  1. Dude was a hell of a third baseman. So many people ragged on him at the time because he had 20+ errors that year if I remember correctly and always seemed to hover around that level, but it was obvious from the eyeball test that he was absolutely class defensively.

  2. Nasty 3rd baseman. I do remember he wasn’t the best hitter, but not everyone can be Cabrera

  3. I never understood old people in my family getting super sentimental about the 68 team but then here I am watching Inge highlights and all of a sudden I’m right back there watching baseball with my grandpa. And then I snap out of it and I’m teary eyed at planet fitness.

  4. Funny story…I once was driving next to him on 75 South leaving Detroit. Brandon was with his family driving a mini van. Interaction went as expected, me waving and him smiling, giving me a thumbs up when I showed him my Tigers hat. lol…super cheesy. Got to meet him one time at Comerica too, super nice to fans.

  5. Detroit Legend.

Also hilarious how you show one clip and it’s Rod getting something wrong. That guy was something else lmao

  6. The pride of Saline Michigan (I know he’s from VA, but he lived in Saline). We all under-appreciated him for the Tigers. His HR Derby performance really poisoned the well, he had an “always strikes out” legacy. Everyone wanted him to be someone he wasn’t. He was never going to be a plus power hitter at 5’11” 190. I wish he had some more plate discipline and walked a little more. He could have been a Brandon Crawford clone if he was just a little more polished.

  7. What was Sean Casey made of? His body had all its parts never agreeing on which way to go at the same time.

  8. Inge remains the most underrated defensive third baseman that I’ve ever seen play. The errors he would get, no other third baseman would have been charged with, because they wouldn’t have even touched the ball. Say what you want about his streaky hitting (though he did have a knack for late inning HR’s) but Brandon Inge was an absolute ELITE defender at third.

  9. He was an elite defender period. He made his way catching also. Dude had an absolute laser for an arm.

  10. The irony how this team could desperately use Inge right now. He had the ability to be a plus hitter and we know he would be a top 3 defensive 3rd baseman in the game today. Of course if he’s in his 20s
