If Junior wasn’t lightly jogging around the bases in the first inning off the Brendan Lowe hit then this game is at least tied. Absolutely unacceptable. Frankly he should have been benched for that
It was fun to dream, but it’s just not happening. It’s not. Pitching is good, it’s the consistency of the bats that’s the issue. Baseball is hard yeah; but we can’t coast of excellent pitching. If that were the case the pirates would be a winning team.
Little to no offense will do it every time.
mangum over jlowe might have been more beneficial in that lineup spot today. i know left is mangums better side but he does better right against left than josh does left against left, yet josh has been getting the lefty starts over him.
2 out of the 3 hitters we trotted out in the bottom of the 9th are batting less than .200
We saved 16M by dropping Kim, Wander contract will be void, and we have a new owner and with money to spend. Absolutely no excuse to ever have so many sub-MLB hitters on the roster next season.
Good job bullpen, good bye wild card.
On the bright side, football is back!
