They were going to get trounced today no matter what. Outside of Boutte, this was a system-wide failure. Nothing about what the Patriots were doing was working.
Are we pretending now that Peppers is actually good in coverage? Geno probably has 400 with him in the game.
Peppers wasnt a great pass defender but the fact that peppers is still an FA, means there is something
Y’all really just look for shit to cry about, be damned if it actually makes sense or not.
Peppers is worse in pass coverage than any player that was out there today, what are we doing here?
Peppers, known for his coverage …
Because he’s a box safety not a coverage safety? Tell me you don’t understand football without telling me lol
Holding a modern NFL offense to 20 points is an average defensive performance nowadays. Let’s not pretend it was the defense that lost us this game. We only scored 10 meaningful points and the offense struggled to do anything in the 2nd half. Defense definitely could’ve been better, but the offense was putrid.
Casual fans out in full force. Box safety/Sub LB guy wasn’t stopping vertical passes of play action.
Geno killed the Pats last year when Peppers was playing.
I mean geno beat us last year and he was on that team
Not great, but I wasn’t that upset with the defense especially with Gonzo out and a flat start. The offense, however, was horrendous.
Yes the safety that struggled in pass defense would have helped our pass defense….
How did Peppers do this weekend on his new team, since he’s so good?
I don’t think Peppers would have done much, he’s a box safety
The line straight up stuffed the run today. We gave up 20 points. You choose to blame the defense and not the offense? 20 should be a baseline in today’s league. If you can’t score 20, you don’t deserve the win.
I still don’t know what the deal with Peppers was, but it’s a wild take to try and insinuate we would have won the game with him after how lethargic and one dimensional our offense looked.
‘Doesn’t fit what we wanna do, which is give up 400 yards’
Defense had to make up for the lack of offense and they were decent given the fact the offense completely shut down in the second half
We gave up 327 to geno last year with him and gonzo 🤷🏻♂️
Out with the old in with the new just the new isn’t very good
Dont worry, Buffalo will sign him….Go Bills!
Great loss today!
I’m sure having Peppers would’ve made up for the fact that our All-Pro, #1 cornerback wasn’t in the game.
At least we aren’t the dolphins
Who is that player
The important question is…does this guy prevent the extra points scored that prevented us from winning? Does this guy make us throw better, run routes better, have a better offense?
You think a downhill safety strong in run support and weak in coverage was going to help the pass D?
Not connected to anyone on or near the team but I know a few individuals who are. I heard he was let go because it became known he was the one blabbing to the press. It makes Vrabel’s answer to the question about Peppers’ release make sense though.
He wasn’t here for his coverage, I can promise you that.
Cocaine
Geno cooked us last year too
The offense line play was terrible. Maye got hit which is why he over threw for the pick. They couldn’t open a single hole for the backs. The defense gave up way too many chunk plays. Peppers doesn’t fix this. Gonzales would have tho.
Because he sucks in pass pro and was getting cooked by the giants backups
Geno is a legitimate QB in the league, he’s not the same guy who was playing on the Jets he’s a vet with 10+ years of experience.
I get that our D gave up 300 yards passing but they stuffed the run held them to 20 points while our offense put up 13….
Are we seriously pointing fingers at the unit who ultimately played better today? The D was on the field for basically the whole 2nd half…

I mean they were giving up around the same last year with him so I’d call it a wash.
Edit: He had 330 yards last year.
Geno still has 350 yards today even with him in
It seems like a portion of this fanbase just completely attaches itself to some JAG on this team and thinks they’re HOFers.
Chase Winovich, Josh Uche, Kendrick Bourne, Jabrill Peppers
