I know it's too early for many, but we should talk now about what's going on with the guys. Is it something in their chemistry or their personal fatigue? Something's not right.
There was excitement, a desire to win, but it seems like they're lost in a hole, not knowing what to do.

  1. Im just happy we waiting till the start of football to start sucking. If the Broncos lose on Sunday imma crash out though

  2. The Mets had a 11 streak loss streak and are now caught up to us so we can get hot and finally take off we have time

  3. This lineup has been garbage all season long. They rank somewhere between the Pirates and Marlins statistically but walk around like they’re on par with the other top teams in the league. Pitching got the Padres to contention despite Tatis, Manny, Arraez, Merrill, etc shitting the bed regularly….

  4. I like how I said Tatis and Manny were ghosts a month ago and they needed to snap out of it; and I was accosted for even mentioning their lack of production

Well here we are guys! At this point we’re not making the playoffs period lol

  5. Tatis leading off just sets a bad tone for the whole game when he starts with a weak groundout or takes a half ass wiff at a third strike. It almost feels like the game is over after the first batter

  6. Not only did we lose to the Rockies, we lost in the most hitter-friendly park, mustering all of 3 hits against the worst pitching staff in the league. All while our best SP was on the mound.

We’re collapsing while SF is hard charging. This is like 2010 collapse vibes.

  7. Our strategy to win all season has been for SP/BP to give up almost no runs and for our sputtering offense to score just enough to win.

I don’t know how, but somehow we have won quite a few games like this. But lately, it has not been working at all. Starting pitching outside Pivetta puts us behind the 8 ball in the first two innings. Nobody in the lineup can even buy a hit.

  8. Yesterday was great pitching by the Rockies starter. I have to admit that. But the inability to do sth about it, alarming. Looked like the thin air in Denver sucked all energy out of our lineup.

  9. With the amount of talent we have now, a lot of people are just expecting to win. I get that. For years we’ve lacked high caliber players, now we have them the expectations are higher than ever before. Seems some people forget that it’s still a sport where anything can happen. Almost hurts more because we now have those quality players and are still failing.

  10. Freeland is the first pitcher in Rockies history to pitch eight scoreless innings with two or fewer hits and 10 or more strikeouts. He’s also the first pitcher do this at Coors Field.

  11. What if we just turn all of our starters into bullpen guys and just go with a bullpen game every game?
