And look, whether he wears the C or not, whether he has an A on his jersey alongside Charlie Makavoy, Poshernak is the leader of this team. He’s been around through ups and downs. He suffered the heartbreak of 2019, the disappointment of 2023. He has developed from a high level skilled goal scorer to both a tremendous playmaker and a defensively responsible player. His production, his long-term commitment to the team, you know, when he signed his big deal, he had to know that there was going to be some turnover along the way. He remains committed to the Bruins and his mindset is redemption, setting the tone, looking to get back to restore the Bruins to what they should be. And that’s a huge thing for me in terms of why he should be the Bye.
