  1. Dat’s it! Fire Dat Davidson. All he got was a 5th round pick and he had to give up a guy, too.

Wait! What? Price went to the Sharks?

What a great move by Grier to pick up another asset! Always three steps ahead.

  2. I know why MG did this. I don’t care. I don’t give a shit how many people defend the practice. It’s Bush League. There were a few players Grier could have offer-sheeted -like The Blues offer-sheeted the Oilers players- that were actually a good fit all the way around (age, size, aptitude) for his system but he didn’t. Did he not want to make waves? Does he still have to pay his dues?

When they were fixing the LTIR they should have put an end to this ‘exploit’.

  3. Damn, would have happily given Grubauer for Price. Price is still worth more injured, unpracticed, and effectively retired.

  4. Sharks Legend: Carey Price.

Even though I understand why the Canadiens did this, it still feels wrong somehow lol

  5. If anyone can correct me if I’m wrong feel free to, but technically isn’t San Jose paying NOTHING.
His SB was paid by the Habs, he’s owed 2 million on base salary but with him being injured, that’s covered by insurance.

If anyone has a better/more in-depth info it would be great.
(Using my example of when I was off work for Injury and has to check in with insurance once a week so they’d “support my wages”)

  6. I know he’s on LTIR, won’t play, and this move was a financial one, but could he potentially mentor/coach the young goalies on the roster? He is technically a member of the team. Do players traded for this reason ever have involvement of any kind with their new team?

  7. Why would anyone trade for him and his contract knowing he wont be playing? Seems bizarre to me. I wouldve want atleast a draft pick for him as well.

  8. Is this gonna be like when Lundqvist was traded to Washington. He’s obviously done, but let’s trade anyway.
