BREAKING: Sharks Acquire Carey Price’s Contract From Canadiens
The San Jose Sharks have acquired Carrie Price and more importantly his contract from the Montreal Canadians. I’m JD Young of Locked on Sharks and the Sharks send defensive prospect Genanon Lorac to the Montreal Canadians in exchange for Carrie Price and his $10.5 million AAV contract uh and a receive a 2026 fifth round pick as well. Um the Sharks who were looking to add some more buffer from the cap floor. uh get Carrie Price’s contract and a fifth round pick which might be a little bit light uh in exchange as the Canadians get more cap flexibility as they look to continue to improve their roster. So weren’t they suppose to get rid of two contracts to be able to sign Misa? By taking Price and trading Laroque the number of contracts is a wash 🤷🏼♂️
Of the only reason this trade was pulled off was to sigm Misa then I understand but I don't like helping the Canadiens with their cap hit one bit.
The other reason to grab this contract is we can move skinner and Klingberg at the TD and not worry about the cap floor
Great, he should have been traded years ago, i'm sure we got a better player for him. Yeay. 😅😂😅
