I mean, just a heck of a swing from Bryce Harper RBIs 66 and 67 for Bryce Harper because Jesus Luzardo gets to work and does so with an early lead and it will be interesting to see how he handles his emotions. Obviously, his hometown did not pitch well, his last time he did pitch here in Lone Depot Park. I know that being his old team and his hometown team, he wants to do as well as he possibly can. Swung on line drive, center field Bader a couple of steps to his right. He’s behind, it makes the catch for the final out and just three batters faced here in the bottom of the first duo back to work for the second. Still looking for his first strikeout of the day, eighth pitch of the at bat coming up and it’s a called third strike hernandez looking at there is the first strikeout for Jesus Lazard today win up the 12 pitch and a foul tip held on to by JT Real Muzo and another strikeout for Jesus Lazzaro two outs here in the 2nd 1st pitch to Joey Weamer. That one smacked out to left and Deep Marsh is back and played off the top of the wall. It bounced off the wall front of the Marlins bullpen and Joey Weemer just crushed to double out to left center field. That’s a two out two bagger for Weemer Phillies with a 20 lead but the Marlins threatening here in the bottom of the second, the 12 pitch swing and a miss got him. So he works around the double and strikes out the side here in the bottom of the second. Nice job by Luzardo steps in from the left side facing out to is in there for a called third strike curveball on the back door locked up Schwarber and he went with the breaking pitch again to get a punch out and will take his base. He’s a one out base runner here in the third Harper homered in his last at bat back in the first inning. There’s called strike three. Harper is not going to be happy. A little frustrating. I mean, this is a breaking ball again was in off the plate but john Lip did not think so. Strike out. There are two men gone and that one, a bouncing ball over to third. So has got it let high hot cross time and throw. That’s really close at first base. But a stretch from Wagman does beat Rio Muto by a quarter of a step. Lazard out there for his third inning of work. Rey Johnston brings up another strikeout that’s four straight outs recorded via the strikeout for Jesus the 22. He got him looking, that’s a perfect pitch. He’s throwing it to get swing and miss some chase out of the zone and there he throws it for a strike five strikeouts now for Luzardo and back to the top of the order. Otto Lopez swing and a Miss. He got him 123 go. The Marlins here in the third, three strikeouts for Lazard. Brandon Marsh will go to work against Sandy Altra. That’s right field corner in the Marsh. Around first on his way to second. The throw from Weimer is late and it’s a leadoff double for Brandon Marsh his 19th of the season. Now Harrison Bader steps in a guy with 48 driven in on the Harrison Bader, swung on and hit on the ground up the middle in center field for a base hit Brandon Marsh rounds third. He will score and it’s an RB I single for Harrison Bader. The Phillies lead it three. Harrison Bader delivers again just another outfielder hitting over 300 since August since he came over here four straight hits to begin the inning against Altra and the bases are loaded for Bryson ST. Nobody out one run already across here in the fourth swung line to center and Marc is there. He’ll make the catch tagging at third. Bader. He’s coming home, the throw will go to third and Bader scores standing up and it’s a sacrifice fly for Bryson and it’s a 4 to 0 Phillies lead a couple of things today. I think we haven’t seen the sandy, we’ve seen the last four outs as far as missing with some pitches command. But on the other hand, he’s facing a really good hitting team. He is in the Philadelphia Phillies. Now the batter, one, one hit a mile high on the infield, Sandy evacuates second baseman underneath and he makes the catch on the infield fly and that is out number two, I suppose you chalk it up as a win if can get out of the pace is loaded. Nobody out situation allowing just the run a minute pitch to brayed down the right field line. Weimer got a good read on that. And I don’t think that they were going to be able to double up Hernandez anyway, he was sort of busting it down the line and the ball was not hitting all that hard. So eric Wageman will be the batter runners at 1st and 3rd with one out Wagman drills out to left and deep. Mars is back that will slam off the wall. Augustine comes in to score hernandez. Wheels around. He goes first to third and wagon has an RB I double to get the Marlins on the board. It’s 41 in the bottom of the fourth Marlins in business runners on 2nd and 3rd with just one out. Luzardo deals swing and a Miss. He got a big strikeout there for Jesus Luzardo seventh of the game with a couple of runners in scoring position that will bring javier. So Noah to the plate. Luzardo not out of trouble yet with two outs runners at 2nd and 3rd. That one smothered into the ground and the shortstop Sosa charges he fires on the run. It kicks off the facing of the dugout and a run will come in to score. That one bounced right in front of the plate and directly over the top of the pitchers mound and that infield single plates hernandez from third base. It’s an RBI knock for, it’s for two Phillies in the bottom of the fourth. Now, Troy Johnston, the batter left handed hitter, a line drive right field Kepler, he’ll go back, he’s going to have room and he’ll make the catch, but the Marlins able to get on the board, they put two across here in the fourth, two quick outs looking finish on a high note, two outs to bring so to the play , one to Sosa is a ground ball over to short Otto Lopez who’s got it and on the 102nd pitch of the day for sandy, he spins a 1236 for him. He muscles his way through six innings and now two on with two outs going to bring the designated hitter Troy Johnston to the plate and it’s going to bring caleb out to the mound to have a conversation with his left hand, swung on, hit in the air, center field, not deep Bader circles under it and he’s got it for the final out off the end of the bat. Nice pitch by Jesus Lizardo and he gets out of trouble here in the sixth making his major league debut. Now for the Marlins is Christian Rollon Mars to the play that slap to left. That will be a base hit for Mars. He’s thinking about two over to pick it up Hernandez. A throw coming into second is in there safely. Another great job of hitting just staying in his swing and that is a walk issued by Harrison Vader two on one out. Max Kepler to the play his first pitch. That one, a ground ball over to second. A Costa has got it. He turns and fires to second for one on the first. Not in time to get Kepler and the runners at the corners with two men go kicks, runner at first is going, the pitch is taken up and away. So the count is two balls, two strikes runners now at 2nd and 3rd, 2, two is 99 dotted on the lower outside edge and Christian Roa punches out Sosa to tie a bow on a scoreless inning in his major league debut. One of the most feared closers in baseball. Kevin on here in the bottom of the ninth, Marlins trailing by two. And if they’re going to win this thing, they have to somehow find a way to get to this dude. Two down and one final hope for the Marlins is their designated hitter. Troy Johnston, the 2 to 2 swing and a miss, he struck him out and Duran closes the door as the Phillies win it with pitching today. A few timely hits is all it takes to beat the Marlins 4 to 2 as the Phillies win the series here in South Florida.
