is because our offense revolved around Jimmy. He’s a slow, methodical player, which is still valuable—especially when the game slows down in the playoffs—but we can’t afford to only thrive only when the game slows down. As the game evolves, being an elite defensive team Alone isn’t enough like it was 3–4 years ago. The Heat need to adapt offensively so we’re no longer stuck in the bottom third of the league in offensive ratings. We need a faster pace and a more high-octane style of offense.

Of course we need the personnel improve in this area. I think with Tyler and Bam getting his mojo back, along with Powell, Niko and Wiggins, we can at least be middle of the pack.

  2. Goran telling us all that it’s Jovic season and it’s Jover for the rest of the league! 🔥
