San Diego Padres vs Colorado Rockies – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | September 6, 2025 MLB Season

A check of the standings in the NLS. Both the Padres’s and Dodgers losing last night. So the Padres’s find themselves two games back of LA. Fernando the top spot in the order in on the right side. The first pitch of this one is swung on and fouled off to our right. out of play trying to win some games. Fernando grounds one to short stop. Tobar on the run and in time they get Tatis. Four out number one plate. This is on the ground to third to the backand goes Keros. He has shown to be a very good defensive third baseman in the first two games. Two down. Two down here in the first inning as Machado grounds one softly towards third. Keros again on the run and in time. Side down in order. Three ground ball outs in the first inning. Rockies are coming up runs batted in. 96 games, the 292 average on the ground to short. Mason McCoy is at shortstop tonight. Throw off the mark but coming off the bag to apply the tag as a rise. Mickey Monia flips one to center field right at Merrill who’ll make the catch route number two in their order. Takes it the other way to right field. Fernando coming in. few steps to make the catch for number three. Padres’s take a one- nothing lead off of grounded down the line of third. That’s a fair ball headed to the left field corner from third. Lauriano will score. Merrill behind him from first base. Bonorth to be stopped at third. Two more runs are in though and the Padres’s take a three nothing lead. So one down in the inning and here’s Fernando sending one deep and far to deep left center field. Back goes Doyle at the wall. That ball is gone. Three-run home run for Fernando. Padres’s take a six nothing lead. Home run number 20 of the year for Tatis Jr. Oh, Nando. He is everything we talked about. The break runner goes one two pitches high. Throw down there is pretty good. But he missed the tag. Was on a hop. Tobart made a nice play to grab that but the stolen base for a rise. Keeps the pressure on. Now, Luis does not have blazing speed. Not so much control. A big issue to third. It is picked by Keros on the run and in time to end the inning, but the damage has been done. Puts a charge into this out towards deep right center field. Merryill going back and Merryill can’t catch it. Out of his reach. Fernando backs it up from first base. Becky is going to try and score and he will. RBI double for Brentton Doyle. Ground ball vacated right side. That’ll find its way into right. Doyle will score from third and it’s now six-2. Love that gets by him. That’s extra bases of course. Back to the mound. Vasquez will try to start it for two to second for one on to first. There is two. Oh, he needed that and he got it. Matt Kemp 460. There’s a fly ball out toward deep left center field. Back goes Doyle at the wall. Doyle will make the catch. Deepest part of the yard. It’s a fly ball out towards deep right center field. Back goes Doyle to the warning track and again right in front of the wall. Doyle makes the catch. That could be a double into the gap. The popup right side and Cronorth equidistant between first and second. Now closer to first will make the starter McKate Brown. Fly ball short right field in comes Fernando and he’ll make the catch. Way too close for Beck to try it. And the throw wildly on court. That’s going to try and score, but he will be out. Swinging a miss and he struck him out. Gas at 95. line to left field. A base hit for Ferine. Brown from second comes O’Harn. He will score. Padres’s take a 7-2 lead. Freddy Ferine is driven in three. 30th pitch of the inning. And it is diving at third base. Keros run score. Great play to knock it down. Couldn’t do anything with it. And the Padres’s have their six-run lead back again on top 82. down the left field line. That’s going to get in for a base hit. One run is in. Here comes another and the Padres’s will score two and take a 10-2 lead. Two two pitch. Fly ball right center field. Much easier for Doyle this time. And he’ll make the catch. It’ll end the inning. The two-1 pitch is popped up. Shallow right. Cronorth into foul ground will make the catch for out number two. [Applause] Mono is popped up. Second baseman Jay Cronorth in fair ground this time will make the catch. 10 pitch inning. Puts a charge into this on a line quickly that gets down and on a hop to the wall. O’Harn is headed for third to second base with a double goes Lauriano. And that’s what I thought. Two down here in the seventh on the ground to first base down there is Bernabel and he will tag the bag to batting here and leading it off in the seventh. Drives this to left field. Struck pretty well. Lauraniano looking up and it’s off the wall. Ricochet pretty nasty. Lauraniano will send it to third base. It’s a leadoff double for Burnabel to begin things here in the bottom of the seventh inning. One delivery on the ground right side. Conworth can’t get it. It’s into right center. Born will score and it’s now 10 to four. Fly ball center field. Back was Bryce Johnson and that’s into the woods. Three-run home run to the forest. It’s 107. Swinging a miss and Machado strikes out on the slider. So left kind of blooped and that’ll fall fair. Third hit of the night for Hearn. He’s thinking too. Throw is headed to second. He’ll slide in. He’s got himself a double. Swinging a miss. Lauraniano after the curve ball. Runner goes at first and Johnson a ground ball right side to second. Ritter will go to first for the out that ends the inning. Strike three. Slider [Applause] to second and Cerworth will go to second base for one. On to first. That’s two. Huge double play. popped up now from third base is Keros and foul ground to make the catch. One-two pitch and Fernando badly fooled on the slider. Out number two. It’s a late rain falling right now. The fly ball to left field sending back a step or two. He’s there and he makes the catch. Oh, to right field. Struck pretty well. Fernando going back looking up and that ball is gone into the open. Ricky Moniac gets his 19th of the year. [Applause] On the ground towards third. Machado to his left. The throw is good. Two down in the ninth inning. The save here last night. It goes again and a fly ball to right field right at Fernando. He’ll make the catch and the Padres’s win. So the fly out to right and the Padres’s are victorious. Fivegame losing streak comes to an end.

  1. I'm a huge Padre fan… Went to the World Series in 1998 in San Diego… I gotta say, though I don't think either the LA Dodgers or the San Diego Padres wanna win this division. If they both were to enter the playoffs at this point, I'm not even sure they would get out of the first round… How lucky are the San Diego Padres to be only one game out of first place because the LA Dodgers are playing just as poorly as they are

  2. Padres were bound to win but only when you pit them up against an opposing pitcher with a 12.54 ERA. Good god. And they only ended up winning by 2 runs even with that advantage. That is truly sad. If you think this is a glimmer of hope, think again. They just played a really bad team against a very bad pitcher. The padres are the same padres.
