How is he behind the dish?
He has done nothing but hit this year, at both Erie and Toledo.
Could be Torks replacement
“Catcher” is probably optimistic here.
He’s averaging over 20 errors / 162 at catcher over his minor-league career, twice what Rogers and Dingler experienced, and is gunning down 12% of base stealers this year in AA/AAA, whereas Dingler was 35% and Rogers 49% in the minors.
He’s not serious competition for an MLB catching role.
