Tennessee Titans fans, we are just over one week away from the regular season for the Tennessee Titans. Starting one week from Sunday, it’s going down in Denver. The debut of Cam Ward with the Tennessee Titans. And this is the NFL game preview. Usually during the season, I do these every Wednesday when they come out. I check out their review and and everything. But since they put it out a little early, I’m going to watch it a little early. Let’s get to it. This is the Titans Broncos game preview for week one. I can’t believe it’s already time to do this. Let’s go. All right, let’s go. Don’t wait to start. Don’t wait to start. Come on. The new look Tennessee Titans hit the road for the start of their 2025 season. Didn’t they say that last year? The new look Tennessee Titans. I’m sick of the new looks. We need some consistency. Equipped with a shiny new number one pick leading their offense. As poised as he looked in college, he looks just as poised sitting back here at quarterback in the NFL. They are off to Denver. Their rookie quarterback getting to see what he’s made of, I guess. Good luck, kid. You get to see what Orange Crush 2.0 is all about. Why not be great? It’s It’s a very tough test for Cam Ward. Week one. First of all, on the road. That’s first thing. Starting your career on the road in a tough environment. anywhere. Week one is going to be tough because every fan is pumped up. Every fan of every NFL team is pumped up on week one because it’s a new season. We’ve been waiting on this all spring, all summer. Denver especially, their fans are passionate and their defense is good. The Broncos are good. Their defense especially is very good. Their secondary is very good. A very tough test for Cam Ward in his debut. Why not be legendary? What a way to kick off your NFL career. First, get used to being a mile high. I mean, if you’re Chich, Chong, or game preview guy, you’re used to it, but a lot of athletes aren’t. You feel me? Then, make sure to dodge the league’s top 2024 pass rush, which is relentless. They have like 44 guys who can bag a QB tough test for the offensive line while trying to complete passes against a secondary armed with the reigning defensive player of the year who can erase your top passc catching option that is going to be intercepted. Tighten up fan and that’s a problem because if he takes away Calvin Ridley we don’t have any other proven wide receivers right now. Hopefully they end up proving themselves. But week one, it’s a tough ass. Have a new hope though. And if a rebellion can rely on a rookie pilot to drop a perfect dime down a tiny shaft with the Empire’s top pass rusher on his tail, then why can’t the same in this game? It’s pretty much the same challenge. Am I right? Wide open at the middle of the field is Calvin Ridley. Luke did have some help from Wedge and Perkins. Well, he helped block for a bit anyway, but he’s going to need a Hannon Chewy level assist to pull this one off. He has to be able to avoid Zack Allen, Jonathan Cooper, Nick Bonito. I said it a second ago, Dan Moore, Peter Scaransky, Lloyd Kushenberry, Kevin Zeitler, JC Laam, that offensive line. It’s not just Cam that’s going to be put to the test right off the bat. It’s those front five. A tough week wonderer right here. Telman, Jonah Ellis, John Franklin Meyers at the very minimum and each of them took down 5 to 13 X- Wings a piece last year. Feels buried. Tennessee quarterbacks were planted on the regular last season, which is why they have two new starters this year. Worth noting that a lot of those sacks were not just on the offensive line. Some of that is a is a quarterback thing, too. And it helps Ward’s a scrambler. And if he can keep things alive, his top wingman, Calvin Ridley, a thousandy dude two years in a row. There is a theoretical drop off from him, though, which means he’ll probably spend all game with Patrick Certan tracking him. Ward’s going to have to be able to hit more than a wamp rat to thread the ball past him. Yeah. I mean, listen, it’s a tough test for Cam. It’s a tough test for the offensive line, and it’s a tough test for the receiving core outside of Calvin Ridley because Ridley’s going to be covered by Patrick Certan. So, I’m looking at Tyler Lockett, Ellio Manor, Jim Ray, DK, Bryce Oliver, Van Jefferson, anybody. Tight ends, hello. It’s time to step up right off the bat. It’s a 100yard pick six for Denver. Van Jefferson, Tyler Lockett make their Tennessee debuts. Lockett is in the vet part of his career, but at least does have some nice years on his resume. Tight end Chiggo Conquo could get plenty of looks as well. Rookie quarterbacks like those tight ends 35 30 25 but even he won’t be easy to connect with. Denver debuts former 49er Talanoa Hufunga at safety who’s pairing with Brandon Jones who is a low-key stud. This is Jones a safety. And Denver also debuts firstrounder Jade Baron at corner. So maybe leans into Tony Pard in the ground game to slow things down. He I know as Titans fans we get annoyed when we hear about the run game. We got to get the run game going. But to be honest with you, if you want to help out your quarterback playing in his first NFL game on the road against a tough defense, getting the run game going would help a lot. Getting Tony Pard and whoever the heck else is playing running back for us cuz Spears on IR Mullings is hurt. But whoever it is, getting that run game going would be great for Cam. Was their most effective offensive option. a race to the end zone. He’s in for the touchdown. He’ll have Broncos newcomer Dre Green Law chasing him from the inside linebacker spot, as well as Alex Singleton, underrated ombre, which also might be true about Denver’s secondyear quarterback. It appears all Bose know football after watching Nick sparkle in his rookie year. He might be the answer to what if Drew Brees could run a little too. Run it, Bo. The goal line. Touchdown Denver. I’m not saying Bo is on Breeze level. settle down. The Van Wilder 2.0 looks like he’s going to be a problem for defenses starting with Tennessee’s which will trot out four new starters. The Titans defense, man. I’m I’m very iffy on the defense is just a lot of unknowns. Bo Nicks, I think, um I’ve talked about it a lot on the channel. Bo Nicks just got better and better last year. Um, you saw him just improving steadily as the season went on. And, um, I’m I I do expect him to be really good this year. I mean, I think he based on what he showed you in his rookie year. It’s like, man, I mean, how could you how could you not think he’s going to be very good? Five if you count Legius Sneed, who didn’t play much last year. Excellent tackle. Sneeed could lock up quite a bit with Knicks’s go-to Portland Sutton. like Ridley 1,000 plus yards in 2024 and like Ridley also kind of the clear target most passing plays. Sutton goes up and makes the catch. Tennessee corners Roger McCreary, Jarvis Brownley are no slouches have safety Xavier Woods and Ammani Hooker backing them up. Hooker 40, Hooker 30 who have to pay attention to Knicks’s new tight end Evan Ingram hurt last year limited but has logged plenty of big games when healthy. so excited that he is healthy and he’s back. Those DBs hoping their front can hurry Knicks. Draymond Jones. Well, that’s a that’s some kind of hope. Hoping that the Titans defense I mean I can I’m concerned about edge rushers, man. I’m concerned. New to Tennessee making his debut. He joins Ardan Key, Jeffrey Simmons, among others. He is swarmed and dropped. Titans pass rush wasn’t great at getting to quarterbacks and their new crew was having to try and get past the Denver O line that made it hard to reach Bo. What they weren’t able to do was spring their running backs very often. But maybe it was the backs. They drafted RJ Harvey in the second round and picked up JK Dobbins who had a career year in LA last season. Breaks a tackle into the end zone. What else? That’s up to you. Take it from here and load up the comments section with your It’s tough. I mean, I remember when they announced, we’re about to see their predictions, but I remember when they announced this as the week one game, I was like, that’s tough. That’s a tough one. Um, man, I guess we’ll uh we’ll see. Let’s see. Did does one person predict the Titans to win? Keys or analysis. Someone has to play the role of analyst cuz I certainly can’t. I’m just game preview guy here with my trusty bag for another year of setting you. I will say this man. It’s good to hear his voice again. That that sounds like football season right there. All up. And our panel of 10 are back for you to be mad at. All Bronco. We’re starting it just like we ended it, baby. But you know what? I’m not mad at it. Like you went three and 14 last year. What do you expect? David. Jeremiah. His name’s David, right? I’m just going to go with last names. Jeremiah has the Broncos winning 3417. That would be a sizable loss. Wolf 2613 Broncos. Rank 2715 Broncos. Grant 2817 Broncos. Brooks 28-14 Broncos. MJD 2713 Broncos. Gordon with the most lopsided score 38-10 Broncos. Holy cow. He don’t even think it’s going to be close. Shook 2613. Broncos at home 2716. Is that the closest 11 11 point game? We’ve got a couple 2817s and then Patra has 2817. So most everybody has it as about a 10 to 13 point Denver victory. But you’ve got a couple here who think it’ll be more sizable than that. Especially Gordon down here who has 13 to 10. Listen, it’s it’s a tough week one matchup for a team that new quarterback starting his NFL career at Denver. Tough environment against a very tough defense and a team that should be good. The Broncos should be good. I mean, they’re a playoff team from last year. I know they didn’t do well once they got to the playoffs, but the Broncos were a playoff team in 2024. It’s a tough It’s a tough ask. It’s a tough ask for Cam Ward and Brian Callahan and this offensive line, but hey, you know, they have no reason to pick the Titans. Nobody has any reason to pick the Titans to win this football game. I’ll give my picks next week, but nobody nobody has a reason to pick the Titans in this game. Tighten up, everybody. Same old blues, same old diner, same corner booth. Familiar bad habits. I’d love to break them, but every time I try, it’s just the same old same old same old sadness, same old tears, same old feeling that I’ve had for years. The doctor gave me meds and yeah, I take them, but even with the help, it’s still the same old same old. So, can you help me break loose? Won’t you help me break free?
