It’s been a while since I’ve done a Spurs video, and this is definitely not the one I wanted to do on my return. What is up, San Antonio Spurs fans? Welcome to TSR Sports. Hope you’ve been well. Hope you had a great Friday. Well, we got some breaking news. Thank you, Phil, for sending to this to me via the Twitters. Dylan Harper was apparently injured the other day and just had surgery today. We got the report from Shanty Reports. San Antonio Spurs number two pick Dylan Harper underwent surgery Friday to repair a partially torn ligament in his left thumb that he suffered in a workout Wednesday and the hope is Harp will be ready for the season opener October 22nd in Dallas sources tell ESPN this has also been confirmed on San Antonio Express News they dig just maybe a little bit deeper Harper 19 suffered a partial tear of the collateral ligament in his left thumb during an offseason workout at the Spurs practice facility Wednesday, two days later, i.e. today, Harper’s allimportant shooting hand. Yes, he is left-handed, one under the knife. His official NBA debut in limbo. Short article because this news is breaking, guys, ladies and gentlemen. I don’t think he’s been ready to go for the season. I’m trying to be as optimistic as possible, but surgery on your shooting hand, and isn’t this very similar to what Darren Fox just had? I mean, the season starts in what about six weeks, give or take. He’s going to miss training camp. He’s he’s not going to partake in preseason. This is a horrible way to start this next season that so many of us are hopeful for. A lot of us, at least me, and I know a lot of you are saying 50 wins, playoffs, and sure, I don’t think he was going to be a huge part of the team success coming off the bench, but I didn’t think he was going to contribute in some way. And now, before he even steps on the court this season, he gets injured in practice. practice. Man, I I’m at a loss for words. I really, you know, I was hoping Darren Fox would be good to go for this for the season start and it seemed like he was good to go. WBY obviously had that huge scare back in February. Looks like all signs point to he’s good didn’t go. And now our number two overall pick has surgery on his shooting hand, which that’s a huge concern for me. He’ll probably be okay. medical, you know, medical science, all that stuff today is far beyond what it was 20 years ago, 40 years ago, etc. Put on your shooting hand, gonna miss training camp, preseason. Let me ask you this, guys, as you might be getting this news for the first time, and I’m a little stunned and shocked. This is not what again, not what I expected. Was not expecting to do a video tonight at all, but here we are. Do you think he’ll be good to go? Do you see him being ready to go 100% on o October 22nd when we play I believe it’s the Mavericks big match up Cooper flag versus Dylan Harper. I don’t think he’s ready till November sometime in November. Whatever the Spurs do proceed with caution and I’m sure they will. They’re not going to rush him back. Our Spurs are a very smart organization. They’re not going to take their number two overall pick and just all right seems like he’s good to go and rush him out there. Absolutely not. Which is why I don’t think we’ll see him until November. I’m going to guess at least two months before it touches the basketball, which would be November 5th. So, probably miss the first eight or 10 games, give or take. If he is good to go, then hey, that’s great. We’ll be rooting for him to not get injured again. But, I do think this is going to be a little while before we see him. There’s been a lot of other news going on. Uh the Kawhi Leonard stuff. I haven’t touched it on the channel yet. Also, because we don’t know all the facts yet and that’s something that’s uh it’s a big story and I don’t want to if I do report on it. I think I’d rather report when we know the whole story before jumping jumping into things. As far as the NFL, I did plan to do a short on the Cowboys and Eagles last night and then that game got delayed well like forever and I’m like it’s getting late. I got to work in the morning. Whoever wins wins and the second half didn’t seem like it was very interesting. But let’s circle back to our Spurs. Your level of concernment on a scale of 1 to 10. 10 being the most concerned. One, it’ll be good. He’s young. I don’t know. Quick video today. Wanted to drop this news if you haven’t caught it. It sucks again that this is the first video in over a week. Got a report on the Spurs news. And this this is huge news. This is I’m trying not to make a mountain out of a whole molehill, but this does really concern me, especially with the season right around the corner. season starts next about what a month from now we got preseason. I’m going to try to go to live for every single regular season game if I can and probably most of the preseason. And uh wow. Um sorry this is our first video back in a while. September will probably be slow. Still a quick channel update since I haven’t talked to you guys in a while. Probably do some Yankee shorts here and there when I can. Certainly be watching the Giants this Sunday. So that’s, you know, high priority. Watch the Giants and do a short if they win or lose, whatever happens there. try to lightly cover the the Cowboys and Eagles and Commanders moving forward. And the music stuff is still in the works. The Yankee song is done, but I want to let Miss TSR hear it before I decide to put a video to it. But I do have a Yankee Sting song done and it’s a rap song. So, there’s that. Plenty more couple Spur songs in the works. The documentaries I’ve talked about, one of you asked about it. Time’s real tight right now. Uh really, I’m just enjoying the time off because I know I’m going to get very busy starting next month. I’m really enjoying the comic book channel right now for those of you that those videos are long over there. They’re all lately a half hour or more. So, it is what it is.
