A Phillies fan retrieves a home run ball, while a woman nearby is upset that she didn’t get it

  1. That dude should absolutely not have taken the ball from his kid to give it to that weirdo.

  2. And she is a Phillies fan too. Great representation. 🙄 Marlins staff were great to that kid….props to them!

  3. I swear some fans become so irrational over essentially a souvenir. He got the ball fairly, she was way out of line.

  4. People need to stop allowing and tolerating this behavior from losers like her. She should be dragged through the internet over the weekend. The dad should have put himself between her and his son with his back towards her and ignored her. If she wanted the ball that bad she should have caught it instead of cowering from it. To Karen: be an adult, not a short fused mental midget

  5. I feel so bad for the kid, so excited to get a game ball just to be immediately disappointed because a grown ass woman wants to act like a child.

  6. The Marlins and Phillies broadcast crews ripped her a new one. The Marlins gave the kid a gift bag. A local Philly memorabilia store is trying to connect with the family so they can meet Bader at one of their events. All is right in the world of baseball.

Edit: Kid got an autographed bat from Bader after the game too. It was the kid’s birthday.

  7. This exact situation has been happening at the ball park for 100 years. He Who gets the ball keeps it. Then he gave it to his kid. Done deal Karen say your price and move on.

  8. Did that witch just come and demand the ball back, especially after she saw the guy give the ball to the kid and give him a hug?

    She’s outside her mind.

  9. Give it a few days. Internet sleuths will figure out who she is and absolutely ruin her life… all while she plays the victim card because she thinks she did nothing wrong

  10. 1. Im getting security. Lady isn’t getting that ball. Im certainly not taking it from my kid to give to some whiny Woman-child.

    2. Giving into a bully like that just empowers them

    3. She’s a loser. She doesn’t get to act like a jerk and get her way. She isn’t entitled to anything.

There really isn’t a right/wrong here, I just wish they kept the ball and got security. I hate to see assholes get what they want, by being assholes.

  11. If you’re an adult keeping a baseball with children around, you’re a loser. Just hand the thing off, I assure you it will mean more to the child than whatever void an adult thinks it will fill in their lackluster life.

  12. Guaranteed she leaves a lawn chair or traffic cone out on the street to designate her parking spot in Philly. She will key any car that moves the chair or cone as well.

  13. As a parent I can understand trying to defuse the situation in the moment. You’re trying to keep your kid out of a volatile situation. This woman is miserable and please internet figure out who she is as soon as possible!!

  14. I have had the opposite experience at a baseball game… was trying to get a ball for my nephew during warmup and was chatting with another a woman that also wanted one. She was joking around about pushing me out of the way if one comes our way, we were laughing because she was very obviously joking and i told her I want one for my nephew cause it’s his first MLB game.
She ended up getting a ball after a few minutes, at that time we were separated by 15-20ft and she came up to me and gave me the ball and a pen and said they are signing balls… so I went and got an autographed ball for my nephew for his first MLB game.
