Me, believing in the Patriots & expecting them to win opening day:

  1. PatsDefensive secondary was full of holes in the second half. Geno looked good with his throws.
Gonna be a long season based on todays game but we’ll see.

  2. A lot to digest, but I expected the offense to be able to answer adjustments better under Josh. Seemed like they had no answers for the coverage switch in the 3rd. Couldn’t run the ball either when raining… weird game plan to me in a relatively close game.

Defensively, the front 7 got home and the secondary gave up the big play every time.

They definitely broke the hype train today and I’m sure those 11-6 predictions are going out the window.

  3. And the raiders suck. It’s not like pats lost a Super Bowl contender. They lost to a team who probably doesn’t even make the playoffs

  4. I tried to tell everyone 5 months ago this was coming..

I got roasted on Reddit, YouTube and friends.

Trust me.. it’s only going to get worse from here.

The Patriots secondary when Geno throws the ball literally anywhere:

  6. I’m going to be honest the only thing that really shocked me and has me rethinking shit is lack of run game.

I thought with our 3 backs that would be the strength and play action to help the relievers with separation.

They can’t run for shit this game against a raiders d I wouldnt say is good lol

  7. I just don’t see how it looked like literally nothing had improved compared to last year. And, in fact, Drake Maye somehow looked worse.

  8. There’s something there, but it’s all so new. Felt like a lot of passes just sailed

  9. So frustrating. They know we can run the ball to the outside right? Felt like every run we just got stuffed trying to go straight up the middle

  10. Definitely one of those “i really wish i was wrong moments.” Part of me was secretly believing but reality slapped me like a bitch

  11. Well, if they can’t beat Miami next week, that’ll tell me all I need to know about what this 2025 season will be.

  12. McDaniels always over-coaches. Always trying to seem like the smartest guy in the stadium. There’s more than one reason he’s been such a disaster as a head-coach. Maybe the conversation should be where would he be without Brady and co. rather than the usual Belichick/Brady comps.

  13. I know its just the first game, but I’m going to go ahead and say it. Belichick and Mayo left us with way too many problems for Vrabel to fix off the bat. You all will say I’m nuts, but Maye is not the guy. Never wanted him or Campbell. If our powderpuff CB Gonzo would have played, we still would have lost. Thank god Miami and New York lost too
