NFL’s A-list, though,
kicked off the season already. In fact, on Thursday
night in Philly, the new banner was flying. Spit was flying, and in the
end, it was fly Eagles fly. Meanwhile, on Friday,
down in Brazil, Mahomes magic just not enough as
the Chargers and Justin Herbert looked fully loaded in their
big win over the Chiefs, which gives us time to tell
you that we’ve got a huge game coming up next week. So big, we’re taking our pregame
show on the road to Kansas City for the Super Bowl
rematch between the Eagles and the Chiefs to our coverage
of the pregame from KC starts at 11:00 AM Eastern time. Now, these two teams got off
to different starts this year. It is time for precision
preview brought to you by GMC. And, guys, I’m going
to throw it out there. It’s only week two, so
it’s not a must win. Is it already a need
to win game for KC? I think so, right? Absolutely. I think it was
already going to be a big game because of the way
the Super Bowl was played. I think they got mauled, and
anytime there’s a great team or a great player, you
want your retribution, and this was going to be it. Now with the loss in week one,
I think it magnifies that. Jay, three plays in
the offense, three plays into the game,
Xavier worthy went down with that shoulder injury. What’s his status? Actually, Xavier
Worthy, he actually dislocated that shoulder the
moment Travis Kelce hit him. And when he got to the ground,
the Chiefs popped it back in. So here’s the deal. He’s getting a
second opinion today. There was a labral
tear in there. There was no bone fractures,
which helps it out. But the decision now
is, do the surgery now? Do we do in the offseason? They do it in the
offseason, they can continue to play this
year and they’re just going to have to monitor it. But he won’t be full strength. He gets– well,
he gets a– again, he’s getting a second opinion. Getting hurt early. Hey, let’s talk about
the Chiefs offense. They didn’t score a touchdown
in the first half of this game. Didn’t score a touchdown in the
first half of the Super Bowl either. Has the rest of the league
figured out something about KC’s offense? I don’t think so. Look, look, when you don’t
play the entire preseason, I don’t care if you
are Mahomes or Kelce, or anyone else, you’re
just not as sharp. I thought the second half,
the Chiefs came back. I thought they played well. I thought both
tackles, the rookie left tackle at Ohio State
74, 71 the right tackle, they weren’t on the
cadence together. All in all, I thought the second
half, the Chiefs came back. But San Diego was
very impressive. Leaving work– losing
Worthy early didn’t help, and I do think what
TB made a point, not playing in the
preseason, the guys having collisions like
that, they shouldn’t even be near each other. Ari, the story after the game
was Jalen Hurts and the spit heard around the world. Gronk, what do you do if you’re
the Eagles with Jalen Carter? Well, I can tell you this,
they shall go up to Jalen Carter and say, hey, we
need you, buddy. We need that pass rush. We need you in the
run game as well. You’re a complete player. Look what happened. They were passing all
over us on the field because we couldn’t
get to the quarterback. Jalen Carter, a special player. They need him. Hopefully he learns
from this situation and can continue to be a
beast on the football field. Just keep it in between
the whistles, buddy. You know, when you got a great
player like that, you walk up, no matter how bad he messed– What do you think? Hey, just don’t do it again. Go. He’s that good. We’re going to be in KC
for the game next week. Don’t make him mad. Brisket, ribs, burnt
ends, what do you want? – Ooh, burnt ends.
– Burnt ends. I don’t know what they are. Burnt ends with
some barbecue sauce. You know what, you guys? You guys are shortsighted, man. Give me all three. Why live– Aah. There you go.

  2. ā€œKC didnā€™t play in the preseasonā€ uh yeah they did, they played their starters in two preseason games and for a good bit of time too. šŸ¤Ø

  6. not a must win for the birds. i could see them resting key starters like AJ and Dickerson if they are questionable because rams and bucs the following week are bigger games
