Miami Heat owner Micky Arison: “In 2010, with Dwyane, LeBron and Chris Bosh we knew we could win. Not 1, not 2… I guess it was just 2.”

  1. Yeah, they definitely underachieved. Not sure why that doesn’t get talked about much

  2. Some of yall don’t understand banter and giving friends shit. LeBron isn’t bothered by this

  3. In hindsight, people didn’t realize that DWade only had one more year left of his prime and Bosh was never going to be able to put up more than 18 and 8 as a 3rd banana

  4. The funny thing about that Heat Big 3 is that they just… achieved. Not overachieved, not under, they did right about what they were supposed to do given how talented they were. 4 straight finals, back-to-back chips, an excellent 27-game win streak. They weren’t completely dominant or woefully disappointing, they just did what we all knew they could.

  5. Im not an Arison fan perse but this was legitimately funny. Got lebron doing some perfomative laughing lol

  6. I’ll leave it to others to argue whether they underachieved or not. But IMO the underdiscussed thing is how much worse they could have done.

In 2011 and 2014 they were convincingly beat. But in 2012 and 2013 they survived (the ECF and the Finals, respectively) close battles. A few plays go in the other direction, it’s conceivable they could have ended up with 0 titles.
