The last two games I just couldn’t even get mad. Didn’t have it in me to continue to get worked up over this team. The expectations are back to 0.
Still expect the padres to make the wild card but this is just frustrating.

If this team misses the playoffs for a 3rd time in 5 years after maxing payroll and selling the farm to “go for it”, they need to clean house. Season ticket renewals are going to be a bloodbath in a few weeks.
Tatis needs to step it up on offense for this team to succeed and having Luis Arraez bat behind him doesn’t help the cause.

I don’t know how people still think we’re making the playoffs. We’re cooked. 3 hits 0 runs last night in Coors field against one of the worst teams of all time. Meanwhile the fucking giants are on fire and quickly going to overtake this shit team. 2010 all over again. Let’s hope it doesn’t lead to 3 WS titles for them and a decade plus of pathetic baseball for us.
I am curious what do yall think the bar is for Shildt to get fired?
My guess if this team gets swept in the WC, he’ll be out. I think that’s why he sounds so upset these days.
The funniest thing about following the Padres is that this team currently makes me want to gouge my eyes out with wooden spoons, and yet they:
– are definitely not the worst Padres team of the last decade (2018)
– are probably not the most frustrating Padres team of the last decade (2023)
– still have a ways to go before claiming to have the worst collapse of any Padres team of the last decade (2021, kinda 2019 too)
Don’t know what to say it’s bad baseball .Winners find solutions .Im sure they are working on finding it .
